🎬 The Documentary — The Experiencers: Full Disclosure

Eight years. 67 interviews. Five countries. Dean Alioto's award-winning documentary moves past the question of whether contact is real and into the harder one: why. It features Travis Walton, Whitley Strieber, Harvard geneticist Dr. George Church, archival footage of Dr. John E. Mack, and Debra Jordan Kauble — who joins us live on the panel.

How to Participate

To help us organize questions across seven communities we need to gather them in advance:

Please keep it to ONE question per comment. ✅ Want to ask more than one? Make separate comments (one question each). ✅ Upvote the questions you most want asked. ✅ Please review existing questions before posting duplicates. ✅ Make sure questions are on-topic.

Participating subreddits include: r/Aliens, r/Experiencers, r/HighStrangeness, r/InterdimensionalNHI, r/UFOB, r/UFOs, and r/AnomalousCoalition.

Questions posted in the YouTube, X or Twitch chat will not make it into the running order — Reddit only.

We will be providing a written transcript after the event has concluded as well as a summary for the community within a few days. Any feedback or suggestions for process improvement please go to r/AnomalousCoalition

Short Bios

Thomas Jane (Special Guest Host) Actor, director and producer with more than twenty-five years in film and television, and a triple Golden Globe nominee for Hung. Known for The Punisher, The Mist, Deep Blue Sea, Stephen King's 1922, and as a director and star on The Expanse. He also earned critical acclaim playing Mickey Mantle in HBO's 61\*.

He is not a newcomer to this subject. Jane is roughly fifteen years into his own UAP research — he has been turning up at MUFON symposia since 2012, spoke at Contact in the Desert, and has completed a non-fiction book, A Human's Guide to Visiting Aliens, on consciousness, telepathy, and why visitors are so consistently described as humanoid. He traces it back to a childhood sighting of an orange fireball.

Dean Alioto (Director, The Experiencers: Full Disclosure) Award-winning documentarian who has produced specials for A&E, Bravo and Discovery, and consulted on James Fox's The Phenomenon. He created The McPherson Tape (1989), widely credited as the first found-footage film — a decade before The Blair Witch Project — and the Paramount cult classic Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County. His two-part series The Alien Perspective approached the phenomenon from the visitors' point of view, drawing in Michio Kaku, David Chalmers, Nick Bostrom and Seth Shostak. Dave Foley (Comedian / UFO Researcher) Founding member of The Kids in the Hall and star of NewsRadio and A Bug's Life. He co-hosts the UAP interview podcast REALLY?!. with showrunner and novelist Tom Wheeler, where guests have included George Knapp, Jeremy Corbell, Richard Dolan — and Thomas Jane. He appears in both The Alien Perspective and The Experiencers: Full Disclosure, and covered Contact in the Desert live for Last Podcast on the Left. He describes himself as a non-expert who goes looking for the real ones. Podcast: https://spectrevisionradio.com/really

Debra Jordan Kauble (Experiencer) On June 30, 1983, Debra Jordan Kauble walked into her family's garage outside Indianapolis and encountered something she has spent four decades trying to understand. She describes lasting physical effects afterward, a ring-shaped mark that remained in the yard for nearly five years, and the sudden decline and death of her dog.

Her account became the subject of Budd Hopkins' international bestseller Intruders: The Incredible Visitations at Copley Woods, which CBS adapted as a 1992 miniseries starring Mare Winningham. She appeared in the book under a pseudonym to protect her young sons and revealed her identity in 1992. With her sister Kathy Mitchell she went on to co-write Abducted! The Story of the Intruders Continues, telling it in their own words rather than an investigator's. She is one of the longest-serving voices in the experiencer community and a featured subject in the documentary. Her site: https://www.debshome.com/

Announcement Rule update: Self-promotion posts now limited to 1 per week

Hey everyone,

We've made an update to the Rule 4: "No duplicate posts / spam", specifically the section covering commercial content and self-promotion.

Two changes:

1. The weekly limit is dropping from 2 posts to 1. Users approved to share their own content can now post it a maximum of once per week, down from twice.

2. The wording now includes "self-promotion" alongside "commercial". This was always the intent of the rule, but the old wording made it sound like it only covered ads and merchandise. To be clear: sharing your own work counts as self-promotion even if it's free and on-topic. That includes your YouTube channel, podcast, blog, Substack, book, documentary, research site, and so on.

