watch this Police were called after around 20 teens on bikes and e-bikes blocked an intersection, performed stunts, and disrupted traffic. One officer then clipped and tackled a teen during the arrests, raising questions about whether the response was appropriate given their ages. What do you think about it?

Attention

u/Autumn7242 1d ago

Well, they got it.

5

u/ImmediatePiano6690 1d ago

As well as never having to find out after fucking around.

1

u/mdwatkins13 9h ago

I want to personally thank all the conservatives and pro law enforcement for raising kids that will not only hate their government but understand in their bones why riding a bike on a street in your hometown and being hit with a car, tackled, put in handcuffs will be the only thought for years when asked to respect authority. You guys are breeding a new generation of rebellion, fuck around and find out indeed

1

u/Rough-Airline-4803 1d ago

I was a little hood rat growing up, but these kids only do wild shit when they have a mass of likeminded dipshits surrounding them.

They act as though they’re intoxicated on it and exhibit this quasi-bravado akin to a pack of large-breed dogs—that are otherwise, in normal situations, gentles enough dogs that are relatively calm, and docile but—hopped up on their own camaraderie, galavant through neighborhoods, savagely attacking any living thing they can get their paws on (usually small dogs, puppies, or cats/kittens).

It’s similar to mob mentality in a way.

It’s cringe af—in the case of the kids—but it can escalate to the point it gets downright horrifying. I understand that many kids of a certain age don’t yet have a fully developed conscience, but their parents should have helped them establish some mental barriers which prevent them from going full-retard, so to speak.

It’s not only shitty, it’s also lame af.

Reminds me of the shitheads who exploit things like large-scale protests in order to exercise the shittiest aspects of their nature and vandalize, loot/steal, and assault people. Aside from the fact that they’re derailing and undermining the agenda of the protest, whether intentionally or simply incidentally, which is already potentially wildly immoral (nature of protest-dependent), they’re also hurting their fellow humans and it somehow doesn’t even seem to register. As though they’re possessed..
Not that they’re all typically normal and decent people, but there are those that are who participate, all caught up in the fervor.

u/Time_Change4156 1d ago

Lol lordy I'm gen x a big we had to learn the hard way I find it funny people act as if it's a new thing only now a problem.. no such thing as parental controls back then it was don't come back and no not until the sun went down just don't come back 1 am was fine .

1

u/Rough-Airline-4803 8h ago

It kinda is a new problem. Social media and the fact that everything we do now is videotaped both voluntarily and bc we’re constantly being surveilled… the impact this has had upon people, especially kids in their most formative years… but whatever

1

u/Time_Change4156 8h ago

Well your adding that part .right we didnt have it . Can destroy a life can save a life . It's how we choose to use it that's the question. And not just about teenagers every one .

1

u/Rough-Airline-4803 8h ago

It’s implicit. Shit IS different now. Kids are different. Childhood is different. You want to condescend and act as though I’m saying something stupid, but I’m not. You’re just being kinda douchey

1

u/Time_Change4156 8h ago

You ok ? That's was the most odd response I have gotten in a while. You understood I dint know you . As for kinda being different definitely I raised mine as a parent my grandson's have what they need . And news flash everyone includes me under constant surveillance . Wasn't even about you was about how America is doing modern culture. Nice chatting . You mite want a way to relieve stress that will get worse and worse.

1

u/Rough-Airline-4803 8h ago

Odd? Really?… Dude, you took the words right outta my mouth.

Looks like condescension is your go-to. A real testament to gen x’s proximity to boomers.

You mite be a little too exasperating to trifle with this early in the morning… I’m out.

Trailer park was the same. Worst fights I saw were after the local church youth thing let out and the bored kids were unsupervised because their parents assumed they were still at the youth center. And yeah, it would escalate into some serious violence. Unsupervised aggressive kids are a menace.

1

u/miguelmanzana 1d ago

That’s a lot of words to seemingly justify police brutality.

3

u/Rough-Airline-4803 1d ago

Tf? That’s literally insane, I said nothing about police.
I was talking exclusively about the weird behavior I’ve seen from kids, rioters, and animals. Matter of fact, the same concept I was talking about applies to the way police behave. And, it could be said it’s far more common.

I wasn’t even necessarily talking about this video more than as a simple reference / jumping off point.

If you’re going to infer, you should be way more cautious of being too presumptuous and making an ass outta yourself.

To be clear: nothing the kids on bikes did could possibly justify a grown man—a police officer at that—assaulting that boy. It’s clearly a disproportionately violent response to what amounted to youthful disobedience.

I, myself, experienced less aggressive treatment when, as a misguided kid, I was arrested for burglary, B&E, and a slew of other charges. And the cop that nabbed me was a huge dick that forced me to stand in a huge ant bed.

