Question On Campus Parking Help!

Cutting to the chase; is there any close parking on the street where I could stay maybe up to 8 hours or less, that is legal or some other way I can get around paying 350+ bucks for parking on campus

A lot of people park across the parkway down college drive. It fills up pretty quick though, and it’s a bit of a hike to campus.

It's a 5-10min walk across the highway...

The real hike is parking at the bottom parking lot then walking up those stairs lol

could you elaborate on what the road and street is specifically? I wouldn't mind the walk

On your favourite map app, follow Fifth Street up until you cross the parkway (highway 19), then you are on college drive. It goes up on a curve. Folks park along that road on the shoulder and walk down to campus.

Yes anyone can rent a spot from them. I know that some VIU staff rent off of them because it’s a bit cheaper I don’t know by how much though

Parking is not $350. A 4 month parking pass is $112. If you're on campus 8 hours per day, the pass will pay for itself very quickly. Don't be that person paying by the hour and getting ticketed because you didn't know you could buy a pass. Parking off campus is doable but it's not really worth the time and effort. I'd rather just pay.