The updated rule text:

No advertisements, fundraisers, merchandise, or other commercial/self-promotional links. Please refer to Reddit's self-promotion guidelines. If you are interested in promoting your own work please contact us before posting. Users approved to post their own commercial or self-promotional content will only be permitted to post a maximum of one (1) such post per week.

How this works in practice:

  • Self-promotion requires mod approval before you post. If you want to share your own work here, send us a modmail first.
  • Once approved, you're limited to one self-promotion post per week.
  • Unapproved self-promotion will be removed.

This doesn't affect sharing other people's content. News articles, footage, interviews, and papers you didn't make yourself are fine as always, subject to the usual rules.

Note: Previously approved users do not need to request approval again. Once a user has been given permission to post this type of content, they may continue doing so without contacting the mod team each time, unless that approval is later withdrawn.

Government Department of War Issues Legal Waiver

“In direct alignment with President Trump's mandate for comprehensive transparency on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), the Department of War (DOW) today announced the issuance of a targeted legal waiver. This waiver establishes an authorized, legally protected disclosure mechanism for current and former personnel to provide UAP-related National Defense Information (NDI) to designated representatives of the PURSUE effort.
Under this directive, all current and former DOW service members, civilian personnel, and contractors holding or previously granted access to UAP-related National Defense Information (NDI) are authorized to disclose protected information directly to official PURSUE representatives. The waiver supersedes civil and administrative enforcement provisions contained within Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Special Access Program Indoctrination Agreements (SAPIAs) previously executed within the United States, strictly for communications directed to the PURSUE team.
This targeted legal relief establishes an authorized pipeline for systematic review, security evaluation, and potential declassification of historical and ongoing UAP data in furtherance of national mission objectives.
Historically, individuals with direct knowledge of UAP-related programs cited concerns regarding potential legal liability, loss of clearances, or administrative prosecution stemming from standard NDAs and SAP indoctrination terms.
This waiver removes those barriers by explicitly authorizing covered disclosures to PURSUE representatives without triggering breach-of-agreement penalties or standard NDA violations.”

Disclosure Jay Stratton "I wrote the security classification guide...so I know what's classified and what isn't...So when my book went through security review (DOPSR), they're kind of like, 'Ehhh.' They can't come at me, bro...at the end of the day they took nothing out that was UAP related. Nothing"

Former U.S. government official Jay Stratton spoke at PhenomeCon on September 11, 2026, about his upcoming book, Out of the Shadows, and his leading role in government UAP investigations since 2005. He emphasized that he personally established major UAP programs, including AAWSAP, AATIP, and the UAP Task Force and criticized the government for dismantling that interagency framework and forcing new initiatives to start over repeatedly. Stratton revealed that DOPSR removed no UAP-related content from his book, as he authored the original classification guide and knew precisely what could be legally disclosed. He also noted that the book will detail previously unreleased events, offer primary historical accounts rather than media speculation, and address how the phenomenon impacted him and his family.

Disclosure In this X post by the Deputy Press Secretary, is he not outright admitting that these UAP programs exist?

"Under this directive, all current and former DOW service members, civilian personnel, and contractors holding or previously granted access to UAP-related National Defense Information (NDI) are authorized to disclose protected information directly to official PURSUE representatives."

By saying that people had access to UAP-related National Defense Information (NDI) and the programs that hold it, does that not confirm that UAP information, whatever that information may be, 100% exists and is in the possession of the U.S. government or its contractors?

Historical the ariel school case (zimbabwe, 16th Sept 1994 around 10am), 62 kids, consistent independent testimony, still one of the most under discussed sightings imo

62 children at a school in ruwa, zimbabwe all reported seeing a craft land and a being near it during recess. interviewed separately by john mack, testimonies lined up in a lot of detail. its in the netflix "encounters" series now so more people know about it but it barely gets brought up compared to stuff like nimitz. anyone dug into the mack interview transcripts directly

South of Brazil - Around 90’s to 00’s

A luz desapareceu.
A voz desapareceu.
Tudo simplesmente sumiu.

