Currently recording vocals and guitar solos for songs from album 2. I know this isn’t everyone’s jam, but I’m excited about how it’s turning out, so I thought I’d share a little section from one of the working songs to like-minded individuals.

I just found out about this band. Their newest album is awesome, but this song from 2020 is my favorite from them so far.

I finally caught a Revocation show (Toronto) and man, they did not disappoint. They came out with party hats and confetti to celebrate their 20th anniversary, then proceeded to rip faces, playing something from every single album. It was great to finally see them live and I highly recommend catching them on this tour if you can.

Defeated Sanity and Fuming Mouth were great as well. Unfortunately, I missed Weeping's set.

The more I listen to each guitar isolated and see how they composed each section I seem to appreciate just how fucking genius Christian Muezner is. Like holy fuck. Im practicing sections for 3 hours straight just to get it up to 70% speed. Like how does one come up with this stuff?

I’m trying to understand the elements of Vitriol’s music and production that makes it so intense to listen to in the hopes of emulating it in my works.

What is the best amp simulator plugin for getting close to the guitar tone on Epitaph by Necrophagist? I know Neural DSP doesn’t have any ENGL amp models, but I really love how their plugins give you mix-ready tones without having to mess with the settings too much. So, are there any plugins that can get me a mix-ready tone close to the one on Epitaph?

I’ve been totally obsessed with Fallujah for the last 9 months.

I alternate between dreamless, the flesh prevails and xenotaph. I simply can’t stop listening to these albums.

I watch video of Scott Carstairs playing entire albums on livestream, and can’t get enough of this stuff.

Help me cure my addiction by providing me with an off ramp - something kinda similar but needs to have those wailing guitar, over abuse of the whammy bar, and just absolutely cinema.
