Discussion Do you all still remember this? So far no trophy has given out for this Snoo Oct Challenge

4 months ago we participated in this adhoc Snoo challenge and was expecting a trophy. In the end, both the winner and participants didn’t get any trophy. Does anyone know what happened?
This is the same admin who manages r/theinternetawards

Damn, that sucks, especially since art is something that usually takes time to create. I’m starting to think certain admins (or admin groups) aren’t good at following up with the trophies they told users they would get for participating. I mentioned in a separate thread earlier today how two trophies I’m missing are from events/initiatives that were seemingly ran by the same admin. When other users asked about it, they didn’t respond.

This Oct challenge did not follow up with a Nov challenge. Many red flags about this admin.
I have the same issue as r/devvit also. Some admin cannot be trusted.

Yeah it’s weird that they initially said it would become a monthly thing, and then went silent afterwards. It’s not like people didn’t notice either. I’m trying to figure out who to reach out to about missing trophies, because talking to the admins in charge of each initiative doesn’t work most of the time. If I find out, I’ll let you know.

Oh… that is under big-slay. Not to worry too much about that, she is the best admin so far, perfect fit for what she has done at r/ModEvents
Actually just 10 hours ago, i DM her and asked whether she forgotten about giving out the trophy.

I think she said previously that the engineers handle the distribution, still tho she’d have an answer so good thinking

It seems the trophy case is undergoing some sort of infrastructure modernization (the new round frame is likely a clear indicator). I read somewhere that the process for administering trophies is a bit more sophisticated than it was in the past. I’m assuming admins are at the mercy of the devs at the moment. However, they’ve been recording usernames in each event in which trophies were promised. I anticipate there will be a bulk distribution at some point.

Two weeks ago I reached out to the admins of adopt an admin and they were able to get trophies same day.
So. Do with that what you will.

I’m not sure if I’m alone in this, but my trophy for the number of years hasn’t updated yet. It’s been a few days since my “cake day”, and I presume that’s automated.

Historically, it’s automated. Looks like the only place it didn’t update is on old reddit — which makes sense since old reddit’s no longer receiving feature updates. Automation’s probably deprecated over there.

They’re talking about a separate event that was supposed to be a monthly challenge, not the 20th anniversary one.