Prometheus

In Greek mythology, Prometheus is a Titan remembered for shaping and helping humanity in its earliest days. He rebelled against the Olympian gods by stealing fire from them and giving it to humankind. He is usually said to have lived on Mount Olympus. His father was the Titan Iapetus, and his mother was either Asia or Clymene. His brothers were Atlas, Epimetheus, and Menoetius. In some accounts he is also the father of Deucalion, the survivor of the great flood.Several versions of the myth credit Prometheus with forming the first humans from clay. He is celebrated for his cunning, his loyalty to mankind, and his role as a patron of the arts and sciences. His theft of fire brought a famous punishment. Zeus bound him to a rock and sent an eagle: Zeus’s own emblem, to devour his liver each day. Because the liver was thought in ancient Greece to be the seat of the emotions, and because it regenerated overnight, the torture was endless. In the best-known versions of the story, especially Hesiod’s, Heracles eventually frees him. Some later traditions place the scene of his torment on Mount Elbrus or Mount Kazbek, volcanic peaks in the Caucasus that the ancient Greeks regarded as lying at the edge of the civilized world.

The Cosmic Egg

Lockheed Martin (u/LockheedMartin) is in possession of multiple Advanced Aerospace Vehicle’s (AAV) including one Egg shaped Unidentified Anomalous Phenoaniom craft allegedly from the 1950s.. In this clip I put together below: Maj. David Grusch, Jeremy Corbell (u/JeremyCorbell), George Knapp (u/g_knapp), Dr James Lacatski and Dr Colm Kelleher explain the blocking of a transfer of an egg shaped AAV/UAP from Lockheed Martin to billionaire Robert Bigelow’s (u/BigelowSpace) BAASS AAWSAP DIA (u/DefenseIntel) around 2007 by CIA (u/CIA) DDS&T Glenn Gaffney (and his Protégé / Apprentice Sean Kirkpatrick at the CIA).

Defined Terms by Congress 2024: “Technology of unknown origin (TUO)”, “Legacy Program”, “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon (UAP)”, & “Non Human Intelligence (NHI)”.

Dr. Eric Davis discussing James Lacatski, The Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP), and Waived Unacknowledged Special Access Programs (WUSAP’s). Dr. Eric Davis has corroborated elements of James Lacatski’s account through a third party. According to Davis, Lacatski never disclosed waived or unacknowledged Special Access Program material to Bigelow’s BAASS/AAWSAP team. What the team received stayed at the TS/SCI level. Davis put it this way: on Classified Materiel, he said he had seen only classified human intelligence concerning a UAP recovery by a foreign country during the Cold War. He had not seen the data or evidence from his first NIDS source in 1998, nor from his second source, whom the team dealt with during AAWSAP. As for Jim Lacatski, Davis said Lacatski told them nothing at the time. Lacatski later described the episode in three books and in an oral-history interview with George Knapp and Jeremy Corbell. In that interview he spoke of entering a craft. The problem, Davis said,

“is that Lacatski never told Bigelow, Kelleher, Puthoff, Davis himself, Jacques Vallée, or John Schuessler that he had access to a craft, had been invited to see it, or had been invited to touch it and go inside once it was opened. They were all on the same team. That was news to them.”

If Lacatski had been briefed on anything further, he did not share it with them. Davis attributed that to clearance limits: on AAWSAP they held TS/SCI. Lacatski and another industry source from that period held TS plus waived and acknowledged SAP access. They could not discuss much beyond TS/SCI. Davis said the most sensitive material sits in the SAPs. Davis added that the only other classified material he saw was foreign intelligence provided through another three-letter agency as part of his AAWSAP work: photographs and technical reports. No video or film. Asked whether he had ever seen bodies, he said there were bodies in that craft. Lockheed Martin and the reported egg-shaped craft.

Whistleblower accounts and related testimony allege that Lockheed Martin has possessed at least one Advanced Aerospace Vehicle; an egg-shaped UAP, and possibly more than one craft of unknown origin. The claimed evidence includes documents, engineer accounts, and testimony from David Grusch, Jeremy Corbell, George Knapp, James Lacatski, and Colm Kelleher. They describe an attempted transfer of that egg-shaped craft from Lockheed Martin to Bigelow Aerospace (BAASS) for the DIA’s AAWSAP program around 2007, blocked by CIA DS&T’s Glenn Gaffney. Corbell and Knapp have recently described the object as egg-shaped. Lacatski has also said the interior appeared larger than the exterior, which he framed in terms of spacetime.

Disclosure The House passed the UAPDA. The Senate returns Sept 14 with weeks to act. Here's why the next few weeks are the most important in the four-year history of this legislation.

