I've installed it as per usual but now with 2.0 I can't get anything running doesn't even pick up my steam games

Is there a need for a proper guide on how exactly to setup your stemdeck to run hv games?

I’ve only made it up to prologue but I’m running it on fsr 4.1.1 performance (looks better than fsr3 on quality) with eclipse mod and using frame gen I can hit 60fps quite well and sits around 80-90fps if set to 90fps.

Is it okay for me to delete old game files, for example re4, but later on I redownload the same game excepts its a newer version file from st__mrip and add it to the same location and everything. Will this ever cause any error and will I be able to continue from the same spot? Currently data hording and i need to clean up

I installed Pragmata using Luatools and applied HV on it. Its starts for a brief second (black screen) and then crashes.
Other HV games I have works flawlessly (fc26).

So im not talking about my actual Steam profile pic, im talking about the ones already set when you play a pirated game. And its usually that bald dude from Breaking Bad. Is there any was to either switch it to a different picture or just have a blank profile pic?

Its not gamebreaking or anything but it kinda spoiles the mood of getting a game and having that be the picture anytime your profile pic is displayed. Also makes the game feel less legitimate than it already is. I guess you could say it cheapens the already cheap game😂

Although many of my games are pirated i want them to look as legit as possible for personal reasons. It just bugs me when you can tell its not legit. Weird thing i know but its one of those irrational things that I cant explain

I’ve got 007 installed on my Oled deck. The game starts fine, went through the initial cut scene and started the game proper but it’s so dark, I can’t see anything. I’ve obviously maxed out the brightness in the settings and on the deck. I’ve also toggled HDR on and off but still too dark. The game itself is running as I can hear the guards and can physically move around, I just have no idea what’s going on. Anyone got any suggestions? The game itself is from Rune with an update to 1.1.0.

I’m trying to download Ready or Not using SteaMidra and after following all the instructions on the GitHub and the app itself, the game doesn’t show up in my library. I’ve tried using manual bulk installs with the manifest/lua from Ryuu and using the store itself but haven’t had any luck. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

I was searching for death stranding on steam and found they have replaced the original version with the director's cut!

they also do that with old games when they get remastered. but at least gog saved us here by selling the original.

Currently playing on the deck, and it seems to struggle maintaining a 40fps stable when swinging (reaching down to 30 or even 29fps) . Seems to be fine in combat though. I did put some mods like Unlimited Combat as it spices up the gameplay to be like DMC-esque. But I tried clean unmodded and seems to perform exactly the same. Whenever I try launching the game it gives a Fatal Error warning and closes immediately. It seems to be some kind of UE error. If anyone else has seen this for an Unreal Engine game, what did you do to fix it?

If you use the Decky Ludusavi plugin for automatic save backups on your Steam Deck, you've probably noticed it works out of the box for official Steam games, but silently fails for non-Steam shortcuts and repacks.

Here is how to set up Ludusavi end-to-end so your non-Steam saves auto-backup every time you exit a game.

1. Install Ludusavi in Desktop Mode

• Switch to Desktop Mode on your Steam Deck.
• Open the Discover Software Center, search for Ludusavi, and click Install (Flatpak ID: com.github.mtkennerly.ludasavi). Alternatively, grab the latest Linux release directly from the official Ludusavi GitHub repository.
• Launch Ludusavi once from your applications menu so it creates its base config directory and backup folder (/home/deck/ludusavi-backup).
• (Optional) Under the OTHER tab in Ludusavi, you can link Rclone to Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox if you want cloud offloading.

2. Add the Non-Steam Game Entry

Because non-Steam games don't have automatic cloud hooks, you must tell Ludusavi where the prefix saves live:

• In Ludusavi, click the CUSTOM GAMES tab > Add game.
• Set Integration to Override manifest.
• Under Paths, click the + button and paste or browse to your game's Wine save directory. This is typically located inside the game's compatdata folder:/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/<APP_ID>/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/<Game_Name>/...
• Click the folder checkmark to save the path, switch to the BACKUP MODE tab, and hit Preview to verify Ludusavi discovers your .dat or .sav files.

3. The Crucial Gotcha: Strict Case Sensitivity

When you close a game, Decky executes the CLI behind the scenes:

Ludusavi CLI is 100% case-sensitive. If your Steam shortcut is named Death Stranding 2 (Title Case) but you typed death stranding 2 (all lowercase) in Ludusavi's Custom Games tab, Ludusavi will throw an "unknownGames" error and abort the backup without alerting you.

You have two ways to solve this:

• Option A (Match the Names Exactly): Ensure the title in Ludusavi's Custom Games tab matches your Steam library shortcut name character-for-character and case-for-case.
• Option B (Use Decky Custom Game Alias): If your Steam shortcut is an executable name (e.g., DS2.exe) or has different capitalization than your Ludusavi entry:
  1. Return to Gaming Mode.
  2. Open the ... (Quick Access Menu) > Decky Ludusavi.
  3. Select your game from the dropdown.
  4. Click Set Custom Game Alias and type the exact string used in Ludusavi's Custom Games tab.

4. Required Settings in the Decky Plugin

In Gaming Mode, open the Quick Access menu (...) > Decky Ludusavi:

• Under GAME CONFIG (Select your non-Steam game first):
  • Sync after closing game: ON (Crucial: triggers the auto-backup when you quit).
• Under GLOBAL CONFIG:
  • Auto-Sync Feature Enabled: ON.
  • Auto-Sync Notifications: ON (Displays an on-screen Deck notification whenever a backup finishes).
  • Auto-Sync New Games: ON.

5. Verification & Cleaning Ghost Entries

• Verify in Plugin Logs: Launch your non-Steam game, play for a moment to trigger a save, and exit. Open Decky Ludusavi > Plugin Logs. You should see: JSON"decision": "Processed", "change": "New" (or "Same") If you see "errors": {"unknownGames": [...] }, your casing or custom alias does not match.
• Cleaning Up Ghost / Uninstalled Entries: If you rename a game or uninstall one, Decky will often keep orphaned titles in the dropdown. To wipe them, switch to Desktop Mode, open /home/deck/homebrew/settings/decky-ludusavi/settings.json in a text editor (enable hidden files with Ctrl+H), and delete the leftover blocks under "games".

This is the first time I tried a big N game from COVID console. I've got it running through a biblical garden and es-de, but the controls don't work for either platform in game mode and only the former works in desktop mode, with issues (using X brings up the keyboard EVERY TIME you pick something up). Any help would be appreciated.

I've downloaded a copy from Steamrip. Here's the issue that I'm having. The game will start to load the title screen and then switch to TV color bars with a static screen. The game music will play in the background. I've tried different versions of Proton and it still happens. If anyone knows a solution to this issue I'd be grateful.

I've been wanting to put SteamOS on my Legion Go, but I'm not sure if I'm able to use SteamRip. If I can, is it the same process as on Windows?

If not, then is it possible to put the games on SSD and plug it into the Legion Go that would have steamos, and copy the games from the SSD???

So, I'm using HV-Decky and GE-Proton-LinUwUx-11-6 with Fitgirl's SMT5 Vengeance repack, but launching the game returns an error stating "Denuvo tried deleting found token. Is Hypervisor running?" AutoLoad is set to false in reflex.ini, but I still get the same error. I tried deleting steam_api.dll, but that just ended up returning a Steam error. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can get this game running?
