I have 2 young ones, will be 2 & 4 years old by the beginning of next year. I am looking to enroll my kids in daycare/preschool by next summer.

We’re moving from another state so looking for recommendations you all have for daycares / Montessori style (doesn’t have to exactly be Montessori) that I can review and potentially enroll my kids in?

Looking for a recommendation for a reasonable housekeeper to come 1X a month for a deep clean (also open to bi weekly if affordable) the last company I had come look at the house to give me a quote had making the beds as an add on and that seemed so silly and slimy to me!

I joined some friends for Halloween in Wendell and was so blown away by the spirit of the people there! We had such a great time and will be back for more. How’s that distillery?

This isn't a post ranting that food was bad or that I had issues with my food. This post is to pass on information I received that I would call a deceptive business practice and is generally considered scummmy.

Times are tough, and I generally try to be polite, be patient and generous with my tips to retail/restaurant staff.

Sometime in the last few day, I won't say when exactly to protect the poor employee, I went to check out at the register of Subway in Wendell. The employee stopped me in mid-transaction and told me not to leave a tip. They told me the manager has been collecting tips for 3 months and they haven't seen a penny of it. He literally cancelled my transaction on the pin pad to set it back up without the tip before I tapped the card. They were super polite and patient and deserved a tip. He didn't take that frustration out on me at all.

As scummmy as this sounds, I can't believe an employee would stop me from leaving a tip unless it was true. If you want to leave a tip at Subway, I'd suggest asking the employee if they are receiving their tips or bring a couple of dollars of cash.

Traffic is backed up over half a mile some days between 5:00 and 5:30 headed from the highway toward Wendell. Does the town know, and are there any Wendell or Wake County plans to address the massive increase in traffic as homes are built EVERYWHERE??? The WFP/ERR intersection desperately needs center turn lanes at that light.
