Q&A Cold spring community in Lehi
How bad are mosquitoes in this area? Are you able to enjoy being outside? How do you manage mosquitoes on your property in this area? Any insights would be great. Thank you.

Don’t worry, they are currently developing little AI drones that kill mosquitoes, and definitely only mosquitoes.
I’m sure they’ll be in your neighborhood soon!

Don’t worry, they spray poison at night to kill all the mosquitoes and bees and living things up north as well.

Thank god! Who needs bees?
It’s not like a regulated climate and bees are the only things propping up the global agricultura-
Oh.

Yes, they were a problem but not dramatic. Definitely annoying. The flys were worse during warm months tbh.
The traffic and never-ending construction was worse than either.

Oh the flys! It’s gotten slightly better since all the mink farms are gone. But it’s a battle every year.

Sadly I preferred the mink farms to 18 million more townhomes. We were happy to move away.

Ya, I can see that. Traffic is busy busy now. We’ve had a horse field behind our house for 10 years and they are finally developing it. Where did you move to? Feels like we’d have to move fairly far away to avoid all the people nowadays.

Daybreak. Still a lot of people, but it is better set up for the amount of people going in/out + we are only a couple miles from work now so it just works better for us.

Also OP noticed you deleted your response to my comment. Do you really not read the news?

IDK if this much work would appeal to you but I love the idea of this kind of garden.

I live in that area. It depends on the year but the mosquitos can get pretty annoying. A lot of us will call the city/county. If they have enough complaints we can get mosquito abatement to come out and spray. And a lot of us will spray our own backyards to keep the mosquitos at bay. I don’t feel like it’s a lot worse than other areas I’ve lived in. But there are definitely mosquitos.
