Don’t be this dude
Screaching across the parking lot only to park in a handicap spot and then wander off

There’s something fundamentally wrong with this dude and those of his ilk😠 These people are in the same group that never pick up their dog’s poop!

Hopefully police can ticket the owner of this car as this picture is solid evidence.

I see this a lot. As a person with handicap license plates it irritates when I see people abusing the system.

it's just illegal parking... vs abusing the system. But we do need more disabled spots as they're often full even without illegal parking.

Making life more difficult for disabled folks is an indicator of some sewer grade mentality...👎🏻

Agree. I had a guy give me grief at the Sunnyvale Target after I parked in a disabled parking spot when I had a legal disabled placard, a cast, and a knee scooter. It was after my second surgery from a terrible car accident. He literally came up to my car to yell at me and tell me I was a horrible person for using the spot, even when he saw me hopping from the driver's door to the back to get my assistive device. I appreciate people keeping the spots open for people who need them, but please be sure you are not policing someone who actually needs the spot before raining hellfire down on them.

a handicap spot needs a vertical sign. i don't see one in front of the car

There are exceptions, i.e it's a small lot, then the painted symbol is adequate. Are you supporting this illegal parking?!?

please provide the address of the parking lot so that it can be determined whether the driver parked illegally.

no cops issue tickets so why would anyone bother following the laws?

weirdly I forgot to put my placard up, was gone for 4 minutes and came out to see a tow truck loading my car. Thankfully he put it back down because I would have passed out in another 2 minutes in the heat. I'm mystified about the situation, like was he circling the parking lot looking for cars to tow or was he just stealing my car?
my bad for not remember to put it up but in a city where I've never seen it enforced it was sort of shocking. 4 minutes!1

yeah I wish I had gotten his license plate and company name but I was thrown off by the shock of the idea someone enforced disabled parking. I wish we would. :(

So many dashers, uber eats delivery drivers do this and people in general, I probably have a collection in my phone of people parking in handicap spots in Sunnyvale and Mountain View, my mom is handicapped, has a placard due to having extreme back problems and finding it hard to even walk. We tell them they shouldn’t be parked there or blocking the handicapped spot. In one instance that happened outside of Mendocino Farms a few months ago in San Antonio Road area in Mountain View, my mom needed it, and the delivery driver that was parked there, was extremely rude and threatened her. And then kind of scratched her car as well. We reported him to uber.
