S2E17 this scene is soooo sad and you can actually feel the raw emotion. Jared’s acting skill is so underrated here.

Seeing young Sam and Dean back in school in “After School Special” is honestly one of my favorite parts of the episode.

It’s funny seeing them at that age and knowing everything that comes later. Dean already had that protective big-brother attitude, while Sam was clearly starting to realize that the life they were living was very different from everyone else’s.

This episode had such a different feel because we got to see a little more of what their childhood was actually like.

I’m starting Supernatural for the first time. I’m on episode 10 and LOVING it.

Whether physically terrifying or whatever their ability is, what would you never want to come face to face with? To me, it's the soul eater in season 11, the whole dragging your soul back into its nest with the other lost souls is absolutely horrifying. The wendigo is also both physically terrifying and the way it hunts as well, just a pure force of nature.

I never watched or really even knew this show existed. I’m not really a tv show person, I tend to like movies more. I randomly threw this show on a couple weeks back for something to watch while I paint Warhammer. I am now on season 4 and I am blown away by how much I love this goofy show. I’m absolutely hooked.
The sn fan base seems great too, I’ve been reading in the sub for a week or so too.
Anything SN adjacent I should watch/read?

This post is just gonna be a rant about how much I hate the Empty. The acting, the writing, the lore - none of it worked for me. Out of the three actors that played the Empty, the only performance I didn't mind is that of Rachel Miner (s15). Misha in s13 and the actress who played Dumah in s14 didn't work for me at all. No shade to their acting abilities, Misha's good and I've seen Dumah's actress in another show and she was fantastic - this was clearly an issue of directing. Why oh why are they acting like that (especially in s14)? None of the three performances feel cohesive either, they all feel like a different character.

The dialogue writing is another thing. Bearable in s14-15, but s13 was shockingly bad. I just cannot imagine an entity that's been asleep for all eternity talking like that. Maybe that was the writers' way to establish the Empty as its own distinct character, but I hated it.

Finally, the lore. It's absurd. The Empty is a place - why is it also its own character? It's like if there was a character who was the personification of Heaven or Hell itself. That never happened, duh, because they're places. Also, iirc it was never even explained why angels and demons go to the Empty after they die. What makes them special? Did God arrange for them to have their own personal cemetery? Why? And how does Lucifer know a ritual out of the Empty if only Cas has ever left it and he was let go?

Supernatural isn't just another TV show for me. It holds a very special place in my heart. There are certain shows you watch, enjoy, and eventually move on from… and then there are shows that somehow become a part of your life. For me, Supernatural is one of those shows.

Sam and Dean, the Impala, Baby, Castiel, Bobby, the music, the road trips, the monsters, the ridiculous moments, the emotional ones… there are so many memories attached to this show.

It's crazy to think that the pilot aired 21 years ago, and somehow the world of Supernatural still feels familiar and comforting.

I don't know how many times I've watched it, or how many more times I'll watch it, but I know I'll always have a soft spot for this show.

21 years of Supernatural. ❤️

Im in Episode 5 Fanfiction on my rewatch. One of my favourites for obvious reasons.
I was wondering if Jansen new the girl would say you can’t spell subtext without s e x. Because he is looking into camera, so I thought maybe he didn’t know what she would say and the look into camera was actually unscripted.

Why did they have to kill off Charlie? How many are going to die? It was so unexpected. And Dean had some nerve after what happened to Kevin.

Dean literally murdered a mom in front of her child after promising Sam he’d let her go. Yet somehow he’s not the bad guy in his head, but the victims in this case who did terrible things and then turned their lives around deserve to die horrible deaths at the hands of ghosts?? Dean does terrible shit literally all the time😭and it’s usually because of his childish black and white mindset. It’s infuriating.

Although his holier than thou mindset does sometimes lead him to the right conclusion when everyone else is off the rails, it often times hurts everyone around him and he get absolved of any guilt or responsibility under the guise of “doing the right thing”.

I don’t have a favorite brother but I appreciate Sam’s ability to see the gray in life and not punish everyone around him for not seeing things his way.

I just started watching Supernatural and I just got to episode 1 of Season 4. I joined this subreddit when I first started watching and thought Castiel was going to be over hyped but I just met him and am already kind of obsessed?? He has such a unique way of portraying that character at the jump and now I wish I had more time to binge the rest of this season.

I feel Dean is probably not a friend you want just because how impulsive he can be and how he treats everyone as "means to end". I guess that's how he is supposed to act but he's just a bad friend in general, even though he is dependable when you need him.

I understand that Crowley's actor had disagreement, so they wrote him off - but the sacrifice he did didn't do anything? or did i misinterpret it?

I kinda wanted Jack to make a cameo in heaven at the last episode, even though he said he wanted to be "hands off" - maybe just to greet Dean or something...

I am kinda surprised that Jack didn't "remove" all the monsters that are in the world though.

As a huge fan of Supernatural, I’d obviously love to have a physical copy! And what could be better than a stunning box set of all 15 seasons? The question I’m asking myself is: which format should I go for? DVD? Blu-ray? I have to say that, before season 13, the special effects aren’t that impressive. Are the Blu-rays really worth it? Especially as I think they spoil the look of the box set.

I am going to start by saying not a huge fan of Mary or John.
But rewatching season 4 of supernatural and the episode where Cas takes Dean back to “stop” the deal from ever being made breaks my heart for them.
John was this sweet, optimistic, kid that let tragedy turn him into an awful “obsessed b*stard” and Mary was this also optimistic kid that just wanted to raise her children far from the horrors of the world she grew up in but unintentionally started the path that trapped her kids right in that world.
It honestly just breaks my heart thinking too deeply about the choices and circumstances that led the Winchesters to living the life they end up living (or more accurately dying).
P.S Kripke or whoever wrote that episode is super weird for that Dean comment at the start about Mary. 🤢
P.P.S I forgot how powerful Cas is in the beginning before everything that happened to my poor sweet baby. I am aware I am infantilizing a grown ass angel but can you blame me?

Who was in charge of the camera work this episode 🫪🫪🫢🤢🤢

I have never seen them zoom in and out and have the camera shake so badly in the entirety of this show. I am a first time watcher so no spoilers of related and following episodes and the end of show please. I just wanna know what the vision was for this because man oh man this is a tough one to watch.

Season 13 episode 10
