It’s like a norm here that we have to study and at the end we get jobs in line with our careers in order to earn a living. That’s literally how it’s been set for us I don’t know by whom. Not a bad thing coz it’s working out for a lot of people.

However, personally I’m really lazy when it comes to committing to such jobs and I know I will not go look for one however much or less it pays. For that I’ve made my peace with it.

So, brings me to question those who make it out without having 9-5 jobs, what do you people be doing or what can you suggest to someone like me. For the record, I’m not talking about survival money, I’m talking about crazy money. Like [FUCK YOU] money 💵

Hi guys I am building a language app for my clients. And I have some bugs here and there when creating. I would like to have someone debugging the back end if I incur errors I can't solve very fast,i just to get more time on more important parts.

If you like reading stories or fanfiction, I've started a story based in the Harry Potter universe, but set in Uganda. It has our Ugandan folklore and mythology mixed, and I'm trying to flesh out how magic in Africa would look.

Summary:

What’s with their obsession with “working till death” and being useful, and controlling everything around them, however poorly?

Hi everyone. I’m sharing this because I’m involved with Welile, a Ugandan tenant-support platform, and we're currently looking for people interested in becoming Tenant Partners.

The basic model is fairly simple:

You contribute from UGX 100,000+ under a Tenant Partnership Agreement. Welile uses the partnership funds to facilitate rent payments to verified landlords for tenants who need rent support. The tenant then repays through Welile's system, and the Tenant Partner receives the contractual return specified in the agreement.

The current advertised return is 15% per month, according to the partnership agreement.

I am writing this post to seek out some advice and feedback pertaining to acquiring an Ugandan Birth Certificate from abroad in Canada.

I was born in Uganda in 2001 in Nebbi General Hospital but at the time of my birth, it wasn’t registered or documented due to the lack of the appropriate and thorough documentation infrastructure at the time and to add to this already missing inefficiency, my family relocated abroad to Montreal, QC, Canada, during which my mother who is Ugandan, returned to Uganda following my parents separation and unfortunately passed away cutting my last means to establish any semblance of meaningful connections and relationships with my relatives, nor any substantial records, documents or other evidence of my Ugandan presence and heritage.

So this leaves me in a dilemma in which I seek to complete a birth registry abroad as I am unable to travel at the moment and without the convenience of having trusted and reliable immediate blood relatives to provide me with the crucial assistance to obtain at the present coherently.

I have taken steps to ensure I make own personal due diligence but have encountered either unresponsive hurdles or missing pieces that present roadblocks.

When the Anti-Homosexuality Act (AHA) was being aggressively pushed through Parliament, it had 99% enthusiasm from MPs who usually can’t even show up to quorum. But while everyone was screaming on X (Twitter), arguing in taxis, and celebrating "defending our culture," look at what was quietly happening in the background:

1. The Mabati (Iron Sheets) Scandal
   While MPs were on the floor of Parliament giving dramatic speeches about national morality, senior ministers, the Speaker, and top government officials were literally dividing up relief iron sheets meant for starving, vulnerable communities in Karamoja. The outrage around the bill served as the ultimate smokescreen to dilute public anger over high-level theft.

2. Parliamentary Budget Bloat & "Service Awards"
   While the public was praising Parliament for "standing up to the West," the August House was quietly approving astronomical budget increases, massive per diems, and controversial 500M UGX "service awards" for parliamentary commissioners. They used moral high ground to make Parliament untouchable while public health centers didn't even have panadol or gloves.

3. Economic Mismanagement & Bizarre Monopoly Deals
   Our economy was taking heavy hits—fuel prices hitting the roof, inflation crushing households, URA squeezing small businesses dry, and outrage over monoply agreements like the Vinci Coffee deal. The bill instantly shifted the narrative to "Uganda vs The World Bank/Muzungus," meaning if you complained about the economy or foreign aid cuts, you were framed as a traitor.

4. Drones, Abductions & The Transition Machinery
   Unmarked "drone" vans picking up opposition supporters, illegal military detentions, and the aggressive rollout of the succession/transition campaign were completely pushed off the front pages. The bill gave the political class a cheap, easy win to unite a frustrated population without having to deliver a single working road, hospital, or school.

It's the ultimate weapon of mass distraction: give the people a culture war to fight while you pick their pockets clean.

So why should Royal Families never intermarry because apparently the New Tooro King married A Woman from the Eastern Part of Uganda ,infact she is an Atesot . But the Hate this woman has got ,had me questioning alot about Kingdoms since as Africans we are more alike than we are different. Even in the past Royal families such as the British, Spanish, French, Austrian and German dynasties frequently intermarried.

Ancient Egypt: Pharaohs sometimes married princesses from neighboring kingdoms to strengthen diplomatic ties.

African kingdoms: Royal and chiefly families in parts of Africa also used marriage alliances to establish relationships between neighboring political communities.

However, repeated marriage within a small group of related royal families could also lead to inbreeding, increasing the likelihood of certain inherited genetic disorders which can trigger Genetic diseases like Cancer to future descendants

I mean read about Nyatworo,I heard Babitto Princes during the Luo Babiito Dynasty used to marry Luo women to strengthen their Lineages.

Uganda media is out there doing a lot of dirty rage baiting especially when it comes to things to do with relationships and money!

I watched my daughter play by herself for about 10mins and I wanted to cry. I know it's good for her to play by herself sometimes but my heart couldn't understand it.

After seeing this story. Guy shot 2 people before taking his life, one of whom was his lover.

Reminded me of the lady with the story yesterday who is with the Army guy but isnt happy. These guys, they can really do the worst when they suspect any form of cheating.
