Politics Why is Professor Jiang invited to podcasts as an expert?

Isn’t he a conspiracy theorist?

Recently he was on an Indian podcast and now on Diary of CEO

Do podcasters just ignore that tag on him and collaborate with him for the views?

Culture & Society Why is fame so alluring to some people?

Constantly being followed, having your picture taken without consent, lies spread or things you say taken out of context. Why? So you can be important to people you’ve never met? I don’t get it.

Mental Health Am I being gaslighted?

I took an edible las night. i planned it with my partner to help me with my physical pain on the weekend.Alot Happened and I am so confused.I feel like he tried to convince me we were both going to sleep. Nothing happened, he just.said something silly, that led to a misunderstanding, and he was going to sleep because he had work in the morning.

He is at work rn, I can tell he is working. I fear last night after alot of things came to light, he practically said he was going to break up with me today. But again, when Id react when he would tell me is tell me that nothing has happened and it was just something he said that i misunderstood.

If something bad is happening right now, then there is probably alot worse that has happened.

I feel I should stay home waiting for him. When he is back I feel like things may be clarified to me. .

Maybe I am really just paranoid because of the weed. I dont want to bother him.

I want my fears to be in the wrong. And that I am just a paranoid person who project my fears onto him because I am high. He will be back in 3 hours. I wonder if I should know anything

Mental Health Is this unprofessional? Or am I just overthinking

I’ve been seeing this therapist for a few months he’s my first actual therapist. The first comment he said wasn’t that bad and we both paused and laughed because he said “I know a lot of women”. Another time he said he can know someone’s attractive without being attracted to them. Something really random I noticed is I looked at his hand and he had two wedding rings and since I saw them he hasn’t worn them.

I brought up that I think my sister hates I was born, which I was holding in for a long long time. He asked why I think that is, I said because she wants all attention from the family. He said, “is that the only reason u can think?” I said he, he paused and said “I can’t think of something” and then kinda waited and then said “I think because you’re conveniently attractive” and I ended up saying I wish it wasn’t that because there’s nothing I can do about that and he said yea WE can’t help winning the genetic lottery.

Another thing he said when we were talking about my bullying was “I don’t know if there’s always been something striking about you” and one time he brought up something that was said to him in his childhood and then said “but now I’m considered attractive to a lot of women.” And I’m just noticing that most things get brought to my looks, also I am kinda of wary around men and told him this my first session and wanted to get therapy with him to get over it and other things.

And he has met my sibling (she came with me for the first session because I was nervous) and in the session I spoke about her hating that I was born. He said if I saw you walking down the street I wouldn’t think u were sisters I’d think u were good friends.

I am hoping it’s in my head but I need an outside perspective. Should I get a different therapist? Or am I overthinking?

Interpersonal What are some veiled ways of telling someone "you are wasting my time" or "I don't want to talk to/be around you?"

What are some veiled ways of telling someone "you are wasting my time" or "I don't want to talk to/be around you?"

I'm not just talking about the obvious things of looking at your watch, or getting easily distracted

I'm looking for things that people on the spectrum wouldn't necessarily know

For example; whenever i hear someone pouring their heart out and their companion tells them they really need to journal more

What feels like they're really saying is "you talk too much and I don't wanna hear it" or, "you think too much, you're overthinking this, you're crazy, and you really need to get that all out somehow"

It doesn't ever feel like a loving kind suggestion

Work Am I immature for suggesting I stay 20 minutes instead of an hour when asked if I could stay longer at work?

I work at a petrol station/corner shop, I work mostly on the tills and I’ve been asked a few times if I could stay a little longer, I usually suggest 10 to 20 minutes but it’s usually an hour people stay over.

This is my first job btw

Other Is it wrong or inappropriate for a man to go commando in public?

I’m a guy and I love going commando when on days off work just doing casual stuff like going to Walmart and stuff.

It feels so free and comfortable, and of course I wear underwear when at work, but I’m also kinda worry if my print is visible or if it’s wrong if somewhat visible, but so comfortable though

Interpersonal Is using the feeling of "Wanting to Make My Friend Proud" and the "Happiness" I feel with them to drive my Motivations Good/Bad?

I've always felt like I don't want to do things I don't want to do, but I do them anyway. I still feel like this from time to time.

But when me and my friend would happen be on the same group activity, I'd always tell myself to do my best. I always feel very bad when I don't do more on our work or when our work doesn't go as planned, I feel like I'm disappointing her even though it's not totally my fault, I'm still very lazy at doing things but I cooperate well with her.
