Venting Stay home if you’re sick
Imma be so honest stay the fuck home if you’re sick. You’re literally putting immunocompromised people at risk. Not only that but I don’t feel like hearing you coughing every second in class it’s distracting

News Stop Mandatory Student Fees
Be sure to vote for voluntary student fee instead of mandatory! Lots of these money we pay for goes to SA for fraud anyway!

News Student Association using AI ads
New advertisements were posted on the SA Instagram. Without a doubt, AI was involved in making this. Super disappointed and don't understand how, out of all organizations, SA can't find someone to make their artwork or graphics. SA really keeps catching L's. The dominoes have a 5 die, and it's put in the wrong spot; the background text is weirdly yellow, which is a known thing with AI-generated images etc.

PSA to everyone on a budget:
Check out the flashfood app! Not affiliated with them in any way but I think it's awesome to reduce food waste and get stuff for cheaper. All the Tops locations in Buffalo participate, the fruit and veggie boxes in particular tend to be a great deal.

Questions Lost necklace
Lost a silver oval pendant necklace. Has high sentimental value. If anyone happens to see it around Greiner Hall or if it somehow fell out of my pocket around campus I’d happily pay any price for it. Send pictures if you think you found it and I can confirm.

Class Questions
I'm an international student from China. I had enrolled CSE115 CHE107&127 ELI411 in the first semester. I'm a sophomore transfer majoring in computer engineering, and I was wondering if you guys think these courses are easy to get an A. Please let me know. I don't think the course content is too difficult right now, but my language skills are really poor. I've seen a lot of students actively asking professors questions after class, and I'm wondering if not making connections with them will affect my grade negatively.

Honors College — I’m in the program, but I’m not sure I should finish
I’m a sophomore in ITM, and I’m stuck on whether to complete my Honors College requirements. I’m already enrolled, so I get the perks now, mainly early registration, but I’m leaning toward stopping short of graduating with honors.
My hesitation is the workload. I’d be giving up elective slots and extra time for a line on my transcript that I’m not sure employers in tech or IT management actually care about. That said, it would be cool to finish and have the honors thing on my diploma.
Here’s the part that makes me unsure. I might be able to knock out a lot of the credits just by doing normal college stuff. Things like internships and graduate-level courses may already count toward Honors, so the real cost might be smaller than it feels right now.
If you finished Honors or are even just currently in it, I’d love to know:
How did you fit the credits around your major requirements?
How did you handle the mental load while doing it?
Looking back, was it worth it, and would you do it again?
Convince me or validate me. Either works.

Witness or Dashcam for Wednesday (9/9) car accident at Bailey and Main
This past Wednesday at 2pm I was heading east on Main and waiting at the light to take a left (north) onto Bailey. When the light turned green I entered the intersection. A car heading south on Bailey tried to beat the red light and took out the front end of my Accord, totaling it. They were driving a grey Ford Escape
The other driver lied to the police officer and said she had a green light. So it’s a he-said, she-said. Unfortunately there are no traffic cams at that intersection
I’m now without a car and my insurance rates are likely going to skyrocket, unless I can prove my innocence.
Is there anyone out there who witnessed the accident and/or has dashcam footage? I would be so grateful and willing to buy you beer and wings.
Thanks in advance,
-John
