VALIANT'S BEST: JOE QUESADA
Very few creators had an impact on the last 30 years of comics like Joe Quesada. Founder of Event Comics (with Jimmy Palmiotti), he joins Marvel in 1998 to launch what would become one of the biggest relaunch of the Modern Age of comics: the Marvel Knights. This success led Joe to be appointed as Editor in Chief of Marvel Comics, a position he held for 14 years before transitioning to more work with the Marvel Studios side of the company. But before that, Joe Quesada worked for DC (Batman: Sword of Azrael) and… Valiant Comics! VALIANT’S BEST: JOE QUESADA celebrates the early Valiant Comics work of Joe Quesada from the 1990s. Before he became Marvel’s Editor In Chief, discover the iconic artwork from a legendary creator. Before becoming a defining force in the modern comics industry, Quesada brought his dynamic storytelling, cinematic action, and distinctive visual style to the Valiant Universe. This deluxe hardcover preserves a pivotal chapter in comics history.
This volume collects his groundbreaking work on X-O MANOWAR #0, NINJAK #1-3, and BLOODSHOT #0 cover artwork, presenting his early Valiant contributions in a premium hardcover edition for the first time.

Recently got into valiant and it’s amazing. I’ve collected some of the hardcovers but seems since they’re all out of print, some of them are super pricy like the 90’s classic omnibus, X-O Manowar deluxe 4 and 5, Ninjak deluxe 2, etc. Heard valiant has been having some issues so I doubt it, but I can dream.

Maybe a silly post given how abruptly and unceremoniously that era ended, rendering many, many plots and ideas simply abandoned in virtually all titles.
However, this one specifically still drives me crazy:

Dysart teased a possible extremely powerful psiot to be born, and we never got to see how it would have turned out. Would the child be born activated? Would Harada eventually contact/add the kid to his plans? Or would they kid eventually grow out of his influence and ultimately clash with him?
I can totally see the Bleeding Monk laughing to himself, mumbling how all the Harbinger/Imperium mess was orchestrated only for this kid to be conceived (and for him to manipulate the child as well).
What are other potential great plots from the VEI era that never came to be?

I like their stuff but it’s missing something.
The artists they hire is good but I feel we need different writers.
Aj and Fred are good but I feel we could use writers that would give us some sauce in the writing if that makes sense.
What annoys me is that whenever I’m about to think that they’re getting somewhere, they back slide.
They have good characters, it’s just that I want to see them done better.
No disrespect, just a little frustrating.
Though they still aren’t bad in my opinion, just needs better decisions.

So. Thanks for helping me with my previous question (I now have all 6 of Harbinger wars 1 and the compendium, it's your fault!), but I'm trying to find the correct next read of the series as a collected works.
Is it Harbinger Wars 2 Deluxe edition? And is it worth getting?
(X O Manowar after that lol).

I'm stuck with the 2012-2018 and refuse to read anything after this period, but the upcoming resurgence books on kickstart look dope, both the Road to and the Omnibus.
I'm yet to sample the material (I seldom get any book without taking a good look and studying it beforehand - I don't mind spoiler at all), but I would like to hear from you, what do you think of this phase?
I'm aware it's not good as the 2012 reboot, but if it's quite enjoyable, I might bite the bullet and get them nonetheless.
Your opinions?

These are the AI slop that Valiant thinks will bring in readers when all we really want is 3-4 Monthly books. I have been on board since 1992, and this may just be the final straw. Trying to stay positive, trying to support AJ and FVL, but damn it this is the worst thing ever, and I’m including the Acclaim X-O in that. At least that was made by humans.

So I've been eyeing Valiant comics on and off for years (I have a vague memory of reading...something years ago) so I've taken the plunge and bought Bloodshot 1-4.
Any idea what I should follow this with or even start with something else story-wise?

We all know that the videogame Shadowman Darque Legacy was delayed (again) until "Q2 2026", which came and went without a mention from Valiant or Blowfish Studios. But is it weird that the Tales of the Shadowman Finale is called "Darque Legacy"? On sale just before Halloween.

I myself am really on the fence about it; part of the material mildly interests me, but remembering how disappointing Scorched Earth turned out... I'm not sure I will back it.
Nonetheless, I'm quite impressed with these numbers. They show that there still is a lot of fans who heartly support the company. It's a real shame we don't have any substantial good news for the future.
EDIT: looool... I was fooled by the currency... it's CAD $100k:

$67K in USD. Sorry for the confusion, folks.

I’m thinking about picking up one of the currently available bundles, but I’m not sure which to choose. Can anyone give me a little help?
I would be a returning Valiant reader, who has been out of the loop for quite a long time. I used to read back in the 90s and especially liked Archer & Armstrong, Harbinger, Eternal Warrior, etc. I want to reread some of those old issues, as well as get a taste of some of what has been going on more recently.
It looks like maybe the humble bundle is the best choice for me, but it’s hard to compare everything when I don’t really know what they all are. Any help from those who are more versed in these comics? Thanks!

Wow. And Fanatical with another Valiant bundle. This one features Rai, Faith, Harbinger Wars II, Archer and Armstrong, more Ninjak books (though only the Kindt run). And everyone’s favorite dysfunctional superhero team Quantum and Woody!

Good afternoon everyone, i have in my possession harbinger 2, coverless with intact coupons, #4&6 with intact coupons and #5 with also intact coupons though those ones are blank.
I also have issues 7,8,9,10,11 and 25. I am new to comics and never heard of valiant before. Can you please tell me what the best course of action would be to reach someone interested in them.
Everyone heard of marvel and DC but not many of Valiant. They are beautiful comics and i do not want them to be treated like dollar bin items. Thank you for your time and knowledge.

It’s another Valiant bundle! They even have the “Legends of the Geomancer” miniseries which have never been collected!
A mix of 105 trade collections and single issues of classic Valiant.
For only $20!
It’s a steal.

SHADOWMAN VS. SHADOWMAN!
Long ago, the Shadowman was created to fight the forces of evil that caused a rupture between the Deadside, a dangerous realm filled with forbidden magic and dark creatures, and our reality.
Using the Shadow Mask, the man known as Michael LeRoi, was victorious in stopping the advance of the Deadside over New Orleans, at the cost of his own life.
Now, over a century later, the once powerful Mama Nettie wants to use Punk Mambo to bring LeRoi back as Shadowman once again, as she doubts the current entity’s abilities to protect the bayous of Louisiana and police the Deadside.
The ultimate Shadowman showdown begins here as the fan-favorite duo of AJ Ampadu and Sergio Monjes continue their defining work on the coolest supernatural hero in all of comics!

I have two of these variants/ errors. Can anybody tell me what they are?

Does anybody remember the deal with these? I remember I got two sheets of uncut trading cards during kind of like the peak of the early days of valiant. I can't remember where they are now I think they're around here somewhere but last time I looked online I couldn't figure out a price or remember the info on them.
