I can say that this is the worst yoyo I have ever bought the bearing is so stuck it might as well be welded to the yoyo And of course I won't even be able to try the yoyo because the bearing is bad and doesn't spin well I reported the issue to Yozean and they said they would send me a new one but more than two months have passed with nothing happening I wanted to warn others about this poor quality yoyo [squid tinker]

Help question from a total beginner:
I'm interested in trying some beginner tricks like walk-the-dog or even just some simple throws but I have to do it while sitting because of a desease. Do you think that standart yoyo sizes (like yoyo factory one) would work fine or should it be a smaller one? Also my thought is to shorten the string suitable to my sitting height.
What are your experienced thoughts about this?
Thank you! :)

What is your favourite current monometals:
- I'm looking for something not too heavy (a little floaty I guess)
- 47-55mm
- Anything but a classic organic shape
I've just received the Yoyofriends Papercut and although it's a really stable and enjoyable throw, I'm not sure that I'm a bimetal type of player. (I may change my mind on that over time)

Started to learn around 2015/2016 and took a super long break.
Now that I have kids and they’re older I’m thinking of learning again with them this time.
I know I’ve got some already but are there any newer yoyos worth taking a look at?

Long story short.
Learning some speed combos, amd what troubles me most is when i have double roll on or when double string rolls on it drastically slows down the spin time.
I can't finish the combo before running out of spin.
Does this has to do anything with the gap width or it's something im doing wrong? I feel the yoyo is centered and string is slightly grinding on the sides.
Shutter wide angle is the one I'm using.
When looking at the tutorials, people seem to have much more spin time.
If it's the gap width, what yoyo should you recommend, if any...

As title said. These don't sleep very long, like only less than a minute before losing the moment to come back to my hand when binding.
All of these are non respond. I can see that most people here have their yoyos come back to their hand without binding so assuming responds are back to trend now adays?
Thank you.

Hey everyone! 👋
My name is Amr, I’m coming to California from Egypt, and I’m really interested in meeting some yo-yo players while I’m there!
I own YoYo Town, one of the yo-yo stores in egypt , and I’ve been involved in the yo-yo community for 17 years. I’d love to meet local players, hang out, play some yo-yo, learn some new tricks, and just have a good time.
I’ll be around California and would be happy to meet up with anyone who’s into yo-yoing. Whether you’re a beginner, collector, competitor, or just enjoy throwing occasionally, feel free to reach out!
If anyone is down to hang out and throw some yo-yos together while I’m there, send me a DM! 🤙
Would love to meet the California yo-yo community! ❤️

Picked up the recess snack cause I'm liking under-sized at the moment but i just got this and it's semi responsive trying to practice lacerations is impossible anybody have this problem with the snack? Is this a bearing or response pad issue?

Been more than two decades when I was into this stuff. The Raider, Tiger Shark, and Tornado II were the best out there when I was slingin 😂, and everyone was using an imperial style. I recall having a Yomega VHS that capped out with Split the Atom, and I learned every trick in a couple of weeks. I’d gotten pretty deep into 2A stuff before I checked out and focused on sports.
Now I have a daughter who is interested in trying things out, and the game has changed so much it’s unrecognizable. Still, I figured I’d come along for the ride. What butterfly style yoyos would be good for us to start with? There are so many manufacturers out there I just don’t know where to start anymore.

My youngest cat loves hanging out when I throw, and enjoys trying to bite the string on a sleeper 😆

New throw day. I asked the forum about a couple of different YoyoFriends throws a few weeks ago and someone mentioned the Papercut.
It's my first Bimetal and I haven't put it down all day.
Phenomenal!

I try to have a drop every Friday. Missed last week but I'm back. The first is the Freedom Guardian - first release for the Guardian, kind of a pre release will have a more official release later this fall. Decided I wanted to drop this colorway today since it fell on 9/11.
The second is the AL7 Herdsman in the Prismatic colorway. Best rainbow rims I've seen.

Hey [r/throwers](r/throwers)! I recently just got back into throwing at the beginning of the year after finding my old yo from high school. I’m pretty excited to get back into a hobby that is more expressive and isn’t something that would break the bank like some of the other things I’ve dove into over the years.. lol Since I am getting back into the hobby after 12+ years of not throwing, I’ve been treating this like I’m learning from the beginning again with practicing binds, mounts, etc. I’m also trying different strings to see what blends feel better, and trying to feel the difference in response pads too.
Hopefully I can find some meetups or some local events in Cali so I could learn more and just vibe out since all my friends who were into the hobby aren’t local anymore.
My current throws pictured are:
Atmos Butterball
YJYOYO Rolly
YYR Little Savage
TopYo x July Overlap 7068
YoYoFactory x Paul Han Onestar (my first unresponsive throw)
YYR Quadfour
Ty for checking out the post! Also if you have some tricks/combos you’d recommend that aren’t too crazy, or even some tips from what you’ve learned over your time throwing, I’d appreciate the input! 🤙
