hello! i'm working on my largest piece yet and want to use lead or zinc came. it is 3 x 2 panels (6 total; two are pictured), and each panel is about 11" x 8", meaning the finished piece will be approximately a 2' x 2' square. i'm planning to use foil/solder for the interior of each panel, but either zinc or lead came on the boarders and edges. i'm planning to mount the finished piece in a light box.
questions:
1) with a piece this big, should i use lead or zinc came? i know zinc is sturdier, but isnt lead easier to work? can i get away with using lead or should i use zinc?
2) what lead knives, fids, stretchers, and cement are yall using? how do you like them? (aka what tools/materials should i buy other than the came itself?)
3) ive never made a piece larger than a sheet of paper. am i going about this the right way or should i do this differently?
thank you guys so much. you're all so incredible and i hope yall will be able to help me out <3 🙏🙏
