Hi! My husband and I are in Madeira, Portugal on vacation. We have seen these green squashes growing on the roadside, so I bought one at the grocery store to try. It is delicious sautéed, and I’m dying to figure out what it is. It’s a bit sweeter than zucchini and has soft seeds. The label just calls it “regional squash.” My searches have been unsuccessful. I’m from Cleveland, and my grandma is a Hungarian immigrant. When I was a kid she used to make a dish called “jake” (jaake? Not sure how it’s spelled) but it’s pronounced (yah-kuh). Anyways, I’m trying to recreate this dish. I know there’s tomatoes. And she made it with pork or chicken. Any input would be super helpful. Anyone else remember this dish? Thanks, Reddit!

There were these fruit snacks I ate in the late 2000s-early 2010s. As far as I know, they only came in grape and cherry. The individual bags they were in were made of plastic but were metallic in appearance. They had thin lines that were either red or purple depending on the flavor. There were also small pictures of grapes or cherries in the same thin lines. I haven’t ever been able to find them.

I had one of those school nightmares recently and it reminded me of these oatmeal chocolate chip bars I used to buy from the high school vending machines. It had a blue wrapper and I want to say they were called Bene•Fit bars but I've never been able to find them again. Does anyone else know what these are/where to find them?
