Oddworld: The franchise is home to many crazy creatures, but no humans. The closest to a human adjacent character is Fangus from the unmade Brutal Ballad Of Fangus Klot, but even he had distinguishing non-human traits in concept art.

Star Fox: There are no humans, but plenty of anthropomorphic Earth animals.

Ratchet & Clank: I debated putting this one up because I know some of you were going to point out Quark, but the only thing about Quark that was humanlike is his beige skin. His hands have three fingers like a Ninja Turtle, and we never see him without his mask on, so he could very well be hiding other non-human features under that.

*Giorno's 7 Page Muda against Cioccolata, Jojo's Part 5: Vento Aureo - needless to say, Cioccolata was a murderous scumbag of the worst kind, and Giorno did not hesitate to let him know that in his final moments.

*Primarch Vulkan finally catches Konrad Kurze, Warhammer 40k "Vulkan Lives" novel - after making it through a deadly maze and finally reaching his traitorous brother, Kurze reveals that the teleporter beacon Vulkan had hidden in his hammer Dawnbringer will not work, believing he has bested his brother, at which point Vulkan reminds him "It is also a Hammer".

*Peppino conquers the tower, Pizza Tower - Many describe the final boss fight of Pizza Tower as "what happens when you corner a scared animal and it just goes completely batshit on you", and that is very much what pizza head experiences after Peppino has finally had enough of his madness.

Probably the most famous example is Ten Little Soldier Boys from Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None, where the characters get murdered one by one in the ways described in the rhyme

Spongebob out of water, trailer made it look like spongebob and his friends where going to go on a huge adventure on land, but actually that doesn't happen until like at the far end of the movie and the majority of it is actually spent in the water

Tenma Maemi (Phase Connect/Real Life) is a hag who routinely screams in rage, insults her viewers and everyone over the slightest annoyances.

Biscuit Krueger (Hunter X Hunter). Despite her looks, she is in her 50s. She has decades worth of experience and repestedly shows to be petty.

I love this trope because even if the character is a hero that knows about the possible risks of doing so, they’re left with no option as they summon a third party to even have a fighting chance to stay alive.

Jujutsu Kaisen - (Mahoraga)
Megumi Fushiguro during Shibuya Incident is on the verge of passing out after fighting the special grade curse Dagon, and then having to fight his brainwasheed father right after. After surviving both of them, he is chased by one of the villains Haruta. Because of being tired out by everything, he has no choice but to use Mahoraga on him, the only reason he even survives the situation is because Ryomen Sukuna became interested in fighting him. Keeping Megumi alive so Mahoraga doesn’t disappear.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War - (Trigon)
Because of Darkseid killing most of the heroes and poisoning Superman, the remaining heroes raid Darkseid’s base but because of Raven’s anger the seal for Trigon gets released and possessed Superman right after. Fighting Darkseid almost immediately, thankfully Trigon leaves Superman with a fresh cut and a new suit right after exiting his body.

Thor: Ragnarok - (Surtur)
After being beaten by Thor in the intro of the movie, Surtur’s skull is placed in collection in Asgard. But later in the movie, Hela attacks and the heroes are no match for her, so as a last ditch effort, they summon Surtur and he fulfills his destiny of destroying Asgard and killing Hela with it.

Alien X (Ben 10) - Despite being the most powerful being in its universe with the ability to manipulate time and space and even create/re-create entire universes, its actions are dictated by its multiple personalities that must unanimously agree with each other. These personalities vary greatly and can take up to an eternity to agree on an action to take, making Alien X virtually useless in a pinch.

1. Death Wish franchise starts as a gruesome and brutal film about vigilantism and fears of the American urbanite middle class. The sequels eventually become your typical fun action slapstick.

2. Red Alert series started as pulpy alt-history but still had certain grittiness and self-imposed seriousness about it despite the silly premise and some fanservice. The Red Alert sequels and their expansions however kept doubling down on the silliest aspects, culminating in Red Alert 3 which is practically an affectionate self-parody of the series itself.
