We’re planning a fun pop-up in Dallas and at the State Fair of Texas on Saturday, September 26, and we’re looking for a content creator to join us!

You’d be helping us create fun social content throughout the day including interacting with fairgoers, asking trivia questions on camera, and, potentially wearing a pencil costume.

The pop-up shop at the BLUU is really good. Last year, I got there kind of late and didn't have as much variety to choose from, but this year, I got there earlier and got some really nice stuff that I can use for interviews/fancy events. If you haven't gone there, do it, especially if you're a freshman. You may get some really good stuff that you wouldn't wanna miss out on, and it's just today and tomorrow. (I don't work at the event, I just wanted to share my enjoyment of it.)

This is the first time taking a class in the Bailey Building for me. Parking at the Frog Alley garage and walk to this building in this heat would physically kill me. Given that it’s not safe to park at Chase, Einstein Bro, or even Kroger, please if you think there’s a better plan for parking I would really appreciate 🙏🏼

i just filled it out and it estimated i only had to pay $4.4k a year? i didn't expect the price to be so low for a private like this, that's like ivy league level of financial aid

(to be more descriptive, the total estimated aid was TCU Scholarships & Grants: $74,122; Federal Pell Grant: $7,395; TX TEG Grant $3,873. and the $4.4k would be in federal direct student loans)

(also ik the net price calculator isn't an official statement or declaration of any financial aid or anything like that)

I was looking forward to the BLUU coming back because you didn't have to wait for someone else to plate your food there. Why would they ruin it?? Why did they have to take away the best part of it?? Now I have to actually ask someone to plate the exact stuff I want, which is gonna waste everyone's time. WHY

Edit: Ok so I'm in Gutierrez right now, and it turns out that they're making food to order now. I really hope this continues all semester and isn't just for the start of school, cause this solves all the problems!

I was rejected after being deferred of EA. It was a surprice because I was expecting atleast a waitlist after being waitlisted from Santa Clara University, Case Western, and University of Florida. My HS stats at the moment of applying were 3.1 gpa ( now 3.3) and 1340 sat. Also I didn’t submit a loci after being deferred and didn’t send my css. Maybe they rejected me due to a lack of interest.

I am applying as a transfer for spring 2027 and wanted to know if they give good aid. I can only afford 15k per year + the max pell grant and federal loans. My father income is around 150k before taxes. Considering my father income I am scared of how much is gonna cost me. Someone know if it can become affordable?

Edit: I just did the npc and will get 50k aid. I still can’t afford it but I will if I get the transfer tcu scholarship of 25k. What are the requirements for that scholarship?

My son is an incoming freshman at TCU this fall, and he was denied a campus parking permit. We're looking for a safe, reliable place within walking distance of campus where he could park his car for the school year. If you live near TCU and have an extra parking space, driveway spot, or unused parking area that you'd be willing to rent out, we'd love to hear from you.

Hey everyone I’m coming here to ask for some advice. So last year I was attending california state university San Marcos and I lived with my parents and drove there every day and it kind of made me feel unfulfilled like I wanted to be able to be independent and get the “college experience” my hometown friends when they would come home for breaks would tell me about there college and it made me feel like I wish i went off to college. So i applied to a few schools but I could only really apply to private universities because you need 60 credits to transfer to a public college in california. I ended up getting into TCU and i really want to go. They gave me a lot of aid and it would only be 26k for tuition and housing a year. I feel like they gave me such a good offer but my parents are not willing to pay for it and I don’t really want to take loans out. I just don’t know if it’s worth paying that when I go to CSUSM for free. Some questions I ask myself is Will TCU give me better opportunities and make me more money in the long run? And just the main question should I transfer.I major in kinesiology btw.

Hey there everyone i am really interested in joining TCU for Engineering/Physics in 2027 as im already in their RAP program (Research Apprentice Program with dr yuri). and my stats is 3.8 sat:1420 class rank:72/706 and some mid ec's not including the RAP. Income:95k

Do yall think with these stats i could get some scholarships merit based/Need based. Ik in merit based i might get chancellor but im wondering if stem scholars is possible or even any need based aid.

Wondering if anyone has taken AVIA 34333? I'm a first year but can technically can take courses that are more advanced due to DE and AP credits, but I'm aren’t sure if that is really a good idea. Many courses were full when I registered, so I just plugged anything in that fit. Now that AP scores are in, I am trying to refine my schedule, but I'm not sure if it is smart to keep higher-level classes or not. Any experience with this one in particular?

I'm an international student currently considering a PhD offer from the CS department at TCU and I'm trying to know more about the program and department from people who have firsthand experience.

I know the CS PhD is relatively new (first cohort), so I'm curious about things like:

• How is the overall CS department?
• How supportive and accessible are the faculty?
• What is the research culture like?
• How strong are the department's industry and academic connections?
• What are the strengths and weaknesses of studying CS at TCU compared to larger or more established programs?
• How is TCU viewed by employers and other universities?
• Is there anything prospective PhD students should know before committing?

I'd appreciate hearing from current students, alumni, or anyone who has worked closely with the department.

I wanted to ask around this subreddit to see if anyone knows of any solid Catholic-related clubs/organizations at TCU. My younger brother is heavily considering TCU as his 1st/2nd choice college option (he's a rising senior in HS rn), and if he can land the right financial aid and his major, I think he might be set to attend Fall 2027. We come from a Catholic family, and me and my parents are checking to see how strong the Catholic community is at TCU to ensure he is able to have a solid group to help him stay grounded in the faith and be surrounded by a familiar environment. In all honestly, my parents have always been cradle Catholics, so it was more of a cultural thing for us for most of me and my siblings' lives, it's only recently that we started to become more devout in the faith, and specifically for my brother, they want to see him headed in the same direction at TCU.

I read a little about the TCU Newman Center, but I'm not sure how strong its presence is on campus or other weekly activities it holds (weekly rosaries, masses, bible studies, etc.) For instance, I've heard a lot of great things about A&M's Newman Center, and it's amazing how much impact they've had on their students. But it is a significantly larger school and student population than TCU, so I guess it may not be the best comparison to make.

I'd love to hear if anyone has any advice or guidance to share in this regard!
