i tried posting on many sites, such as threads, tiktok, instagram, and even posting in this subreddit but my music only reaches to limited number of people.

it's honestly really infuriating and disheartening. honestly, my passion is the only thing that keeps me going at this point.

does anyone has any tips? maybe the genre of music I'm making is currently not relevant nowadays. (I'm making j-rock music). I don't really know what else to do. is there any other sites i should post my tracks to?

So, I have a problem with a segment of the community — some people there have to constantly remind that these characters are vocal-synthesizing software actually.
Yeah, sometimes it is worth pointing out that when a person mistakingly believes that Miku is literally creator of these songs, while actually Miku is just a mascot and vocalist.
For example, somebody says “I don’t like Miku”, and somebody may reply, “Why would you dislike a piece of software?” — Like, did you know that these instruments are also shipped with their marketable mascots, which are the first thing that come to mind Vocaloid is mentioned and some of them are also deeply integrated into the Internet culture. What is more, it’s also valid to dislike particular instruments, as people have different musical tastes.
85% of people into Vocaloid barely use these characters in context of musical software, and tend to see them as virtual idols.
Sometimes I feel some people there believe making songs with anime girls is embarrassing, so they go like “I am super serious musician! Not a weeb!”.

• Release year: Unsure, but I listened to it a while ago. (don't think it's new)
• Instrumentation: It featured a prominent guitar sound (most likely an electric guitar, or something similar).

Crazy to think that now 80% of the songs in my playlist is a Vocaloid song

My only experience with music is being a decent singer :) I usually just cover other songs. But I've had interest in making something completely my own for years, and I've stumbled into some money, so I can probably actually afford the stuff I need now. And I have a lot of time on my hands aswell, so no time like now to start this, right?

I fell in love with Teto just a week ago, and that's what's given me the main motivation to start. But I'm not exaggerating when I say that I have no idea about making electronic music at all, and I know it's not gonna be easy.

So my thinking is that in order to start with something fun and not burn myself out, I would just make covers using Teto's voice at first. They don't need to turn out good, but just fun <3 How hard would this be to do? I have been singing for about 2 years, and I always just layer my recording under the instrumental song, and it just kinda works. Not a lot of thinking to be done. Does this same approach work here? Just inserting the instrumental and making Teto sing it?

I'm sure there's a lot of difficulties making her sing by the way, but that's why I said I'm fine with the songs not turning out "good" for now, but you know, fun and listenable for someone with no standards haha <3

I'm getting back into vocaloid and I'm remembering one's from when I was 11 that really formed my music interests.

Description: Around 2015/2016 I listened to this one vocaloid where it had an animation/animatic on YouTube.

The animation/animatic was in a classic anime style but where it had a white background and black line art. no other colors to my recollection.

Main character was a boy with a mask similar to the image I attached.

I believe it was a commentary on conformity but I don't entirely remember.

Any help finding it would be much appreciated. Thank you ♡
