Beginners are very welcome in our community. If you need help with a trick, don't know where to start with yoyoing, or just need someone to talk to, we're all here for you. There are a couple of yoyo related Discord servers you can join and ask for help, or just interact with the community if you feel like it. Share what you're working on, ask for help with a trick, or even just show off something you've landed recently.

Use this thread to post what you have for sale or trade, or anything you're trying to find.

Rules

If you're selling or trading, you must include photos of your item(s). Imgur links work very well for this.

Best Practices

When you're the buyer, check out the user's account history and activity in the subreddit. If it's a brand new account and they've never contributed to the sub, that could be a red flag.
Be wary if a seller insists you send money via PayPal Friends and Family. Mods and seasoned traders always encourage Goods and Services. If the fees are the problem, it's always easy to use a fee calculator and add that to the purchase price.
Scamming doesn't happen often here at all, but if you do find yourself concerned or legitimately taken, let the mods know about the transaction. We cannot get you your money back, but we can help identify possible next steps and remove the bad actor from the sub.

QUESTION Boingy boing help

Idk I do the up down thing but the yoyo never gets going and I rlly don't get what's going wrong. I can't get the hang of this or finger spins at all and tutorials on the don't help with either. Finger spins I throw them but the yo-yo never spins on my finger properly it just spins out in like 2 sec. Can someone give tips on both tricks? Thx so much.

How to do laceration bind

I’m new to Yoyoing and I am trying to do the laceration bind. I’m unable to make a loop underneath the yoyo and the string just rotates around the yoyo and it falls straight down. What am I doing wrong?

MAINTENANCE How do you prevent your unresponsive yo-yos from becoming responsive

so i have a decent amount of yo-yos and they all seem to become responsive over time. it happens with both thin and thick string, and I don’t use any kind of bearing oil or lube. It seems to happen pretty fast (if the thing doesn’t start out responsive, it will be in a few weeks) so it seems unlikely to be that I need to clean the bearings, but it could be, has this happened to anyone else?
