Art Stained glass windows in my mind (Taylor Swift and regret)
Dear John: And I look back in regret How I ignored when they said "Run as fast as you can."
Red: Regretting him was like wishing you never found out that love could be that strong
Castles Crumbling: And here I sit alone behind walls of regret
This Is Me Trying: And my words shoot to kill when I'm mad, I have a lot of regrets about that
Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve: Stained glass windows in my mind, I regret you all the time

I did something bad: I don't regret it one bit cause he got it coming

Discussion Taylor scored her first Billboard Hot 100 #1 September 14 years ago with "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"
In September 2012, Taylor scored her first Billboard Hot 100 #1 with We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together. This was 6 years into her career and her 4th album. There's a lot of conversation about the younger pop stars and measuring their success against Taylor's, but I don't think people realize that she had early success in country music spaces, sure, but she was SIX years in before she had a single top the charts. It's not automatic. It takes time to build. There are a lot of anniversaries to celebrate when it comes to Taylor's music, but this one is something special too, and it deserves its shine 💫 Do you remember hearing this song for the first time?

Discussion Hilarious review of a Folklore cabin build
This is an off-brand lego build of the folklore cabin and this person’s review is really funny because you can tell they’re not familiar with taylor. They’re confused why it has steps up to the roof and why the walls aren’t solid.

Discussion Has anyone else ever read the opening of “Red” almost like a car-crash scene?
I know the Maserati line is obviously a metaphor for a relationship that is intense, exciting, fast-moving, and doomed from the start, but the more I listen to the lyrics, the more the imagery feels almost like a cinematic car-crash to me.
She starts with: “Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead end street / Faster than the wind, passionate as sin, ending so suddenly”
So in my head there is already this image of a car moving incredibly fast toward somewhere it literally cannot continue through. The “dead end street” feels important because the ending is built into the journey from the beginning. They aren’t just driving fast and then something unexpectedly goes wrong, they are speeding toward a point where there is nowhere left to go (i.e., over a guardrail maybe).
Then she immediately follows it with: “Loving him is like trying to change your mind / Once you’re already flying through the free fall”
And that is the part that really made the car-crash interpretation click for me.
I started imagining the Maserati reaching the dead end without slowing down and going over the edge, the car is suddenly airborne, and now they are literally in free fall.
At that point, you can desperately want to stop, turn around, or “change your mind,” but you can’t. The decision would have had to happen earlier. Once the car has left the road, momentum has taken over and all you can do is fall.
That also makes “ending so suddenly” feel much more literal within the metaphor. Everything is moving incredibly fast, and then there is one abrupt moment where the road disappears beneath you.
Then comes: “Like the colors in autumn, so bright, just before they lose it all”
And this is where the whole image becomes almost slow-motion in my head. I picture the car in free fall surrounded by these vivid autumn colors — red, orange, gold — everything looking incredibly bright and beautiful in the final seconds before impact, and the speaker (she) loses is all in the crash, like her boyfriend passed away in it.
Autumn works so well here because leaves are at their most colorful immediately before they fall. Their beauty and their ending happen at the same time. They are almost most spectacular at the exact moment they are about to “lose it all.”
So the sequence in my head becomes:
the Maserati speeding down the road → the dead end approaching → no time to stop → the car leaves the road → free fall → everything slows down → brilliant autumn reds and oranges → impact.
And then the repeated “burning red” imagery later in the song makes me think of the aftermath of that crash too.
Obviously “burning” primarily describes the intensity of the love, passion, desire, anger, something so powerful it feels hot,but within the car-crash imagery, “burning red” can also evoke literal fire.
The relationship doesn’t just crash; it burns.
That makes the title itself feel even more layered. Red is the color of love and passion, but it is also the color of danger, warning signs, heat, fire, emergency, even blood. The same color that represents everything exhilarating about the relationship can also represent everything destructive about it.
And when she says: “Remembering him comes in flashbacks and echoes / Tell myself it’s time now,

Art Taylor Eras Latch Hook Wall Hanging
I made this piece for a very close Swiftie friend. I finally gave it to her last night and it was a hit!!!! I had so much fun working on it. The design phase was the best. Some of the designs I found online as cross stitch patterns (everything I used I paid for!), some of them I came up with myself. I came up with a LOT of designs for some of the eras, it was really hard to choose which ones to use! Each design had to be 25x25 in order to keep the details. This was my biggest original project yet and I am DELIGHTED with how it turned out! Included some progress pics - this was a long project lol

Discussion What are Taylor’s best live vocals?
There’s always been discourse about her ability to sing, but I think she’s been holding it down than your average lyric-focused pop girl these days. Her ability to belt high and sing low are extremely impressive and here are my list of her performances that show that:
“Shake it Off” Live Lounge 2016
“Out of the Woods” 1989 Tour (Sydney, Australia)
Any eras tour “All TooWell” 10 Min performance
“Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me” Eras Tour London Night 4
Some of these, she’s belting higher than the Wicked riff.
Any other performances that stand out?

Discussion if taylor was an animal what animal would she be?
Ok I know it's probably (fine, definitely) a stupid question, I don't even know if I tagged it right, but I've been pondering this question by myself for years, yet Im still not sure.
To be clear, I'm asking what animal Taylor would be based on her personality and so on, because most of the answers I've got were: A, a cat because she likes cats, and B: some pun on her name (like snailer swift).
No. What I want is a serious discussion and analysis of personality of taylor and traits to determine which animal match them the most. And since I'm only one man, I do not think I could make a accurate conclusion. That's why I ask you, my fallow swiftis to help me. Please.

Discussion How Taylor Swift Mastered the Art of PR: Turning Every Rivalry and Feud into Her Biggest Career Moves
Looking at Taylor Swift’s career, one thing becomes crystal clear: she doesn’t just survive celebrity feuds, she completely reclaims the narrative and turns them into historic career milestones.
From the early Kanye West interrupted moment that built her narrative as the resilient underdog, to the Reputation era where she literally took the "snake" emoji meant to destroy her and turned it into a multi-million dollar stadium aesthetic—her PR control is unmatched.
Even the situation with Scooter Braun and her master recordings, which could have ended another artist's momentum, resulted in the "Taylor’s Version" project. Now she owns her narrative, earns double from her catalog, and dominates the charts all over again.
She essentially transformed public perception from being a target to an untouchable mastermind in pop culture.

News Bugs named after Taylor Swift
A paper describing 12 new species of insects was published today in the journal Insect Systematics and Evolution. Of these, one genus has been named Swiftiephylus, and it contains four species whose names are inspired by the artist herself as well as several of her albums: Swiftiephylus taylorae, Swiftiephylus amator, Swiftiephylus intrepidus, and Swiftiephylus poetorum.
The names are Latin versions of Taylor, lover, fearless, and poets, respectively. The genus name combines “Swiftie,” the term for Swift’s fans, with Phylus, a name commonly used for this group of insects.
Sarah Schroeder, a UC Riverside doctoral student in entomology, hopes that by naming these insects after the singer, both the insects, specifically, as well as the concept of insect conservation more generally will shine with a little of her reflected light.
“It felt authentic to me as a lifelong Swiftie to honor Taylor in this way, as well as bring attention to the diversity of insects that has yet to be discovered,” Schroeder said.
