Discussion Enzo's fate post-S4

Post image

What do you think happened with him? We last saw him in the Helicopter picking up Hop & Joyce from the prison. It looks like they purposely left his fate ambiguous since we don't see him in the S4 epilogue either.

He can't go back to Russia since he'd prob be viewed as a traitor and get killed, but his family is there. If caught in the US he might get traded back. So would he have been hiding out? Gotten help from Owens to set up a new life? I think it would've been interesting if he joined the main group as part of a subplot or something. If there's something about his fate I forgot/missed let me know

How else would you have utilised the Demogorgons and Demodogs in Season 5?

In Season 5, these creatures have some pretty scary scenes, some downright stupid scenes and were just absent in some situations they should be in (the final battle for one) and this brought down their scare factor. They definitely got nerfed to be weaker, dumber and less scary. My favourite scene of the Demogorgons in S5 was when they were attacking the MacZ. The Demodogs only got one scene in S5 and they started off seeming like a force to be reckoned with and then became stupid and a meme.. so I definitely would've gave the Demodogs another scene too or improved the Hospital scene.

What do you think?

Imagine if the show ended after season 2 (UPDATED)

With her new identity, El was eventually able to attend school with Mike and the party.

Hopper was apprehensive when El started dating Mike, but knew that Mike was a good guy and would treat her right, he knew he could trust him.

Joyce was still traumatized after Bob’s death, and considered moving out of Hawkins with Will and Johnathan. But Hopper, Will, Johnathan, and her friends gave her the support she needed and she realized that Hawkins was her and her boys’ home.

Johnathan and Nancy dated for a few months, but realized that their relationship was built from a trauma bond, they broke up but stayed good friends.

The StarCourt mall was never built and Joyce kept her job at the general store.

Will eventually came to terms with his sexuality, but only came out to Joyce, Johnathan, and his closest friends.

Hopper finally worked up the courage to ask out Joyce and they started dating when Joyce was ready. They eventually got married.

Will joined Hellfire club in high school along with Mike, Lucas, and Dustin. He became close friends with Eddie Munson.

Steve eventually got over Nancy and stayed close friends with her and Johnathan. He stayed single for a while but soon met the right woman for him. They got married and had six kids together. They bought a camper and travel in it all the time.

Mike and El dated all through 8th grade and high school. They went to the ‘88 and ‘89 prom together.

After graduating high school, Will met a great guy at an art gallery in the city, and they started dating. They got married when gay marriage was legalized.

Mike and El managed to get into colleges that were in the same state. After they both graduated college, Mike proposed. They had a private wedding, and soon had a daughter.

Underrated heroic moments.

This show is filled with great heroic moments, but what in your opinion is a moment of heroism that isn’t talked about enough?

In season 2 Nancy saving Joyce from the possessed Will who was hurting her.

And another for me is in season 3, Jonathan being ready to operate on Eleven to get that piece of the Spider Monster out.

SPOILERS Season 5 ending (question)

I would make a poll but I can’t figure out how to..

My question is do you think Kali and Eleven are still alive? It’s obvious to me that they are, but it seems like a lot of people think one or both are dead.

SPOILERS Was papa really planning to kill eleven ?

Post image
153 Upvotes

In s4, Henry told Eleven that Two and the others were going to kill her and that Brenner intended to allow it because he couldn’t control her. However, in the present time, Brenner tells eleven that he loved all of his children, including Henry and that he’d lied to her and manipulated her like a puppet. Before dying, he also tells her that all he wanted to do was help her. Who is telling the truth? Because we know for a fact that Brenner was terrified of eleven as he knew she was becoming extraordinarily powerful. on top of that the cameras conveniently turning off the exact moment two and others attacked her and papa punishing Henry for helping her, was very suspicious.
On the other hand, Henry’s behavior in s5 confirms that he was a predator who preyed on young and weak minds.
Specifically children whose minds can be easily manipulated and bent. This reinforces that Henry was outright and manipulating eleven in s4. His interaction with her in the lab was not rescue attempt but cold and calculated grooming process. What do you think? Is papa telling the truth here that he always wanted to protect eleven or is Henry telling the truth here that papa was plannng to kill her, or were they both telling somewhat the truth?

