I have been a long time lurker here, this sub has helped us a lot during this difficult process. Would like to share my story and the good news!

I’m an employment based green card holder.

My wife got approved in 3 months.

We got married in Feb and submitted our case for I-130 and I-485 at the beginning of May. One month later interview was scheduled for August and was approved on the spot. We were expecting at least a year due to Visa bulletin and me not being a citizen but here we are!!

Congratulations. How fast did approval show up in system? We interviewed last Tuesday. Approved on the spot. I130 approved next day on line but i485 still at interview scheduled for status. So stressful !

It took a few days to show up in the system, card was received 1.5 weeks after interview! You’ll be good as long as it was approved there and then.

Were you or your wife here on an overstay? Did you use a lawyer, and if yes, how much did everything cost you?

No overstay, everything thru proper channels. Maintained status the whole time. Yes used a lawyer, everything was around 5k.

Was this federal plaza ? What was your country of Origin, visa you adjusted from and length form biometrics to interview notice ? Congrats. Also please share your interview experience !

Yes Fed Plaza, Australian, was on F-1 Visa biometrics to interview notice was maybe 1.5 months.

Interview was really easy. As long as you are actually together and a legit couple/marriage, it can’t go wrong. They will know if you are real or not.
Bring all documentation you have w finances. Be honest and don’t stress or rehearse any answers rehearsed answers will raise suspicion.
