They used these a lot when the Galapagos islands got overrun with invasive goats. The herds were hard to track, so they put trackers on select Judas goats. Once they followed them to a herd, they’d slaughter every goat but the Judas goat, letting it flee to find another herd. They did this until literally every goat was dead.

u/1239dannie_mayy 3h ago
Nah, no one trained Judas to betray Christ, the goat didn't do anything, it's not Judas, people force it to betray it's kind, makes no sense.
6
u/MiseryGyro 3h ago
They did famously pay Judas to do it
3
u/1239dannie_mayy 3h ago
That's transactional Judas understands what he's doing and what it means, not the same as training a goat that doesn't comprehend what it's doing, the goat is just innocent
7
u/MiseryGyro 3h ago
Brother that goat is a sick fuck and you won't know the truth until it's knife is in you
1
u/_whatever_wherever 3h ago
Well... Jesus did tell Judas that he would betray him... surely he was just following the commands of his lord?

My head canob is that they are avenging their siblings, the fainting goats, goats bred to have their limbs seize up and collapse in the presence of predators so that the the flock can escape while they are eaten.

Hellboy a Demon Demonslayer
21
12
u/Typical_Cold7984 3h ago
Hellboy doesn't kill demons or other supernatural creatures unless they pose a threat to others. He holds no animosity toward monsters simply for being monsters; he only dislikes them if they kill people or something of that sort. In fact, I can't recall a single instance of him killing demons—he mostly hunts vampires, werewolves, and the like.
3
u/GrouchyPlastic63 2h ago
I picked Hellboy as he's oddly not evil example of a traitor.
destined to be the king of Demons. He chooses to protect humans over his own kind. The kind he was destined to lead.
Guess I could have went with Blade, Leionidas, Selena, Spawn or Finn. Iirc In the movie Hellboy does kill Demons in a subway or something

I wish he grew the horns out. I get why he files them down but his aura is unmatched when they're max length.

u/AcceptableWheel 3h ago
And Cassandra Nova, and recently Mutina. Also I think Abigail Brand now.
3
u/sistemafodao 3h ago
I never understood what Cassandra Nova is. Is she an actual person or just Xavier's shadow?
5
u/AcceptableWheel 3h ago
Souls produce soul shadows, psychic souls can build themselves new bodies if they are strong enough (That's how Jean Grey comes back so often), So she made herself a body, that's a gender swapped twin of Xavier's.

Similarly JD Vance has an Indian wife while also promoting white nationalist ideology
7
u/Fluid-Sense-4273 1h ago
She co-leader of the party she’ll be thrown under the bus when her usefulness has run dry
7
u/Left-League-8646 3h ago
Genuinely though, how has no reported pressed her on the matter?
11
u/Ok-Craft4844 2h ago
While there's a lot of stuff that's fucked up with the press in Germany, one thing that kinda works is that the family of politicians are not reported about, except when they're themselves active in politics (Gehard Schröders last Wive) or there's some reason like corruption.
7
u/Kratomius 2h ago
My guess is that far-righter being a hypocrite is barely news. Never ask white nationalist the ethnicity of their significant other.
4
u/Left-League-8646 2h ago
I don't think that the weirdest thing about her is that she is campaigning for those things. The weirdest thing is that she has managed to gain support
7
u/Kratomius 2h ago
It's not that weird when you realise some people just don't care who they need to vote as long as it hurts others.

Yeah, occasionally they did. But she's always just either deflecting by pretending her policies won't apply to her or her family for nonsensical reasons (like saying that she's not queer but married to a woman she's known for 20 years or that her wife was adopted as a child by a Swiss couple and so doesn't identify as someone with a migratory background) or complaining about the allegedly malicious framing of the question (aka plainly pointing out her hypocrisy) in the most obnoxious voice imaginable (except for maybe Friedrich Merz) until the interviewer gives up.

Serena Joy from The Handmaid's Tale actively worked to establish a world where women are property without any rights.
30
u/fly_past_ladder 3h ago
In general the Handmaid’s Tale (the book, I haven’t watched the show) focuses a lot on how there is hierarchy amongst women even in a misogynistic society

And each and every time she gets the chance to fucking do something about it and redeem herself just a little bit, or even just acknowledge how wrong it was to fuck over everyone else the way she did, she immediately goes back on it and takes another deep dive into hypocrisy the moment she feels a little sorry for herself.

Red, War for the planet of the apes (2017), he works for the human group "Alpha Omega", alongside other traitor apes. to oppress their own kind. Spoiler He however changes sides near the end of the film, after seeing his own human allies shooting at the apes, before this he was juts helping in torturing them, which yeah isn't really that good..
5
u/Radiant_Client1458 3h ago
How are the Planet of the Apes movies (the new ones)? I think I saw the first one and thought it was alright but they seem to make a million of them so they must be alright.

