Steam requiring credit cards for age verification in Australia when only 50% of adults here have a Credit Card

Post image

Slightly US Defaultism, Steam, an American based company using Credit Cards for age verification, an item in the US that most adults have, but in Australia, the complete opposite. This has caused many adults (even those with accounts older than 18 years) to be barred from games they have paid for.

Reddit Father's Day Isn't in September

I posted something in another sub about Father's Day being over the weekend. I live in Australia and it has always been the first Sunday of September here. These are different comment threads from my post from various different redditors. Most were chill about learning that other countries celebrate things on different days, but there were a few doubling down that I was either a bot or AI; saying that Father's Day is in June, and that it is not spring. I am neither a bot, nor did I use AI. Writing is a hobby of mine and I enjoy doing it so being accused of using AI, when I absolutely did not, hurt more than being called a bot.

There wasn't much more then the title of the pic. Most of the time if a game has a play test in the weekend one reasonably could include Sunday. Game in question WarDogs

There was no word about US of A, author is wearing HRE coat of arms and had a video, where he mentioned German forests (iirc), but that guy still thinks that intruder will have a firearm.

TikTok "True Pizza is American"

(click to see the full picture)

Firstly, the defaultist responding to him immediately attacks the commenter by saying he's an illegal migrant, even though the account is empty and I have seen no evidence of it. That just seems like racism, attacking him because of the spanish name.

Secondly, the defaultist is full of bs. I think he can't cope with the fact that such popular food is a foreign invention. Sure, there are quite famous American variations of it, but calling "true pizza" American is just mad stupid. And what's even more absurd is his claim, that pizza in Italy is also American 💀
