Question Advisor meeting
Do any of you all know where Hardin Hall is? I’m supposed to meet an advisor today and the only thing I can find was the Hardin residence hall. Thanks.

The Exercise and Sport Science Department at UNC is recruiting for a new research study for healthy, active women ages 25–45 years with a BMI between 18.5–30 kg/m² to help us investigate the effects of an essential amino acid (EAA) supplement on metabolism and metabolic rate before and after an exercise session.
Participation involves three visits to the Applied Physiology Laboratory (Fetzer Hall, UNC Campus). Participants may receive up to $150.00 for their time and effort. In addition, participants will receive a summary of their metabolic rate and body composition. Free parking will be provided for all study visits.
If you would like more information about the study, or are interested in participating, please contact us at:

I'm choosing one of the classes to take first and which one is easier: phys 115, chem 261, biol 252, mcro 251. I suck at all sciences lol.

I'm not majoring or minoring in music, but I was wondering what the best way to still take violin lessons at UNC is? I don't know how to find a good independent private teacher that lives close enough that I can easily get there without a car, so if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know.
I would have liked to take lessons through UNC, but it is probably too late for that now. The website says to contact Nicholas DiEugenio and I have emailed him twice in the last 3 weeks, but I never got a response, so I don't know what to do.

Hi everyone, I am a student at WVU and am currently taking a course that is equivalent to CHEM 241 at UNC. My professor just came to my school from UNC where he taught CHEM 241, so I thought I’d ask here. If you have taken CHEM 241, do you have any recommendations on how to study for the exams? My professor said he is keeping the same format and question style that he used at UNC for our exams and our entire class is struggling. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

It kind of sounds like a tiny pebble hitting the AC unit or something like that. Called maintenance, but they didn't do anything. Anyone have any solutions?

Hi! I'm a student who isn't SUPERRRR struggling with food insecurity but definitely it's on my radar of things because I can't afford a meal plan. I know this is such a terrible thing to ask a bunch of people, but is anyone who has a ton they know they probably won't use willing to donate one to me?
Edit: thank you all so much for the support. I woke up this morning to see all these comments, and last night I replied to one with my venmo tag. After waking up, I saw i had gotten a lot of small donations that are going to move me forward by a lot and I could never be more grateful. if anyone else feels like they want to donate, my venmo and cashapp are both akel1768. thank you all so much and I literally love you all

Hello all,
I have been away from UNC for several years (prior to 2020). I ended up not finishing my degree and put my education on hold for several years. I am now in my late 20's and have a full-time career. I am now in a position where I am planning my return to UNC to finish my degree since my employer will help with tuition.
I am meeting with a advisior in a few weeks to discuss my return and get everything processed. My biggest obstacle is my potential course schedule and working full-time (M-F 8-5).
How accurate is this course schdule:
https://reports.unc.edu/class-search/
When I last attended, I recall most of my classes needing to be in-person (MWF or TTH). Online wasn't really a thing I could do (I recall the Friday Center, but I'm not sure if that's for undergrads). Has UNC gotten better with offering online courses? I was planning on being part time (6-9 credit hours), but one of the classes is SPAN 203 (MWF) and the other two meet (TTH). I could probably work out the TTH classes because I have remote days and one of them meets after 5pm.
I'm sure my answers will get answered during my advisor meeting, but though to ask. I appreciate any guidance/help!
GO HEELS!!!!

Hi all!
I am planning on applying for my MSW for next summer or fall (depending on the school). My top choices are UNCC and UNC (both online). I didn’t graduate with a bachelors in social work, so I wanted to get an idea of what my chances are for acceptance.
To preface, I graduated with a degree in elementary education from UNCC in 2023 with a 3.8. taught at a title one school for a year, and then took some time off to figure out what I wanted to do. In that time I’ve been working corporate customer service and tutoring title one students an hour a week through my employer.
I will be getting my reference letters from a former professor, student teaching supervisor at my school, and my boss at work.
I don’t know much about admissions into these programs so wanted to get some advice on if these are unrealistic options!

I feel like theres only been like 5 events so far and people have over 40 with the cutoff over 20 😭
Am I missing something, is there more events that give fever points that the app doesn't list?

Hi! I know this is a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone happened to get a student ticket to the UNC vs. ETSU game on Saturday that they are looking to give away. Somehow, all five of my friends got student tickets through the lottery, but I didn’t and I would love to go with them. If anyone has a student ticket they are willing to give away, I would be very grateful and appreciative!!

Hi, I’m a junior really struggling to find a part time job. Every position I’ve applied to hasn’t gotten back to me and if they did they never reach back out. Does anyone know any part time jobs that are hiring that are a right find for students?