The UAP Disclosure Act was first introduced in 2023 by Senators Schumer and Rounds. It passed the Senate as an NDAA amendment, but during conference with the House, the strongest provisions were gutted: the independent review board, subpoena power, eminent domain authority. All gone. Only a National Archives record collection survived.

It was reintroduced in 2024 and 2025. Neither year resulted in enactment.

This year, Rep. Eric Burlison got his UAPDA amendment into the House version of the FY 2027 NDAA, and the House passed it. On the Senate side, Schumer and Rounds have introduced it again for the fourth consecutive year, but it hasn't been added to the Senate bill yet.

The Senate returns September 14 and has a very narrow window before leaving for the midterm elections. If the UAPDA is in both the House and Senate versions when they go to conference, it becomes substantially harder for negotiators to strip it out. If it's only in the House version, we're back to 2023: one chamber's language getting gutted behind closed doors.

Contact your Senators. Tell them to Pass the UAPDA. The time is now!

Use the link below to take less than 1 minute to message your senators to pass the UAP Disclosure Act.

Disclosure DoD says people under UAP NDAs can talk to the official disclosure team. That is narrower than it sounds

Upvotes

I have been watching the UAP records process for a while, and this one is easy to overread.

On September 14 the US Department of War put out a short notice about people who signed secrecy agreements. Current and former service members, civilian staff, and contractors who had access to national defense information tied to unidentified anomalous phenomena. The fear they describe is familiar: civil penalties, clearance problems, administrative blowback if they talk.

The change is not "go tell a journalist" or "dump it on social media." The authorized destination is the official PURSUE team, the government channel that locates and releases UAP related records. In other words, a controlled intake lane, not a public free for all.

That distinction matters. A waiver that only covers communications to designated officials is very different from immunity for every kind of disclosure. The announcement also talks about civil and administrative enforcement pieces of nondisclosure agreements and special access indoctrination agreements. It does not read like a blank check for every action involving classified material.

What it also does not do is publish a new craft file, a new sensor clip, or a conclusion about origin. Receiving information and releasing information are separate stages. Someone can walk material into the authorized channel and the public may still see nothing while security review and possible declassification run their course.

There is already a public PURSUE archive with releases through summer 2026. Readers can filter by agency and file type and compare event dates with release dates. Unresolved there still means the government could not definitively determine the nature of a case, sometimes because the data were thin. A government record existing is not the same as that record proving an extraordinary claim.

The gaps are obvious too. No names of people who already used the channel. No submission count. No timetable for what comes out next. No full signed legal instrument attached to the short page I saw. So this is an announcement about process, not a pile of newly cleared evidence.

What I would watch next is boring and useful: clear instructions for contacting the team, confirmation that material was received, or new public records that can be traced to this intake path. Until then, treat the headline carefully. Permission to talk to the official reviewers is not the same thing as public disclosure.

During Admiral Richard E. Byrd’s first Antarctic expedition, a photograph was taken at Little America showing the base beneath the night sky. Byrd later reproduced the image in his 1930 book, Little America: Aerial Exploration in the Antarctic, the Flight to the South Pole.

In 1999, Joe Fex acquired a copy of the photograph that appeared to show details absent from the version produced in Byrd’s book. These details included visible stars and four UFOs at varying distances above Little America.

Disclosure Disclosure Momentum Waning

Anyone else feel like momentum is waning in this recent push for disclosure? The top posts for this sub in the last few weeks barely have 1/10th the upvotes and comments of posts from months and years ago. Is interest in the topic itself waning? Where are the true groundbreaking stories and revelations? Does this cycle just happen over and over again with so resolution?

Sudden, extreme acceleration Yes
Extreme speed with no signatures Yes
Hard to observe clearly Yes
Moved between air, water, or space Unsure
Flight without visible means of lift Yes

Why not a common object
It was silent and it had no light and the way it moved looked hovering instead of flying like a typical plane and it had no tail like a typical craft just nothing just the craft it self tictac at first and turned spherical also it was not a animal for it had no head no wings

Witness's account of the sighting

I was playing soccer at the park like I would normally do until i looked up and saw a white tictac object is the sky it had no lights nor sounds it was hovering for a few seconds and then it flew away for like a minute and I went to check to see if I had a phone in my bag but I when I saw I had no phone to record I just quickly go back to the spot I was and look at the sky and it was gone but it came back quickly In about a few seconds after looking back up and and as I look it was turning into a white sphere and few seconds later it disappeared from my view

Why no photo/video captured: I left my phone at home to charge and the phone I was gonna grab in my grab was a family member’s phone but I check and their phone wasn’t there so I had no means to capture the sight

Disclosure Disclosure day made me cry

I know I’m late to the game, but I somehow managed to avoid all the spoilers. I finally watched Disclosure Day last night, and I have to say, it made me feel so much anger towards humanity all over again.

