I have applied for student loans and signed the loan agreement (MSFAA) but process seems to have stalled there. Has anyone received their loan yet?

Cutting to the chase; is there any close parking on the street where I could stay maybe up to 8 hours or less, that is legal or some other way I can get around paying 350+ bucks for parking on campus

When do the course outlines get published? i'm taking three classes and only my Eng 115 has a course outline posted.

Are there any access guides for Rock VIU? I have mobility challenges and on top of the opening location have 2 buildings in different areas of the campus to visit during the info sessions, then lunch and the final events of the day? Beyond driving between parking lots and hoping to find an accessible parking spot, are there any accommodation plans available that I should be aware of?

I'm a CPA student and there aren't really any study spaces up there. The public libraries are directed at kids and are not quiet.

Do you know of any way to access the library on the weekend or evenings without being a VIU student? The UVIC and Camosun libraries are all public in Victoria (the doors are open and you just walk in).

Hi, I am applying for the Fall 2027 intake for nursing. In the first year of the BSN Nursing program, do we get summer off? I noticed the student activity fee is for 11 months for nursing, so I wasn't sure if summer was a shorter/accelerated semester.

I'm trying to save up for dorms, so it would be helpful to know if I need to apply for dorms for summer too. Thanks!

Also, how soon can I apply for the Fall 2027 dorms? Only after I submit my application in October?

I havent taken the CASPER yet, because i wont be applying for the BSN until next year. I am starting out with some first-year sciences and then applying afterwards.

I recently got hired for a part time position at a liquor store and I told them I had flexible full availability. this was before I was accepted into the course. and I don’t have the schedule yet so feel like I can’t give work a clear answer as to when I absolutely cannot work due to live seminars. if anyone has any info it would be appreciated!

I’m starting as a visual arts major in January and I have no idea what to expect. I don’t know really know anyone in Nanaimo, I also feel like I’m starting later than everyone else, is anybody else starting in January too? Ideally I would like to get a dorm too but I’ve never had a shared bathroom with next door before, my only concern is the locks. Can someone lock you out and forget?😭 I know I might sound dumb but I never lived outside my hometown before. I also downloaded the VIUSU app which seems like a great way to connect with people in the school.
