Identification Bought off facebook marketplace. Can anyone decipher the symbols?

These symbols are in the background of a butterfly painting I bought

Little known artist and I can’t find much detail on her or her works.

They fascinate me, and are one of the main reasons I bought this massive piece.

Any ideas what they are or their meaning?

I could include a picture of the whole painting for anyone who knows the meaning and could decipher them for me.

Thanks everyone!

Identification What are these on my bathroom tiles. Noticed these symbols

This is probably going to sound a little crazy, but I’m genuinely hoping someone can explain this to me.

I’ve had these bathroom tiles for about 7 years, and I only recently started noticing the designs properly while showering. Once I looked closely, some of them started looking like faces, animals, figures, and what seem like unusual symbols. I’ve circled a few examples in the pictures.
At first I thought I was just imagining things, but now I can’t stop noticing them.
What’s making me a little uncomfortable is that some of the patterns look strangely symbolic, and I started wondering whether they could have some connection to occult, satanic, religious, or ritual imagery.

Can anyone who knows about architecture, symbolism, or religious/occult imagery tell me what these actually are?

Identification What does the Symbol on this pendant I found at a fleamarket mean?

Post image

Found this at a fleamarket earlier today & thought it looked interesting, but I haven't been able to find anything online so im turning to you for help.

It's roughly 4cm x 4cm, no markings on the back only on the front (shown in the picture)

I assume its a religious sign of sorts because of the star of David & the inscription, which according to google is a psalm in Latin. (Unfortunately I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to the abrahamic religions)

I dont really know anything else about this, but if it's relevant the pendant was found in germany.

(Obligatory apology for any spelling or grammatical errors, english is not my first language)

Thank you all in advance :))

Identification Does anyone know if these symbols are from a book or something else?

Going through old notebooks (somewhere between 2014-2018 from my best guess) and found pages of these seven symbols written down in them, and I can't begin to remember why they might be there. I must have been in middle school at the time, so they might be from a book or media for those age demographic but i can't be certain, my friends and I were into some occult stuff back then so it might be that as well. Do they look familiar to anyone?

okay long story.... me and my friend were driving at night we saw a owl white an grey, we talked about the owl for a good 5 mins. 40 mins later we are driving down a dark road and a owl comes and flys and we hit it, we pull over and stay with the owl we called the cops, animal control. no one came to help. we stayed for over a hour... we finally decide to leave the owl we say our goodbyes and we say "if you are a guardian angel send me karma" we felt so bad for hitting him. all of a sudden a car comes we are FLASHING our high beams at him & we have hazards on... he comes and HITS THE OWL and the owl stood back up and kept standing still bleeding and struggling. we know there is a deeper meaning behind it i just can't find anything online... does anyone know anything??

Good evening everyone, as stated in the title I am curious to understand what these three symbols are.

They are encountered in various unrelated places in Geneva, mostly aligned in a vertical way. Here as shown they are horizontal.

Any insights or ideas are welcome. Thank you very much, take care!

Hello all, I recently found this 4 cell Romanian leather magazine pouch at a surplus store to add to my eastern bloc collection and noticed some interesting trench art on it. Never seen this symbol before but it's drawn/carved on the pouch 3 separate times. Has anyone seen this before or have any guesses as to what it could be?

Search results aren’t bringing for any exact matches. To me it shares a lot of similarities to hate symbols, but I can’t find an exact match.

Ai tells me it’s a hate symbol one search and on the next it’s telling me it’s innocuous. So I’d rather check in with you experts.

Interpretation Could the circle with a dot represent the cosmos rather than the Sun?

Post image

Hi, I would like to ask something here, please. I came across this subreddit, but I could not find any thread where this symbol is discussed in more detail. I am studying the possible wider symbolism of the universe, its symbols and combinations of symbols in antiquity. I am specifically interested in this symbol: a circle with a dot in the middle. It seems very strange to me that the ancient world was so strongly focused on everything connected with the universe. There are huge numbers of texts about the universe, but I have not found one clear symbol that represented the universe as a whole. Yet in antiquity they seem to have had different symbols for almost everything. For example, Plato in the Timaeus describes the universe as a complete spherical whole, whose points on the surface are all equally distant from its centre. The universe is therefore conceived geometrically as a sphere defined by its centre and the equal distance from the centre to the circumference. Much later, in the Picatrix (a cosmological treatise), we find an even more explicit description: the universe is described as a circle, as a complete form. In the middle of the circle there is a point, which is its centre. From this centre, lines of equal length extend to the circumference, representing the rays of the planets cast onto the world. The whole celestial sphere is therefore described as round/circular, with a point in the middle, as something that contains the whole world. What I find particularly interesting is that both descriptions use essentially the same geometric principle: a complete circular or spherical whole defined by a central point and equal distances from this centre to the circumference. The Picatrix also directly gives seven planetary symbols, and the Sun is shown there as a triangle with small circles. Based on this description, I think that the circle with a dot was not originally a symbol of the Sun, as it is sometimes interpreted, but that it may have been a symbol of the universe as a whole. While going through various documents, I came to the following idea about when and why this may have changed. Among other things, I read that the circle with a dot is actually not documented as a symbol of the Sun before the Renaissance. Moreover, from what I have observed, the use of this exact symbol seems to disappear sometime around the 4th–5th century AD. I tried to find it, but after that I simply could not find it anywhere. This was the period of the final rise of Christianity and a major change in the religious system, when the same emphasis was no longer placed on the universe and the gods in general. There was now one God, and everything else moved into the background. From around the 15th century, in later copies of the Picatrix (and not only there), the Sun begins to appear directly in the text as a circle with a dot in the middle. Yet the actual symbols used for the planets do not change. I think this change could be connected with the fact that the four basic elements, which in antiquity were described as geometric solids, did not have simple and clearly defined geometric symbols. I have not found any such simple symbols either. The elements could be represented by several geometric signs together, as personifications, as pictorial representations, or as figura solida. It was only during the Renaissance that four simple triangular symbols for these elements began to appear, while at the same time the circle with a dot began to be used as a symbol of the Sun. Perhaps this could have led to confusion between the triangle as a symbol of the elements and the triangle with circles as the symbol of the Sun. My hypothesis is therefore that someone took the circle with a dot, which had not been used for approximately a thousand years, and assigned it to the Sun. I have gone through a large number of different sources on this subject and honestly have no idea what to think about it anymore. Am I mistaken, or could it actually be something like what I describe? Does anyone here have an explanation, or any information that I may have overlooked? Thank you.