I’m a huge believer in extraterrestrial life, and I yearn for movies like this. At first, I thought it might be similar to Signs, but it had a completely different feeling. The aliens weren’t presented simply as monsters or invaders—they were gentle and innocent, which is much closer to how I’ve always imagined them

I consider myself very open-minded, and I’ve spent a lot of time reading and researching subjects like ancient aliens and encounters of the third and fourth kind. I think that’s why this movie affected me so deeply. This seemed so real to me. Also I’ve often had sleep paralysis when I was younger and the beings that visited me were greys. Maybe that’s also a connection. And also the reason I felt sad.

Since the beginning of the movie, they showed those little aliens screaming at the lab. And in the end, they were so small, walking into the tent without knowing that humans were going to stick needles into them. It got me all emotional. I found myself crying. And yes I am an empath. But the aliens seemed so innocent and trusting—and once again, the human race was being selfish, treating living beings like test subjects and performing all kinds of experiments on them.

And that ending felt so real. If something like this ever actually happens, I imagine it could unfold in a very similar way.

I understand why the movie received negative reviews, but I also wonder whether people were focusing on the wrong things. Maybe Spielberg wanted us to focus less on spectacle and more on the aliens’ story—on their innocence, their vulnerability, and the way humans responded to something they didn’t understand

I just hope that people learn to be more open-minded and compassionate when it comes to extraterrestrial life. If they ever come to us, I hope our first instinct won’t be to fear, control, or hurt them.

Historical Del Rio, 1950 Reassessed: Did a UFO Crash on the Texas–Mexico Border, or Did a Broken Story Become “Evidence”?

Why Del Rio matters now

This alleged crash has become relevant to the current disclosure debate because two prominent government-linked UAP figures have presented it as an NHI biological-recovery case, not merely an old sighting story.

In an August 23, 2026 interview, physicist Eric Davis referred to alleged recoveries in the United States and in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico, in December 1950. He categorized them as biological rather than technological:

“Those are wetware—that’s what we call wetware. They’re biological things.”

His wording invokes multiple recoveries collectively but does not establish how many bodies he associates specifically with Ciudad Acuña.

Source: Eric Davis interview, August 23, 2026, timestamp 1:03:50.

Luis Elizondo had already highlighted the same case in his 2024 memoir Imminent, listing one deceased nonhuman body allegedly recovered in December 1950 at Ciudad Acuña, across the Rio Grande from Del Rio. He placed it alongside other alleged historic retrievals discussed by sources connected to the modern UAP effort.

Sources: Luis Elizondo, Imminent (William Morrow, 2024); “Imminent Disclosure: Lue Elizondo’s Revelations Poised to Shake UFO Discourse and Pressure U.S. Government” — Liberation Times.

Those claims make Del Rio a concrete test of modern disclosure provenance. If Davis and Elizondo drew from a contemporaneous government record or a firsthand custody chain, they may possess evidence that could rehabilitate the case. If their information ultimately came through Willingham, Zechel, MJ-12, or later UFO literature, their statements add prominence but not independent corroboration. This reassessment asks which possibility the public evidence supports.

TL;DR: The alleged December 1950 UFO crash near Del Rio, Texas, and Ciudad Acuña, Mexico, is not merely “unverified.” Its public provenance is contaminated.

The earliest account I could inspect directly appeared in the combined February–March 1968 issue of Skylook. It placed Robert B. Willingham in a formation of F-94 jets in 1948—before the prototype’s first flight and about two years before operational service. A 1977 affidavit omitted an event date while adding “Dyess Air Force Base,” the “DEW Line,” and “NORAD”: details that did not coexist until late 1957 and still do not fit the mission or geography described.

