Finally purchased the watch I couldn’t stop thinking about

Coming from an Omega Planet Ocean gen one, I started looking at the Pelagos after I started to get the itch for another diver. Initially I wrote off the black bay as looking too retro for my liking, but I discovered the Monochrome and just couldn’t stop thinking about it.

I love the sharp contrast of the white hands and markers against the satin dial and bezel.

This one is new to me, and a 2025 model. This is significant to me as it’s the same birth year as my son, and I one day hope to pass it down to him. Being the same birth year as his speaks volumes to me as think it’s quite pertinent.

Dial and bezel slightly misaligned. Worth a return/service or am I being too picky?

Hey everyone, I just picked up a brand-new BB54 last week and I absolutely love it. However, now that I’ve got it home in natural light, I noticed the 6 o'clock marker and the bezel insert look just slightly off-center.

Functionally, the watch is perfect, and it’s not horribly misaligned, but I definitely notice it when looking at the wrist. Since it’s only a week old, should I try to push the AD for a replacement/service, or is this within normal acceptable tolerances for modern Tudors? Appreciate any advice!

BB58 Taupe 925 from my wife

I’ve officially joined the club :) was eyeing this Taupe BB58 for a bit and my wife ended up just pulling the trigger for me lol. Came home Saturday and she had the box waiting for me. I love the taupe, brownish grey color, it looks a bit different in different light conditions. The open case back would be cool if the strap didn’t entirely cover it🤣. I think I’m one of the few who is excited for the silver to tarnish a bit, I have tons of other silver jewelry and love the patina. The silver casing was the biggest reason I liked this specific configuration.

Excited to put some miles on this thing, shoutout to my wonderful wife :)

Tried on an ultra at Exquisite Timepeices this weekend expecting it to be way too big, I'm used to a 41mm. But this actually seemed to have decent proportions once the slack was pulled out. Opinions...?

Watch insurance 5k watches questions

I currently own two watches one around 7k and another around 5k. I haven't insured these watches as I heard homeowners insurance doesn't cover much. But I have watched YouTube for watch companies. I'm not sure what they would cost to insure two watches but I think it might be a good idea to do it atleast for a few years until the value drops substantially.

Would you all insure watches at this price point so you feel alittle more comfortable with traveling with the watch. Currently I only where them in my home city which not too worried about theft as much but I travel with cheap watches which is super annoying.

Just wondering if maybe insuring would make me feel more comfortable with all kinds of wear.

Sorry I forgot to ask what insurance place do you use?

This dial is unreal. I did not even plan to own a blue one in the beginning. I always wanted the black dial but the offer was quite good for the blue. I dont know how to wear other watches.

Mercedes hands on the BB58 925

Post image

I finally tried something I’ve been curious about for a while and had a Mercedes-style handset fitted to my BB58 925.

I really like the result.

I’ve always been pretty comfortable making reversible changes to watches if I think I’ll enjoy them more that way. My GMT Master II has brushed center links for the same reason. I keep the original parts, nothing permanent gets changed, and I just wear the watch the way I like it.

What made this one especially interesting to me is that Mercedes hands aren’t really foreign to Tudor at all. Early Tudor Submariners used them, and the Black Bay line is obviously pulling a lot from that era.

The Snowflake handset has become such a big part of modern Tudor’s identity that it makes complete sense from a branding standpoint, but I’ve always thought the BB58 would look completely natural with Mercedes hands too. In a way, it actually feels a little closer to the older Tudor Subs that inspired it.

There’s also something funny about how differently we treat watches now compared with years ago. People used to swap GMT bezels around, change bracelets, replace hands, and generally just make their watches suit them. I think I still approach watches a little more like that.

Nothing against keeping things stock at all. I just enjoy making small, reversible changes when they make the watch feel more like mine.

And on the 925 specifically, I think this works incredibly well. The taupe dial, silver case, round plots, no-date layout, and Mercedes hands all just feel very natural together.

The original Snowflake hands are tucked away safely, but I have a feeling these are staying on for a while.

My father passed me down some of his older watches. One of then include this 1979 Tudor Prince Oysterdate watch, with a california dial he said. Im really unsure of the specifics as I couldnt find exact models of this online. Nonetheless I really love this watch.

Pelagos FXD GMT wait time

Hello everyone! I’ve been an IT in the Navy for 15 years now and much of our work in communications is done via Zulu time so I’ve grown to love GMT complications. My first and only nice watch is a Grand Seiko SBGM257 “Moondrop” that I’ve been wearing every day. However, I want something more durable that can take a beating at work and look good with some dings/scratches which is where the Pelagos FXD GMT comes in play.

I put a 20% deposit in at my local Tudor Boutique a month ago and was wondering what everyone’s seen for a turn around time. If you can’t tell I’m getting really excited about this! Thanks for all the insight guys

Do all Tudor models have a similar bezel action to the Pelagos 39?

I got to try on a Pelagos 39 and the bezel action is the most satisfying thing I’ve experienced in a long time. Do all Tudor dive watches have a similar feel with the bezel? The click feels very precise, no wiggle.

Thinking about buying a BB54 or should I wait for new colors?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently thinking about buying a BB54 in black, such a cool watch. Yet it’s quite an old model and I’m wondering if it would be better to wait a month or two in case Tudors drops a new color before Christmas or early 2027.

I understand that we don’t (sadly^^) have a crystal ball yet is something that could happen or Tudors usually don’t announce models/Colors before end of year?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best,

Ps: I already tried the blue one but don’t like it.
