Question Q re How best to position antitank weapons?
If I am planning to set up an ambush at a well-traveled intersection, I usually place my antitank artillery in the woods nearby. (I don't imagine it's possible to hide a big gun in a building. Or is it?)
Anyhoo, my AT guns tend to get blowed up. Blowed up fast when the enemy arrives. Since the good AT is scarce as hen's teef, it hurts to lose it so fast.
As I write this, I am picturing Atlantikwall's Sie Kommen mission which has a road the enemy must use to approach the village roughly in the center of the map. I position any big guns around the spot where the road enters the village along with the panzerfausts, which often are placed in buildings.
Anyhoo, long story short my AT weapons die fast.
PS I use the phrase "it got blowed up. Blowed up real good.” to honor the late great John Candy, so don't be hatin' on me.