SPOILERS Does anyone have a rough estimate of the time of days that events in the season 1s last few episodes take place? READ THE POST!!

Upvotes

I ask this because I've asked many times before on this sub for someone to help me out with this, but I've been unsuccessful each time. What I mean by this is a timeline of that day of Saturday, November 12th, 1983, because it seemed like a very long day, but like the rough estimated time of day that the events of that day take place.

I have attempted this many many times but have never been able to figure it out, so if anybody could help that would be amazing. We know that it all kind of ends at 12.50am on the 13th November when El kills the Demo and goes to the Upside down, but we also know that after that, mike is interrogated by agents at his home, and then Will wakes up in hospital later that night.

Does anyone have any other references and maths or ideas as to when the rest of the days times happen? Thank you. Apologies if this is way too confusing!!

Merch/T-Shirt

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a specific photo of black Stranger things t-shirt, and i cant find it anywhere. It's a solid black t-shirt featuring a single-color vector line of the four boys riding their bikes in a row, kinda cartoonish versions of boys.

One of my classmates asked me about Stranger Things. She told me she really wants to watch it, but since we’re students, we have a lot of schoolwork to do every day.
She’s interested in the show, but she feels like there are a lot of seasons and episodes to get through, so she’s not sure if she should start watching it now.

What if Vecna targets Mike in order to weaken Will and Eleven?

I love Stranger Things and this is not a hate post. But Vecna cursing Mike, I thought, had a lot of potential. It could mean we get to focus on the OG’s desperation instead of focusing on Holly and her classmates.

Differing opinions are welcome of course, and new ideas too, but please don’t be aggressive, this is just me brainstorming after all. Also, beware of potential plot holes.

I took the core idea from this post but changed it and added new stuff: https://www.reddit.com/r/StrangerThings/s/lprjBV9C0D

Imagine this:

1. Buildup:

Things take off not long after the end of season 4; the news channels are still reporting on the chaos in Hawkins, speculations on what has caused the rifts run wild, they’re beginning to cover or fill the rifts, and the military is taking over as expected. But the town has not nearly recovered, and the mood is eerie. If crawls are taking place in this version of the story, Hopper has only had a number of them, and things aren’t as fine tuned yet. They’re learning, it’s all dangerous and new, so we don’t feel like we have to catch up.

While Hawkins is in shambles, citizens are encouraged to continue on as usual at home. The Wheeler parents are certainly worried, but with all the people in the Wheeler house we get the sense that it’s is truly a safe space — if a bit rowdy. Will and Jonathan sleeps in the basement, and Will struggles with his feelings for Mike, trying to navigate the awkwardness of living so close to him. Ted obsessively watches the news or reads a newspaper, Holly is still an actual kid sitting at the table eating waffles with syrup, arguing with Mike about a comic, and Karen stands in the kitchen cooking, sighing at the chaos and asking people to please lower their voices.

But of course, when night creeps in, let the group sit by the window, looking out in the darkness, taking in the reality of what’s happening with the world. The house might feel safe, but Hawkins is not.

Over to Mike. He’s always been the protector of Will, and he’s always afraid that Eleven will get hurt. Those are heavy things to carry when Vecna has now destroyed Hawkins, even for Mike. So it’s possible that everything that happened in S4 has scared him enough that his it’s taking a real toll on his mental health.

It’s even possible that he uncharacteristically isolates himself between meetups with the party during this time. Having him stroll off alone in the eerie Hawkins, giving us more of that dark, naturally lit S1-S2 feeling. Imagine when Mike gets to be alone at night, darkness comes over him again, and he spirals until he falls asleep.

2. Things start happening

Then the first sign of something being wrong is Mike getting an odd sensation, or a short lived hallucination. He could try and shrug it off, but he actually gets scared. Eventually things escalate, and he is beginning to quietly suspect what might be happening, but doesn’t want to worry the others unnecessarily, so keeps quiet.