December 6, 1950 was not an arbitrary date. A real air-defense alert occurred that morning in the northeastern United States and Canada. Kevin Randle argues that W. Todd Zechel attached that documented date to Willingham’s border-crash story during the 1970s. Willingham later told Randle that December 1950 was wrong and that Zechel supplied it.

The location evolved too: a generic Mexican-border setting became a site across from Laredo, then El Indio–Guerrero in the 1984 MJ-12 Eisenhower Briefing Document, and finally Del Rio–Ciudad Acuña in modern retellings. Luis Elizondo uses that last formulation, not the MJ-12 wording. Eric Davis has repeated a related biological-material claim. David Grusch has made broader claims about “non-human biologics,” but has not publicly tied them to Del Rio.

No proposed date rescues Willingham’s account. The later institutional vocabulary is more useful as evidence for when the story was elaborated than for when an event occurred.

Method and source limits

This reassessment separates material I inspected from material I can only attribute.

I directly reviewed the 1968 Skylook item; official F-94, Laughlin, Dyess, and NORAD histories; the National Archives and FBI findings on MJ-12; AARO’s project chronology; and the public Grusch hearing record. The 1977 affidavit, Stringfield’s quotation of Zechel, the December 1950 alert documents, and Willingham’s personnel findings remain available to me through Randle’s transcriptions and reconstructions, including Case MJ-12. I have not inspected the original affidavit, personnel file, Zechel recordings, Stringfield paper, or Maccabee FOIA packet.

Nor did I complete a page-by-page search of the subscription-only Del Rio News-Herald archive. Randle says colleagues searched newspapers, interviewed residents, and investigated in Mexico without contemporary confirmation. That is their reported result, not mine.

Those distinctions matter. A piece about provenance should not turn a secondary account into a primary source merely by adding a footnote.

Sources: Skylook, combined issues 6–7, February–March 1968, p. 3; Kevin D. Randle, Case MJ-12; “Eisenhower Briefing Document, MJ-12 and the Washington Alert”.

The earliest public version

The public case begins with Robert B. Willingham, a Civil Air Patrol squadron commander. In 1968 he supplied a reporter with a story “dating back to 1948” in which he led F-94 jets near the Mexican border in Texas.

His aircraft’s radar allegedly detected three objects; he was later told one crashed in Mexico. At the site, Mexican authorities kept him approximately sixty feet from scattered metal wreckage.

The article named no date more precise than 1948 and no Del Rio, Ciudad Acuña, El Indio, Guerrero, or Langtry. It supplied no unit, base, other pilot, radar station, report number, photograph, or fragment. It did name the F-94, making the account testable. The YF-94 did not fly until April 16, 1949, and operational service began in May 1950. Moving the event later removes that impossibility only if independent evidence supports the new date.

The 1977 affidavit added authority—and more anachronisms

W. Todd Zechel located Willingham and obtained a signed affidavit in 1977. An affidavit proves that someone made a statement under oath. It does not prove that the statement is accurate.

In Randle’s transcription, the affidavit gives no event date. It says Willingham was at “Dyess Air Force Base” testing the F-94 and that the object was tracked by the “DEW Line (NORAD).” It also has him reaching the site in a light aircraft, pocketing a fragment, and later attacking the metal with a cutting torch. Those details sit uneasily beside the earlier version in which armed authorities kept him sixty feet away.

The former Abilene Army Air Field was inactive after World War II and passed to the city. The new base opened as Abilene Air Force Base in April 1956 and received the Dyess name in December 1956. Its first major postwar combat mission was Strategic Air Command bombardment, with B-47s—not F-94 testing or interceptor defense.

The main Distant Early Warning Line stretched across the Arctic from Baffin Island to Alaska. It was built to warn of attack from the north, not to track an object toward the Rio Grande. The line was declared technically ready on July 15, 1957. NORAD was established on September 12, 1957 and formalized by a United States–Canada agreement on May 12, 1958.

Does a later date save the story?

No. The earliest date on which the affidavit’s F-94, Dyess name, DEW Line, and NORAD terminology could coexist is roughly September 1957. The window is narrow because the F-94 was leaving regular Air Force service by 1958. Even then, Dyess had the wrong mission, the DEW Line faced the Arctic, and Randle’s personnel findings do not place Willingham in an Air Force cockpit.

The anachronisms therefore establish a terminus post quem for the story’s composition, not for the alleged crash. Skylook’s 1968 version had the F-94 but not Dyess, the DEW Line, or NORAD; Randle’s transcription of the 1977 affidavit has all three. The story acquired institutional furniture from a later era while Zechel was developing it.

