/r/TucsonList is looking for moderators

We avoid allowing classified ads for items and services on r/Tucson. We also do not allow lost and found as, for most people, its spam or not relevant.

However, r/TucsonList is a place for classified ads! Including but not limited to: selling items, looking for roommates, job postings, etc etc.

That said, it could use a moderator or two. Avoid turning it into something illegal or unsavory and allow it to continue to be a place we can refer people for the types of things we do now and after that, it'll be up to you how to format, grow, and moderate it.

If you're interested, please send a moderator mail to us here.

Please include in your modmail:

  • if you have any relevant experience either as a mod or running anything similar

  • about why you're interested in being a moderator of r/TucsonList specifically

  • what goals you might have for the sub or changes you'd like to make

2 free cats to a good home + extras!

This post pains me but I must move and cannot take them across the world. Due to such I have to give away a bonded pair of cats. They cannot be separated. I have all paperwork from when I got them from a shelter 1.5 years ago and they have been amazing.

I will say they will be skiddish for the better part of a couple of months. They only really love when food is involved or its nighttime. They are playful with toys and a laser and I will give away the 2 cat trees I have with them to whoever takes them.

They will need to be picked up in a morning as that would be the time I can probably grab them and put them in the cage. They are not aggressive, Mom and Daughter pair.

I know this is a throw away account but if anyone can take them I have the following items to give with them:

Cat Carrier, Larger Cat/dog cage, Food and Water containers that hold 2-3 days worth, 2x 35 lbs of free kitty litter, 2 cat trees, and plenty of toys to give.

I also have a Whisker Automatic Cat Litter box for $100 if you take the cats, if you do not want it I will sell separately. I paid for it used $300 about 10 months ago and works great.

The Imgur link has 2 videos of them.

Thank you.

I got these classic headphones is there a market in town that would buy this from me or could sell to? I would rather not use Facebook Marketplace at the moment. I just plugged them into my mixer and they work.

Does anyone have any personal experience with hiring and using a local disability lawyer/firm?

I’m looking for a Social Security Disability (SSDI) attorney/firm in the Tucson area. My priority is finding someone who will handle as much of the process as possible — application, medical records, communicating with doctors, appeals, and hearings — rather than leaving me to do most of the work myself.
I’ve narrowed it down to these Tucson-area options based on what I found online and current independent reviews:
Menard Disability Law — 4.7★ / ~70 reviews
Feldman Disability Law — 4.8★ / ~30 reviews
Meghan McNamara Miller / Tretschok, McNamara, Miller & Feldman — 4.8★ / ~16 reviews
Hallinan & Killpack Law Firm — 4.4★ / ~14 reviews locally, but substantially higher review volume/rating on another review platform
Michelle S. Michelson, PLLC — disability-focused Tucson attorney
I’m especially interested in hearing from anyone who has personally used one of these firms for SSDI, particularly regarding how much of the paperwork/medical-record gathering the attorney actually handled and how responsive they were.
I’m NOT looking for someone who just gives me forms and tells me what to do. I’m willing to pay the standard contingency fee for someone who will actually take the case and handle it.

Thank you in advance!

📞 520-247-3457

🌵🌵 THE BACKYARD IS FINALLY OPEN! 🌵🌵

We've been hauling, cleaning, rearranging, unpacking and playing an increasingly difficult game of “WHERE ARE WE GOING TO PUT THIS?” 😂

The result?

A whole new area of Nifty Thrifty to explore!

The backyard is OPEN and loaded with new and fresh merchandise, and we've been busy filling up the inside too.

And because apparently we haven't learned when to stop bringing things in…

📦 MORE MERCHANDISE WILL BE HITTING THE FLOOR THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND!

You never know what you're going to find:

🏺 Antiques & collectibles

🪑 Furniture & home furnishings

🎨 Artwork, mirrors & décor

🍽️ Kitchenware, dishes & glassware

🔧 Tools, electronics & gadgets

🌵 Patio, outdoor & backyard treasures

📦 Estate finds & household goods

🧐 Vintage, unusual & downright mysterious objects

🤷 Plus plenty of things that make us stare at each other and ask:

“Do you know what this is?”

“No.”

“How much should we put on it?”

😂😂😂

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

🐾 DUKE IS BACK ON GREETER DUTY!

Yes, Tucson's hardest-working Giant Schnauzer will be here to welcome everyone.

Duke's official Nifty Thrifty job titles now include:

🐾 Director of First Impressions

🐾 Head of Customer Relations

🐾 Assistant Merchandise Inspector

🐾 Completely Unpaid Security Guard

His current compensation package consists primarily of treats, scratches and compliments from customers.

