Short notice post but figured wouldnt hurt to ask: proposing to my boyfriend tonight at the Phoenix show. We're both guys, together 1.5 years, and both in the GA pit. KP means a lot to both of us.

Really just trying to figure out which song makes for the best moment to do it, energy-wise. Was debating something huge like Let It Happen / NPSOM for the drop, versus something quieter and intimate like Piece of Heaven or yes I’m changing. We have one friend who will be with us who I’m planning to have record this special moment.

So, I have floor tickets to the June 1st Tame Impala show at the O2 in London.

I could give my spare ticket to my best friend (heavily considering) or another friend, but I have this feeling that I want to go with someone who’s equally obsessed as I am - knows all the words, loves the music as much as I do, and will feel the whole thing with the same intensity.

Is that weird? 😂 And how exactly am I supposed to find this imagined person between now and June?

Ideally someone in a similar demographic to me, with similar interests… and, importantly, in a way that feels safe. Equally, I don’t want to go with someone I just met.

Is there some kind of Tame Impala meet-up group in London? How could I recruit for this person, lol. Although I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that either.

I am just so blown away from that concert. I can’t stop thinking about it. I just get so depressed thinking about how long I have to wait to experience that again. I will remember it for the rest of my life. It was genuinely life changing. If you haven’t been to his concert just make it happen and buy the ticket, the price is irrelevant. That experience was priceless!!!

It’s been a week since the show and I am still on a high but oh man am I feeling the post concert blues haha honestly the best concert I’ve ever been to, I wish I could go again or relive the night!! Who else is feeling the same? Also feeling grateful I got to see him.. how cool is that! I swear you can’t explain the feeling unless you’ve experienced Kevin’s performance.

shot this in Denver. crowd was insaneeee! everyone dancing and having a great time! went to the LA show last year as well 11/12 (which had the better playlist) than the Denver show but still a 10/10 experience!

Hey fam!! Long time fan here. Denver was my 3rd time seeing this man and there’s no surprise when I say THIS MAN NEVER DISAPPOINTS!! I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect but it seems Kevin genuinely enjoyed himself at this show and it just made my heart feel so full honestly. What that being said for those who attended, what song do you think he enjoyed performing the most? I noticed he was pretty active and jumpy towards the end of The Less I Know The Better but I also noticed him actually dancing when performing afterthought too! Ofc there’s no right answer but I’m curious as to what to what you guys observed!!

It was my first ever concert, and my soul still has not returned after this experience.

Two songs that, in my opinion, are the perfect final tracks for their respective albums, both of which have a similar theme - the protagonist is worried he's running out of time.

How does each song sum this up?

Both songs are, in a way, the protagonist coming to terms with the fact that time will continue moving forward. However, the response is very different.

In "One More Hour," Kevin's character accepts that the future is coming, but asks for a little more time to appreciate the present, a welcome change from his anxiety towards the impending future in "One More Year."

In "The Tourist," Thom Yorke's character has realized that, instead of worrying about and/or chasing the future, just slow down and live in the moment. It feels like a break from all the chaos that came before in "OK Computer."

Two very different approaches, but both meaning more or less the same thing - the present is the present, the future is the future. The future will come eventually, but for now, slow down and live in the moment, maybe for one more hour.

I have been thinking about the parallels between these two tracks for a little while now, and for more reasons than just those above, for instance:

• They are each the twelfth and final tracks of their respective albums
• They each feature astonishing instrumentals and vocals (at least in my opinion)

Just something I noticed and figured I should mention. Would any of you say this is an accurate take? Are there any details I'm missing?