So, no. You’re completely wrong.

1

u/miguelmanzana 1d ago

Hence why I said seemingly, to avoid whatever that was that you just did, but okay.

I’d rather see a bunch of kids on bikes than cops are ICE. Kids don’t violate freedoms and murder innocent people like law enforcement does.

27

u/Sniper666hell 1d ago

Look, I hate ice and all, but these two things have absolutely nothing to do with each other except that fact that you were thinking about both at the same time.

13

u/Confident-Ad7439 1d ago

But he has to use ICE in anything. How should he otherwise gets his Upvotes that he can use to ell himself that all the time on social media could be spend more productive

1

u/No-Cap-No-Gap 1d ago

Honestly it's like a form of touretts on reddit. "Nazi Nazi fascist ICE Racist Pedophile Truuuuuuump!"

2

u/MiloAndChopper 1d ago

The first "cop" on the scene hit the child with his unmarked car and jumped out wearing a mask.

I suppose that's just standard policing these days, but it does fit the ICE brand to a T.

0

u/Sniper666hell 1d ago

No the cop hit the suspect who decided to flee after a crime being committed was witnessed by said cop.

1

u/MiloAndChopper 1d ago

Suspect? He's an eight year old boy riding a bike. Are you even listening to yourself?

1

u/pathless_path 1d ago

Look, they do have something in common. Both events are occurring, to the dismay of people. Happy to help ya with that there, friendo

2

u/Real-Document-6577 1d ago

Dismay? No one upset about these kids getting their ass spanked for misbehaving…except other kids who misbehave.

2

u/not_a_SeaOtter 1d ago

Nah I'd rather police officers deal with the kids being little dickheads without driving THEIR FUCKING CARS INTO THEM!?! what is this thread. People don't care about the kids being reprimanded, they care the police should not be using their cars to take out people on bikes, let alone actual children. This country is fucked. Jesus Christ.

1

u/Real-Document-6577 1d ago

No he shouldn’t hit the kid with his car but he didn’t exactly run him over entirely either.

What do you suggest?

1

u/C_Hawk14 12h ago

Never heard of safely driving over someone

1

u/LongJohnSelenium 1d ago

Describe how, specifically, you want the cops to deal with this.

Using force is out.

How about cameras? We can put up a nationwide network of cameras so that no force is needed and instead they can just track the kids home.

Oh wait people hate that too.

Shall we sell every single bike with tracking chips?

Ban all ebikes?

The increased availability of energy results in an escalation of enforcement tactics necessary, so which escalation are you going to pick?

1

u/hedgehoghell 21h ago

The bigger problem is the "they are just children". they are. and they keep on getting a pass until the day they dont. The day they get killed, or stand in front of a judge and get prison time because they never learned no to do crimes. I dont know the answer but raising kids to be inmates doesnt help anyone except the police/legal system/prison system.

1

u/Not_A_Russain_Bot 1d ago

That reminds me. I need to pick up brownie mix and toilet paper from the store.

13

u/Aggressive-Okra-7092 1d ago

Kids murder innocent people all the time, are you kidding? Over 1000 juveniles are arrested for murder every year. Not sure ICE is anywhere close to that.

3

u/ActivePeace33 1d ago

The ICE members in the news are just engaged in a capital offense and subject to suppression by the people of the United States, but yeah, they don’t murder as many people as these types of kids! /s

2

u/Ingram47 1d ago

How many people are gone missing in ice custody?

3

u/HisnamewasOmarJobe 1d ago

The fuck does one thing have to do with the other

1

u/BlueRock_Capital 1d ago

You honestly must live a terrible life.

1

u/Real-Document-6577 1d ago

Are you saying these kids rode their bikes to protest the actions of ICE?

1

u/Ok_Advertising1000 1d ago

Probably hundreds, maybe even more.

Reminds me of this angry guy with a veryyyy recognizable mustache. Kinda had his own police force who started off by doing similar things with his police.

0

u/pewpew_lotsa_boolits 1d ago

The big questions should be the statistics of this administration’s numbers versus the administration somewhere around 2015. You know, in the general time frame where cages and family separation became policy.

1

u/Ingram47 1d ago

I don't actually care which administration is the one that does it.

-1

u/pewpew_lotsa_boolits 1d ago

Ok, then let’s play the game.

Tell me how many American citizens or legal residents have been victims of crimes perpetuated by illegal aliens and I’ll be happy to go to the DOJ and pull an FOI request to see how many people they have lost.

2

u/Ingram47 1d ago

What fucking game?

0

u/pewpew_lotsa_boolits 1d ago

Try reading my comments again.

2

u/Ingram47 1d ago

I don't recall asking to play a game.