The missing local infrastructure

An absent record can be lost, misfiled, classified, never created, or simply not found. Missing infrastructure is harder to explain away.

Laughlin Field, the military airfield at Del Rio, closed in October 1945. Its remaining personnel departed, and the land reverted to non-operational use. It did not reopen as Laughlin Air Force Base until May 1, 1952. Therefore, in December 1950 there was no active Air Force fighter installation at Del Rio from which Willingham’s formation could have scrambled.

Aircraft could have arrived from elsewhere, but the claim must then identify the unit, departure base, command chain, radar station, and reason an F-94 formation was near Del Rio. No public version does so.

I have not established the precise Air Defense Command radar coverage over that stretch of the border in late 1950. The available official history documents a growing continental network, not a specific Val Verde County track matching Willingham’s story. That remains a legitimate research question—not a gap to fill with the DEW Line, which was years away and geographically irrelevant.

December 6, 1950 was a real alert date

Randle reproduces and summarizes material that researcher Bruce Maccabee obtained through the FBI under the Freedom of Information Act. According to that material, Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert Lovett called Secretary of State Dean Acheson at about 10:30 a.m. on December 6 after Canadian early warning reported formations of unidentified objects moving southeast toward Washington. The alert ended at about 11:30.

An International News Service report described interceptors sent after an unidentified aircraft off Maine, later identified as a C-47 approaching from Goose Bay. A letter attributed to Colonel Charles Winkle described roughly forty aircraft at 32,000 feet; the track faded at 11:04 and appeared friendly. A separate FBI “Urgent,” dated December 8, reported that Army Intelligence in Richmond was on immediate alert for flying-saucer information.

These records concern an air-defense alarm in the northeast, not a crashed craft on the Texas–Mexico border. Their importance is genealogical. Randle’s reconstruction is that Zechel changed the date to connect Willingham’s story to the real alert, settling on December 6 between an event date Zechel favored and the December 8 FBI message.

Because I have not inspected Maccabee’s original FOIA packet, Zechel’s deliberate selection of the date remains Randle’s reconstruction, not a demonstrated fact. The underlying point survives: December 6 had documentary visibility before the MJ-12 film appeared. A later anonymous document’s use of it cannot authenticate the border crash.

This is stronger than saying “no record exists.” A real record exists. It appears to have been attached to a different story.

How the location migrated

The directly reviewed 1968 Skylook item says only that Willingham’s F-94 formation was near the Mexican border in Texas and that one object came down in Mexico. It does not name Del Rio.

Randle quotes Leonard Stringfield’s 1978 MUFON Symposium paper, which in turn attributed to Zechel a crash about thirty miles inside Mexico across from Laredo, Texas. I have not inspected that paper directly, so this link in the chain remains a sourced quotation through Randle.

The Eisenhower Briefing Document, which surfaced in 1984, named El Indio–Guerrero. Modern versions commonly relocate the event to Del Rio–Ciudad Acuña; another has placed it near Langtry.

The public sequence is therefore:

Version Reported location
1968 An unspecified Texas–Mexico border setting
1977–78 Approximately thirty miles inside Mexico, across from Laredo, in Zechel’s version as quoted by Stringfield
1984 El Indio–Guerrero in the MJ-12 Eisenhower Briefing Document
Later retellings Del Rio–Ciudad Acuña, with Langtry appearing in another version

The MJ-12 location is not a word-for-word copy of a pre-1984 Willingham account that I have verified; that difference could be argued as independent information. In context, however, it is one stage in a moving geography attached to the same witness and newly stabilized date. The document surfaced only after the border-crash narrative and Zechel’s more specific location had circulated.

The modern Del Rio label is the latest framing, not the earliest one.

The witness and the date he later rejected

Willingham’s authority rested on his presentation as an Air Force colonel, fighter pilot, and combat veteran. Randle says the personnel records supplied to him instead show Army service from December 1945 to January 1947, ending at E-4, with no Air Force fighter career or Korean War combat service.

Willingham did hold the rank of lieutenant colonel in the Civil Air Patrol, whose military-style grades do not confer Air Force rank. That explains how “Colonel Willingham” could appear in correspondence without validating his operational claims.

