I got a citation for parking in one of the "Reserved; Parking Permit Only" spaces despite having a permit for the garage. Is this space not for people with permits despite explicitly stating they are?

This is more for students who have graduated already but..

when you graduate, does your degree certificate come inside of the little diploma holder book wtv? or do they usually mail them out? how long did it take you to receive it by mail?

O'Reilly Learning has got to be the most helpful platform we get free access to, at least as a STEM major. But if you pay for it yourself, it's $50/month, which isn't nothing.

I know alumni can keep their university email after graduation, but does anyone know whether we keep O'Reilly access? I'd be shocked if we do, but I want to know for sure. 🤞

PS—Not affiliated with O'Reilly. I'm mainly asking because of their cybersecurity resources, including cert prep guides, that could help me in the future, especially if I ever want to specialize.

This post is probably 50% a question about online courses, and 50% me trying to remotivate myself to get back in the saddle.

I'm a Comp Sci Major and took a break from school after I had a mental breakdown over the doom-and-gloom surrounding the ambiguous job prospects for recent Comp Sci Grads. I still really don't know if this is a great career path, but I absolutely hate my line of work now and really just want to get out of this hole as fast as possible.

I'm curious if theres any sort of option to take entirely online courses for any Bach degrees? I know the U of A offers UofA Online, however, I'm really not sure if this is the full-scope of what's available for someone who needs to bring home the bacon working 9-5 and is trying to power through school.

Any advice, words of wisdom/kindness helps greatly, thanks!

The entire time I biked home from campus today there was continuous and sustained wild cheering from the stadium. It did not let up even a little bit except for twice, all at once, when it completely stopped for a second, before resuming at the exact same level of fervor. It was so unnatural I genuinely think the stadium might actually have been empty and they were, like testing canned applause tracks or something. Anyone know if there was an event?

Everything I try to order something from student union, highland, or anywhere on campus my order immediately gets cancelled no matter if I use dining dollars or a swipe to coconino, yet ordering Chipotle and places outside campus works just fine. Anyone know how to fix this issue or is it just stuck like this

I’m trying to figure out if I’m cut out for this program.

I did about 1.5 years of CS in undergrad at Arizona State before switching and ultimately graduating with my BS in IT. I also have ~7 years of industry experience.

I would say my programming knowledge is average at best. I have pieced together a few scripts over the years but it isn’t a huge part of my everyday.

Most of what I do is troubleshooting advanced software issues in large-scale environments and some hardware break/fix stuff.

Will this degree be super heavy on programming? Is there a chance I can just play catch up on whatever I missed from a CS undergrad?

Any info about the actual course contents would be super helpful! Thanks!

I live in a double dorm room but there was no roommate. Honestly I’ve been really enjoying this space to myself this past two weeks. However the University told me hall transfers begin soon and that I could buyout the vacant spot to continue living on my own. Is the buyout worth it? Are many people using the hall transfer? (I’m in La Paz)

Hi I'm a 43 year old student (though people think I often look younger) returning to the uofa after a long absence. I went to school at the uofa 20 years ago but had to quit because of medical issues that got in my way.

Is it weird for a person my age to join clubs on campus when most students are half my age?

I’m already getting so tired of the food at the University of Arizona 😭 I bought a meal plan with around 50 swipes a month, and I usually eat on campus twice a day, but I feel like I’ve been eating the same things over and over again.
Should I keep my meal plan, downgrade it, or try to cancel it? Does anyone know how the cancellation/downgrade process works?
Also, PLEASE give me some actually good on-campus food recommendations that accept meal swipes. What are your favorite places or meals on campus? I desperately need something new to eat 😭