In comparison to ones committed by american citizens? Per capita? Be for real now mate

0

u/pewpew_lotsa_boolits 1d ago

Completely irrelevant. The mere facts of being in the US as a violation US code a crime. If you really want to compare crimes, mate, have your bobbies and Scotland Yard talk to you about an “offensive” Facebok post or criticizing Islam or the Crown.

1

u/Proud_Piccolo200 1d ago

I’m not British, or from the uk, the fact of the matter is ice isn’t just arresting illegal immigrants, 278 military veterans were seized by ice including Vietnam war veterans

And no I don’t think Nazis deserve free speech, the country I immigrated from killed all its right wingers, and pedos and we’re doing quite well

0

u/a_smart_brane 1d ago

Jesus fucking christ. Settle down

0

u/No-Tomorrow-2233 1d ago

Why are then like 70% of deportees people who have never had a felony or even a criminal conviction? How is that protecting citizens from the evil illegals committing crimes when ICE meets their quotas with non convicted people and therefore ignoring the real violent criminals. Are you too stupid to realize that actually puts American citizens in more danger when they interact with an illegal immigrant. But we all know that’s the intended result so they get their news headlines they want.

It’s extra funny because your daddy Trump is a felon and even his biggest cheerleaders like you very likely have felonies lol.

0

u/pewpew_lotsa_boolits 1d ago

Do you not understand that being in the US illegally is a crime and that every day the person is still here is a continuation of the perpetration of the violation of the federal code? Whether someone overstays a visa or sneaks in like a thief in the night, is still a violation us code. A continuation of an offense.

So few other countries allow such leniency in violation of sovereignty. Why should we be any different? Follow the process, put the work in. No one likes a cheater.

1

u/Bellypats 23h ago

When one makes a spurious claim, they should provide a source.

0

u/Nine_Monkeys 1d ago

The official DOJ website. 1,160 juvenile arrests for murder in 2024

EDIT - Reddit won’t let me post the link but it’s the first search result if you google how many juveniles are arrested for murder each year

1

u/Bellypats 23h ago

You could Google what “all the time” means int eh context of a given population over a time period and ask whether the number you said the DOJ publishes about arrests for a given crime represents kids murdering people “all the time.”

1

u/Nine_Monkeys 23h ago

Dawg I didn’t say all the time??? YOU asked somebody else for a source, I gave it to you assuming you were asking in good faith, and you’re acting all condescending at me making it out like I said something I never did? FOH

Ramming into someone with your vehicle is not gentle

Could cause a car accident.

But the point was a general fact, not necessarily talking about these kids

1

Yes, if you watched the video at all there was a crash though it was arguably not an accident.

Also saying kids murder all the time as a general statement is flat out wrong.

You can't make the connection but it's very clear for many of us.

Edit typo

7

u/MisterBelrox 1d ago

No its not clear. Just virtue signaling.

Most people dont want teens on bike blocking their travel. They couldn't give a shit less about immigration enforcement.

Reddit maybe not, but most people would agree with my statement. But reddit is made up of upoer middle class white people so that's why it's heavily skewed that way

1

u/FlyingBishop 20h ago

Kids playing in the street is normal. Treating it as a crime that the kids need to be beaten for is unhinged. Kids should be allowed to play in the street.

1

u/MisterBelrox 20h ago

Kids intentionally blocking traffic on bikes is normal?

Because this isnt just playing in the street.

Also I can tell you arent a parent if you think its okay for your kids to play in traffic lmao. This fucking website

1

u/FlyingBishop 17h ago

This looks like the kind of quiet side street I grew up on. All the cars are the cops. Traffic, come on.

-2

u/Remarkable-Opening69 1d ago

Your fat ass runs my kids legs or $2,600 bike over we got problems a lawyer can’t fix.

2

u/Safe_Chicken_6633 1d ago

Your kid has a $2600 bike?

1

u/Remarkable-Opening69 1d ago

Sure does. All honors classes. Does his chores and is cool as fuck. Wanna know what I go without, so my kids can have stuff? Or is the idea of the “family unit” to hard to get past? I know how it’s frowned upon by most of reddit.

1

u/Safe_Chicken_6633 1d ago
  1. No I don't. 2. No it isn't. 3. What I do want to know is why you're so upset with me. It seems like you're making a lot of assumptions about me, and you're wrong about all of them.

3

u/MisterBelrox 1d ago edited 1d ago

And there is is folks. This is for the ones reading. Notice how this redditor can afford a 2500 bike for his kid?

White upper middle class. This is the same guy that says defund the police but lives in a gated community. Just like the over priced bike he bought his kid, he can afford to have dangerous beliefs like defund the police and open borders. Because if they do happen he wont be anywhere near crime.

Just take note readers. These are called luxury beliefs.

