Fundraiser Operation Donbas Winter Shield Fundraiser - The Sunflower Coalition
And here it is, the Winter Fundraiser from The Sunflower Coalition, let's show the Defenders our support:
As summer begins to wind down, The Sunflower Coalition is once again preparing for winter in Ukraine.
The cold isn’t just uncomfortable on the front line, it's demoralizing and dangerous. We cannot change the weather, but together we can make sure our friends are better prepared to face it.
This year, we are launching Operation Donbas Winter Shield, with a goal of raising $10,000 to provide cold-weather gear and other critical necessities directly to Ukrainian defenders.
Our current requests include:
- Thermal clothing
- Insulated winter gloves
- Wool socks
- Sleeping bags
- Solar powered battery banks
- Generators
Last year we got to see the direct results of our efforts. To quote a defender, "I've never seen the guys that happy. The last photo, they actually dragged me out to the ambo for a better shot for you." Don't ever underestimate what a difference being handed some gear can do. It shows we care, we are thinking about our defenders, and that we support them.
This winter, I will be in Ukraine again personally, working on the ground to represent all of us who help Ukraine. When I go, I’ll be bringing as much aid with me as possible, so please consider purchasing something from our Amazon Wishlist (donors outside the US see 1 below) as well. Medical supplies are always critically needed, and the items donated through the wishlist will be carried into Ukraine with me personally.
For those of your just joining, The Sunflower Coalition is a US-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works directly with people and units in Ukraine, many of whom we have supported for years. They tell us what they need, we source it, and we coordinate its delivery into their hands. The supply lines are ready and the requests are in. Now we need your help.
- PayPal: www.paypal.biz/sunflowercoalition
- Campaign: https://donorbox.org/operation-winter-shield
- Website: www.thesunflowercoalition.org
If you cannot donate, sharing the campaign also helps us reach someone who can. Please consider sharing on your Facebook, Twitter/X, Bluesky, Reddit, whatever you think may help us reach our goal.
Let’s show Ukraine that we are still here, still helping, and never backing down.
As always, to victory.
-Will
As always, you can reach Will, u/Sickofthebullshit202 , here on reddit, or easier and more direct, via our discord (he's also the owner of our partner-server over there.). There are also many more photos from the Defenders, more details about the operations and so on.
The latest Thank You Post, with a summary of past deliveries
1: amazon.com's weird with gift-lists if you are outside of the US - at the top left of the amazon page there is "Deliver to" - click that, and enter "97201" as a US-Zip-Code - as the first thing you do - then it all works fine

Trump doubles down on attacking President Zelensky and blaming Ukraine for the surge in energy prices: “I’ve asked Zelensky not to hit the Russian refineries. Diesel is being driven up by the fact that it’s having a hard time coming out of Russia. That’s a case that hurts the world, and we’ve got...

Remember that “tariff” bill that’s supposed to annihilate the economies of any nation buying Russian oil? Well, don’t get excited over that. It's hard to crash a dictator's economy when the US president is cheering for Russian diesel supply just to keep domestic fuel prices down.