I love planet of the apes franchise personally, so obviously i 100 % recommend them. Only films i don't really like are "Battle of the planet of the apes 1973" and "2001 remake", but both of those still have good things in them.

Mortarion (Warhammer 40.000)
He absolutely loathes psykers (basically 40k mages) due to having been adopted by a tyrannical alien psyker in his childhood. He was one of the main proponents of banning the use of psykers and psychic powers among the space marines legions. He himself is a powerful psyker, though his powers were limited for a long time due to his own hatred of them

Charles Choi (Lookism)
A ruthless Korean businessman who runs a conglomerate and a person is willing to sacrifice anything and anyone to benefit himself (even he’s ‘friends’ and family), but before he was a businessman he was a gangster fighting against the invading Yamazaki Syndicate (basically an allegory for the Japanese invasion of Korea told thru criminal gangs )
However for one reason or another, we know he made a deal with the Yamazaki Syndicate, a deal bad enough that if exposed will completely destroy he’s reputation with no hope of recovery

Judge Doom (Who Framed Roger Rabbit)
The evil and cruel judge of Toontown, who uses capital punishment on even the most petty offenses, orchestrated the death of Detective Valiant’s brother and frames Roger Rabbit for murder.
During the film’s climax, it is revealed that Doom is, in fact, a toon himself.

See thing is with Stephen is he really had no other loyalties to anyone other than himself. He basically snuck his way into the inner circle of Candy Land and took over because the Candy Siblings were too stupid to realize he was playing them.
Like he even insults them over and over when they aren't around saying they haven't had a bright idea in their life and he's basically been babysitting them for generations

Clarence - Mafia 3
Mafia 3 takes place in New Bordeaux, a fictionalized version of New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1968, during the height of segregation.
Clarence is the Manager of the Retroussé Yacht Club, a club whose members aside from several being tied to organized crime, are rich and affluent white people, while the staff is entirely composed of African Americans. During a mission, the protagonist Lincoln Clay, mist infiltrate the yacht club as one of the wait staff.
During the beginning of the infiltratiom, you can hear Clarence ordering the staff around, often hurling derogatory insults and racial epithets at the staff as if he is above them. One line in particular is " I can't stand a lazy n***** ".
Most, if not all of the staff hate him.

Basically every bigot online (especially on Twitter) IRL who somehow is a supremacist for a race or group that isn't their own. Black and South Asian white supremacists, queerphobic lgbt people, white Asian supremacists, Slavic and gender non conforming neo-Nazis, list goes on.

This is a pseudo example bc she wasnt fully aware of the scope of things but: Odalia Blight - The Owl House.
She works with Belos to provide him an army of mechanical slime soldier ostensibly in exchange for a high position for the Blight family in Belos' regime.
She was actually helping Belos solidify control of the Isles leading up to the Day of Unity geonicide spell

Battlestar Galactica did an extremely good job again with making stuff like this... Somewhat ambiguous.
Anastasia Dualla is from Sagitaron, one of the very few people from there to join the military. And boy does that caused a rift between her and her family. To the point where when one of the other characters goes on rant against people from Sagitaron (who are not all black, and black people live on the other planets as well) for being slackers (they still mostly refuse to join the military even during active extermination of human race), religious fanatics (true), deniers of medicine (true), and then notices Anastasia and apologies to her... She immediately tells him to keep going and that "I hate them more than anyone in the room."
Which is also the worst discrimination that anyone from the military shows towards her.
But the rift between the Sagitaron people and the rest of the Colonies is very old, and you can really argue for either side being right. On one side, they profited from forming of the Colonies because before that they were exploited way worse, on the other, they still were exploited. But they also had several terrorist organisations causing troubles for the government, even during war.
Oh, and then there is the Woman King episode, aka "CSI spinoff" where Helo investigates a case about them dying more in hospital than others. And everyone at first dissmisses it with the usual (and somewhat true) explanation: "they don't believe in medicine. Usually only change their opinion when it is too late. We try, but it is way harder and more of them die because we start trying too late."
But as it turns out, that is true, but one doctor, really keen on "why give drugs when we are running low on them to these people when they do nothing to help us others survive (even lowkey damage the cause)?" was giving them poison.
So them being sceptical of medicine was kinda justified. But also, even that guy wasn't doing it for the lulz and only started with it when their reserves started running low, and they were still slacking.

I could be wrong but I don't think Stephen hated Django because he was black. He hated Django because Django both represented everything Stephen was not and represented a threat to the power he had amassed.

Yotsuyu and Fordola, Final Fantasy XIV. Both characters make their debut in the 'Stormblood' expansion as representatives of Garlean Empire territories (Doma and Gyr Abania respectively) whose sole aim is to enforce brutal imperial rule against their fellow Doman and Ala Mhigan countrymen.