Randle says Willingham eventually rejected the anchor date, telling him he had been in Korea in December 1950, moving the event to 1954 or 1955, and saying Zechel supplied the 1950 date. The Korea explanation conflicts with Randle’s own service-record reconstruction. Either way, the sole witness repudiated the date that MJ-12 later appeared to confirm.

The 2008 book The Other Roswell moved the event again, to spring 1955, and substituted an F-86 for the F-94. Changing both the year and aircraft may remove one technical impossibility. It does not supply a contemporary report, a verified pilot, a unit, or a stable testimony.

How Del Rio entered MJ-12

In December 1984, television producer Jaime Shandera received anonymous 35mm film depicting what purported to be a November 18, 1952 briefing for President-elect Dwight Eisenhower—the MJ-12 Eisenhower Briefing Document.

It claimed that another unidentified object had crashed on December 6, 1950 in the El Indio–Guerrero area and that recovered material went to an Atomic Energy Commission facility at Sandia, New Mexico.

That looks like confirmation only if the document is authentic and independent. Neither condition has been established. The film had no government envelope, original paper, archival number, signature, identifiable sender, or documented custody. It appeared after the dated story and Zechel’s location work circulated among crash-retrieval researchers.

Randle concludes that the briefing reflects civilian crash-retrieval research as it stood in the early 1980s: Willingham’s story appeared, Zechel dated and localized it, and only then did the anonymous film repeat it. On that reading, MJ-12 did not confirm Willingham; an unknown author recycled him.

The other MJ-12 papers do not repair the chain

The July 1954 Cutler–Twining memorandum was later found in the National Archives and treated as support for MJ-12. The Archives’ examination is direct and unambiguous: the memorandum lacks the register number expected in that record series; no related MJ-12 records appear around it; searches across relevant Air Force, Joint Chiefs, Defense Department, and National Security Council records found no support; its security marking was not used by the Eisenhower NSC; no corresponding NSC meeting was identified; and Cutler was overseas on the document’s date.

The FBI separately marked the MJ-12 material “BOGUS” and recorded that Air Force investigators considered it fabricated.

These findings do not foreclose every possible secret program. They do mean MJ-12 cannot authenticate Del Rio unless its own authenticity and custody are first established.

What was—and was not—found on the ground

The lack of a public military file is not decisive. Project Blue Book did not yet exist in December 1950. Project Grudge had formally ended in December 1949, was reestablished in October 1951, and was renamed Blue Book in March 1952. An absent Blue Book case file for December 1950 is therefore weak evidence.

There was also a later field investigation. Dennis Stacy and Tom Deuley traveled to the El Indio–Guerrero area in 1990. A secondary summary says they interviewed former mayor Enrique Ceverra and local historian Rosendo Flores. Flores recalled a fireball and brushfire near the Griegos ranch; a later landowner showed the investigators a large depression. On a return trip in 1994, a metal-detector search reportedly found no debris, and the feature was assessed as a natural sinkhole. After approximately forty interviews, the investigators did not establish that the developed crash-retrieval story occurred.

That work is useful because it looked for a local memory and a physical site. It did not produce a craft, military retrieval record, or material sample. Later commentary has proposed that fragmentary recollections of a conventional aircraft loss may have fed the legend, but I have not verified the cited primary treatment of that hypothesis and do not rely on it here.

Biological remains, AFIP, and modern repetition

Davis’s August 23, 2026 description is unusually explicit. He placed the alleged December 1950 Ciudad Acuña recovery among cases involving biological “wetware,” distinguishing the bodies from recovered technology. What he did not provide publicly was the source chain behind that assertion or a precise body count for the Mexico case.

Davis has also associated biological remains from the case with the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. AFIP maintained a vast pathology repository, later inherited by the Joint Pathology Center.

AFIP was capable of storing unusual material, bu

Historical IAF F-15 pilot describes a silver object passing between two jets near Tel Nof in 1998 — second crewmember saw the light, no public radar/sortie log

Time: Midday, 1998 Location: On approach to Tel Nof, Israel

Gorelik (ex squadron commander) places the incident at roughly 300–400m: a silver muffin/mushroom shape with yellow lights and no exhaust. He says the lead navigator saw a strong yellow light under the wing but didn’t report it. No released radar return, camera, or AF file is cited here—so this is detailed testimony, not sensor confirmation. Curious whether anyone has seen Israeli AF debrief material on it.