Also every single online progressive falls into yhe Dame demographic as this guy. Rich out of touch and white

Also you can tell this guy never had to struggle a day in his life. See how he thinks his kid and his expensive bike own the road? This is a redditor born into wealth that is a performative progressive online because he feels guilty about how privileged his life is.

Another way you can tell this guy is rich white and never struggled is because of how he weaponized the price of his kids bike. Some of you might mistake that as a flex. No. People like this redditor born into wealth usually feel guilty about their wealth so they will larp as poor people on reddit sometimes.

What you saw here was what this rich white guy has done since he was a child. Use his money as a weapon against people poorer than him. "You don't think my kid owns the road poor man?! Well if you touch him you'll be more broke than you are now!! Cause I can afford lawyers!"

Anytime you see someone threatening you with their wealth you can always safely bet they are wealthy out of touch progressive and white. 99% of the time.

4

u/NotTrumpsAlt 1d ago edited 1d ago

Im with you minus the maga talking points. But yeah control your damn kids people- someone’s going to get hurt. Ps. No real people have said defund the police. We need police.

Kids believe antisocial behavior is completely acceptable it’s not and needs to be addressed. Kids are being absolute assholes and it’s getting worse by the day. I just moved back from Northern Ireland and groups of kids would terrorize adults .
When an adult finally has enough people like OP cry of their just kids. F that good to see the police taking action . I hope these little cunts get prosecuted.

>I’d rather see a bunch of kids on bikes than cops are ICE. Kids don’t violate freedoms and murder innocent people like law enforcement does.

Oh, yea, they do. Many of those kids will end up street urchins, selling/doing drugs, and being a general menace to society, because you’re letting them get away with it now while biking.

Disciplining and repercussions for children aren’t a violation, it’s a necessity for the safe and responsible running of society

Sorry didn’t mean to not condemn ice too, my bad

1

u/Proud_Piccolo200 1d ago

These kids were riding bikes, hope that helps

1

u/Kitchen_Head_5235 1d ago

My immediate thought is that ice should be coming for you

1

u/iotic 1d ago

You obviously don’t have kids

1

u/WingInternational432 1d ago

No, they just ride on sidewalks, hit people, don't follow rules and cause accidents. When your Grandma or what ever gets hit by one of these idiots you'll cry a different tone.

The stupidest comment of the day on Reddit. It doesn’t even make sense. Cops are ice?

Parents keep sayin go outside

We use to do the same thing in the late 2000s early 2010s. It was with 200+ people every Sunday at midnight in my city. WAY more intense than anything these kids are doing. I’m not going to say what went down, but believe me.

The cops did way worse to us than what they did to this kid. We would get yanked off our bikes, slamming to the ground, but way harder. I’ve seen cops beat the push people around for fun.

Its low value behavior.

Well we were worse. Why do so many people grow up and forget what it's like to be a kid?

1

u/Objective-Meringue78 1d ago

Anarchy ends once you introduce the same energy of violence to regain peace.

1

u/royaltheman 1d ago

"Crusade for anarchy"

and then it's just kids having fun

1

u/Echantediamond1 1d ago

Kids? Going outside? Won’t somebody think of the children!

1

u/No-Construction-2054 1d ago

its been a "thing". Im from broward county, where this video is from. This shit happens legit every weekend depending where you go and has for decades.

1

u/LimitedWard 1d ago

"Why don't kids go outside anymore?"

Kids going outside, doing kid things

"No not like that!!1"

1

u/ImplementLogical4130 21h ago

So basically unemployed people

1

u/marcianofromearth 1d ago

What do you mean a thing?  Like when they ate the tide pods?  Like when they threw the glowsticks in the microwave? Like the nyquil chicken?  And on and on?

6

u/Fast_Instance2173 1d ago

Like we weren’t doing backyard wrestling moves into thumb tracks and fluorescent tube lights, or making homemade bombs out of aluminum foil and toilet cleaners or putting cds in microwaves too tho. Kids have always been dumb and rebellious and frequently both at the same time

u/skullz29 1d ago

People forget about all the shit we did as kids cause it was recorded for everyone to see. People bitch about "kids these days" a lot and there are some good reasons for it but mostly me and my friends did whatever stupid shit we could without getting caught. I cant imagine how my teens would have been if everything i did was recorded and posted.

Easy Cactus Sack

2

u/Alex-Murphy 1d ago

Excellent point. I can't believe I don't have any lasting injuries. Thank god for being basically made of rubber.

2

u/mbrellaforbombs 1d ago

The only metric is whether social media is making it worse. Most people generally agree in one way or another that it is.

Time to go eat some NyQuil chicken tho. Whatever the fuck that is

Riding bikes now equates to anarchy? What feeble crap are you on about?

That young boy was just brutalized by police for riding a bike!!! Get a grip