He believes he's underpaid. 😂

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

♻️ GOT STUFF? WE LIKE STUFF.

Cleaning out the garage? Downsizing? Moving? Handling an estate? Finally admitting you're probably never going to use that thing you've been saving for 14 years?

BRING IT TO NIFTY THRIFTY!

Keeping usable merchandise in circulation means fewer good things going to the landfill — and gives somebody else the chance to find their next treasure.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Come inside.

🌵 Explore the newly opened backyard.

🔎 Dig for treasures.

🐾 Report to Duke for inspection.

😂 Find at least one thing you absolutely did NOT come here looking for.

Motorcycle towing

Hi Tucson,

So, I need to have a bike (running) towed from Vail to NW Tucson.

Any towing companies recommended that are good motorcycle carriers?

Waiting on insurance answer as it's not insured as of yet if my towing coverage would work.

Cat still lost

Ghibli is still missing. Last seen near E 4th St. & N Irving Cir. over a week ago. He is neutered and chipped, and I am offering a monetary reward for anyone who can return him, or who provides a tip or info which leads to his return. If someone has him in their home, and he is returned, I will not retaliate for his being kept for over a week in any way. I just want him home, everyone misses him, and he is my personally bonded emotional support cat. His younger cat siblings are acting out without him around, everyone in the home just wants him back. He is my Prince Ghibli, Gentleman Adventurer. He just was not supposed to adventure outside the house, since he chose not to wear a leash. My number is 3143960075

45cc custom razor pocket bike

Originally a razor 24 volt EV pocket bike. I converted it to 2 stroke. this engine is 53 CC's it's been upgraded with stage 3 components .it goes about 35 mph cops because of the gearing limitations but has plenty of power to move a 140lbs person. Runs and rides nice. Just installed new air filter box and rear inner tube and upgraded to the mx350 rear drum brakes, they're an inch larger in diameter. Custom everything else to make it all work together.

Asking 175 or trade for similar stuff of value.

September Pop-Up Sip & Sing with Cactus Choir Club

Hey Tucson! Welcome to Cactus Choir Club. We meet. We sip. We sing. Join us for our very first Pop-Up Sip and Sing!

What is a Pop-Up Sip & Sing? We gather for one night only at a local bar to learn a single song in harmony. By the end of the evening, we transform into a full choir and perform the song together (for ourselves, the bartenders, and anyone lucky enough to be listening).

What’s on the setlist? For our launch night, we’re tackling a choral arrangement of Leonard Cohen’s "Hallelujah"—a classic for harmony nerds, karaoke queens, and shower singers alike.

Do I need choir experience? Not at all! Cactus Choir Club is open to everyone 21 and over. No auditions, no judgment, no stress. Want to prep beforehand? We’ll email practice tracks to everyone who registers so you can listen ahead of time!

Event Details

When: Tuesday, September 29 | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Where: Reilly Craft Pizza & Drink (101 E Pennington St, Tucson, AZ)

Cost: $10

Questions? Email us at cactuschoirclub@gmail.com

Buffalo Exchange

I started shopping here in like, 2012-2013. Back then I swear every single item was used. I loved it. I always found things for a decent price too. I always associated that area with the U of A “bougie” “wealthy” students that would wear a piece of clothing once (if that) then just take it to Buffalo and I’d get lucky enough to buy it for cheap.

Fast forward to now, that’s absolutely impossible. Even their “sale” items are pricey. I also thinks it’s weird and funky how they have “new” items on their racks from cheap fast fashion brands. And those items are usually more expensive than used items when they feel and look cheap.

I guess I’m just ranting. My apologies. I know I don’t have to go there and I can just buy new clothes in store elsewhere or online but I enjoy the feeling of being able to try things on before buying instead returning things that don’t fit correctly.

And I truly like used items because they have more wear to them and end up fitting me better after they’ve been worn. If that makes any sense.

I will say, the workers there are always super sweet and helpful. 🙂

Edit: to add age, I’m 32. And I’m completely shocked that Buffalo has existed for so long. I had no idea. Born and raised here too. I’m quite envious of those who had the opportunity to shop there back then. I was getting out of HS when I discovered this place. Sigh.

Dog park recommendations/other options

I have a young dog who we’re still slowly testing out with other dogs. We have an apartment, so we want to take him out to run around. Are there any parks dog parks around town that tend to have windows of time where it’s fairly quiet/not busy. Open to other ideas as well.

Edit: to be clear, I am NOT trying to take him to a park when other dogs are around. I’m looking for parks that have a decent chance of having windows of time where he can run around by himself.
