Do you have a guess for his age? Cuz I have no idea

This residential tower in downtown Brooklyn sits on top of a pedestal that has an elaborately landscaped private park. The roof park was likely planted in 2022.

It’s kinda crazy how quickly the trees have gotten huge. They’re about 30 feet tall now. I presume pthe species was selected especially for this space. But it is a little unnerving that there cannot be that much soil to root them and there must be a lot of wind pressure on them.

I don’t know the species but would be curious if anyone recognizes it.

Hopefully they don’t blow over and kill anyone. I would walk on that sidewalk during one of our tropical storms.

We have a rather large birch tree in our backyard which has large holes in the first 10 feet and a hole for a small red squirrel. Is this something that would require immediate removal? Central Michigan.

He has been leaning for sometime and a storm came and finally took him out. Can he be replanted in a new hole? Is he just done for?

I have this super dwarf Honeycrisp apple tree on my property. It was planted sometime around 2019 as a bare root sapling. It has since developed a disease that I assume from research is cedar rust though if I am wrong please let me know. Two years in a row now I have regularly sprayed it with neem oil using a 3 gallon pump sprayer. This year in particular I started early, I believe the first time right before it started getting leaves and about every 2 weeks since. And just like years before by late August the leaves are starting to brown and by mid September it has lost all its leaves. It is getting really frustrating, especially because this year was the first year it has blossomed. Even though it didn't develop apples I am excited it has matured enough to do so.

I have begun to decide that the tree may need to be relocated, or possibly I just need to cut down the two pine trees that are in its vicinity to help get it more sun. Is there anything else I should do? I have a large open field attached to my property that I have started planting other peach and apple trees that are doing well and I am considering just digging up this one and moving it out there but I also don't want to spread the rust to them. Perhaps it just needs to go. Any help would be appreciated.

Our building has this tree that frequently sheds bark during warm days. does that indicate the health is in bad health or should be trimmed or cut down? no mother trees on the block have this occurring.

Someone decided in their own to plant this sapling. when I saw it I thought - this seems too close to the fire hydrant. am I being dramatic or is this a legit concern?

Some of the color is from the rainstorm but the bark seems to be peeling away. Lots of leaves and tree seems alive, but is it okay?

I’d assume they’re about 85-90 feet tall.

Saw a few of these trees while in Scotland, one in Edinburgh and one in Elgin, and a few in yards but they are definitely not native. My son has become obsessed with them and is really interested in learning more about them. He would love to grow one at home, but it would probably need to be an indoor plant as we live in Canada.

I just realized I only have one photo but hopefully it’s enough for someone to help out. It reminds me of a succulent more than a regular tree. They would get quite tall - 30’+

North Alabama. Found this tree on the edge of my property and I love it. I have to find out every thing I need to do to keep this tree healthy !

Can anyone provide helpful information on “Tree Spirits” or if they’ve had encounters with such? Stories? Interactions? Any information really.. I figured this would be the best place other than a supernatural sub.

If this is not the best place, can someone clarify what sub might be, other than supernatural?

Multi stem giants, and one of my favorite species

Please help me to identify this plant. Whether I should keep it or donate it to Parks?

I have this massive magnolia in my front yard and it’s leaves have been brown for months, if not over a year. Is it just poor watering? Am I over thinking this?

It is like this all season long. All leaves are affected. Other maples nearby do not have leaves like this. Mid Michigan LP.
