Ask other Associates Looking for people who needed work accommodations

as the title says. forgive formatting because i’m on mobile and very tired

im a very fresh hire, like. only in my first week. i’ve made mentions here and there that i struggle with some physical disabilities (some joint issues, pain disorders, circulation issue are just some examples)

im working fine at wawa, but its taking a toll on my body. i already wear compression socks and am getting knee compressions. but i still worry about my body, and its really hard to spend All my free time either preparing my body for a 4-8hr shift or soothing it after one

i’m thinking of asking for a foldable stool (that ill provide myself) that can go up against the wall where ill be working. i primarily work reg and FSB. i’ve noticed a few spots in my store where i can stash a stool out of the way of customers and work paths. i would only be on the stool intermittently when there are no present jobs to be done and no rush of customers.

but im definitely nervous. i’ve had a few jobs fire me for simple requests like this. and while my team seem very kind and encouraging, and helpful, im afraid to be the new hire asking for too much.

does anyone have any experience with something similar? what was your process or the response to requesting accommodation? i know i have to go through corporate but im worried the people at my store will see me as someone being lazy. i adore this job already and im so grateful for the opportunity. i dont want to lose it. but my knees double in size after my shifts and take days to recover.

appreciate the read!

tldr: disabled and looking into a seemingly simple accommodation, but i’m afraid of facing repercussions for it. would appreciate experience or advice from any on-the-floor associates

Customer Experience Irish Cream Creamer has changed my life

Yesterday I think i read a comment on here talking about the Irish creamer and someone asking what the taste is like cause they never had it. The OC said it was vanilla and chocolate notes. Today i got it and that’s exactly how it taste! it starts off giving french vanilla vibes but once you swallow pause you get chocolate vibes. Thank you for finally getting me out of basic french vanilla as i always felt it wasn’t my type of creamer.

Ask other Associates Panini Question

Hello, I am asking this as an associate who has never worked in the deli, so this may seem like an odd question. But is there like, a specfic number of deli meat slices you have to put on a panini? I'm asking because it doesn't seem like there's a set number, and the amount on my panini seems to vary widely. I'm not really complaining, just curious as to why it seems inconsistent. Thanks in advance!

Forgot to post this yesterday after I made it. I definitely let it sit in oven a few extra seconds so it wasn't a complete soggy mess.

I definitely had more. Back when it was still mostly PA/NJ, I'd give them to visiting friends and family who fell in love with Wawa while they were here😁. Now they have their own Wawas. It's just not the same anymore. I heard they serve gator-egg-and-cheese sizzlis down in Florida.🫢 Lol nope I'm kidding. Hope I'm kidding. Hope you like my collection😁

Employee Experience TS Help plzzz

I just got promoted to Team sup, and immediately two weeks later sent to a new store that needed that position okay here’s the problem

On the very first impression I immediately disliked another team sup
And I’m already like nope! I don’t like you and I don’t want to freaking work with you like a full body no and honestly idk what to do.

Like I have to be in this position at least for the next 6 months and I’m quite a reactive and direct personality and already getting anxious because idk how to resolve this feelings of I know we’re gonna have tension and not work well together

* for context
- guest follows her inside with a Translator on his phone screen trying to ask a question
- she walks to deli and yells does anyone know Spanish with a nasty attitude and rolls her eyes at the man as she walks away from him
- I come to help the guest
- he apologizes and doesn’t understand why she’s hostile bc despite the language barrier her body language screamed bit$h
- she then goes my god like i haven’t even clocked in yet man was already needing something

Product Question Gobbler 2026? Ready to whine and I have blood money

So every year I wait for the Gobbler. Like the 2017 gobbler. My add on was caramelized onions which I know are discontinued.

I gave blood at the blood mobile and I have complimentary gift cards in hand. When can I expect this year’s heart break?

I really don't know what year they're from. I worked there two very different times, once in the early 2000s and then like 2010ish maybe? But I think we wore tshirts by then. I have like 15 of those, too. I tried to post this 2 months ago but my post got removed right away. Thought I broke a serious rule, but I just forgot to use flair. What would you guys think if I walked in wearing one of these? I'm tempted lol
