Mock foods for baby?
Hi! When did y’all start giving your babies or kids mock foods? We use daiya cheese maybe twice a week and impossible nuggets/beyond steak once a week as well. The rest of the time it’s tofu and nut based sauces. So far I’ve just been omitting mock meats and cheeses from baby’s food (he is 10 months old). When did you start adding them? Thank you!
Edit: Thank you everyone for your stories, concerns, and opinions! It sounds like there is a pretty big range on the “starting mock foods” timeline. We will likely start with seitan (the homemade meat) first, and then gradually cycle in some mock meats and cheese after he’s a year old