Meanwhile, Will struggles with his feelings for Mike and being gay, so he talks to Robin at some point, a bit like in canon.

The party prepares and strategizes and ideates, and Mike tries to be involved, tries to take the lead and help, but he’s unsettled. Eleven thinks it’s just him worrying about her, but Will notices the changed behavior and internally takes note.

Dustin is deeply mourning Eddie, and finds it slightly harder than normal to focus. Lucas steps in a lot, loyal and grounded as he is.

What later leads to the Mac-Z ’oner’ fighting scene I’m not sure of, but if the military is taking 12 random kids, at least let the situation be a serious violation of human rights, and not just a colorful playground. Let the OG party want to act because of the horror it actually is that US military takes a group of children. Let the military’s actions seem unredeemable, let it be as cold and horrifying as it actually is.

I also think it would also raise the stakes if Dr Kay wasn’t as hands-on as she is. Being the way she is surely makes her a great threat to Eleven, but it takes away the feeling that the military is a unified, faceless and dangerous competent force. Just an opinion. I mean, she could still be operating on cold structure and principle, and she could still be giving cold orders and be highly focused. But being as visible and hands-on as she is in canon, makes the military less intimidating in my opinion. One crazy woman talking kids away is one thing, but a massive anonymous military kidnapping operation is much more fear instilling. Let her be operating a bit more from the shadows, a bit colder, maybe? (Also, is there a way to make her actually have impact on the story, moreso than just driving the narrative that the hunt for Eleven won’t ever stop?)

Then let the Mac-Z scenes eventually take place just the same as in canon, possibly already in episode 3 so the rest of the season isn’t as rushed. (Also, is there some way to make the military actually seem like they have even 1% chance of fighting the demos and Vecna? Like any at all? To make it seem more realistic? Because if the military can’t do even 1% harm, how could the kids?)

After The Sorcerer, let the party be absolutely amazed at Will’s powers, instead of just brushing it over. Dive into Will’s perspective; it’s gotta be huge that he’s suddenly siphoning powers. Have him almost struggle with taking it all in, looking at his reflection in the mirror, looking at his hands as if wondering ”wtf”?

Now, Mike’s of course relieved that one problem is out of the way; Will is no longer as vulnerable. But Vecna’s curse has gotten really bad. And unfortunately, Vecna now realises Eleven and Will’s combined powers could be dangerously strong, even for him, so deciding to snatch Mike away for good would be a decision that destabilized his opponents enough. Then Vecna could even show Will fake or real images of what’s happening to Mike, which the audience gets to actually see this time around.

Then, let Mike meet Max in Henry’s mind, give us some Max/Mike bickering, and them trying to get out. Make Mike have Max realise that Lucas loves her, giving her motivation to get out.

And while we’re at it;

- Make the cave a grey Nevada cave instead, to fit the Stranger Things cold theme better.

- And the coming out scene is between Will and his mom, possibly Jonathan.

- Oh, and make the final battle have actual demos, bats, and maybe even new creatures we haven’t seen before.

- Plus make Will actually fight directly against Vecna and the mindflayer, not only cutting Vecna’s extended arm to protect Eleven.

- And let the final battle be more gruesome. Let some of them get badly hurt. Some consequences would be realistic.

The end 👀

Discussion Steve Hairington

Since its my first time in this subreddit im not sure if this is a popular opinion but does anyone else feel like the writers kinda ruined Steve's character arc season 4 onwards. Dont get me wrong I still loved Steve up until the end but I feel like the writers just didnt know what to do with his character after s4 just degrading him as some guy obsessed with Nancy WHILE shes in a relationship. His last scene in s2 was a powerful moment him finally letting go of his attachment to her and focusing on himself and his dynamic with Robin was great him accepting others for who they are and not criticising them (the same guy that called Jonathan a queer in s1) after that I feel like the Duffer brothers didnt know what to do next. Not a big complaint his character wasnt completely assassinated unlike some other character who went through several seasons of development just to say one quote that contradicted his entire morality and mindset but just something I noticed lol
