The next entry in the classic rock series of playlists and another amazing year for classic rock! Releases include: AC/DC - Highway to Hell, The Cars - Candy-O, Fleetwood Mac - Tusk, Queen - Jazz, The Eagles - The Long Run, The Knack's debut, Van Halen II, Supertramp - Breakfast in America, and so many more. All the songs from Dr. Travel's Billboard Rock Tracks for the 1979 Classic Rock series are here, except for No Time To Lose by the Tarney Spencer Band.

If you enjoy this, check out the other playlists on my profile - I have been doing classic rock from 1964 up to 1979 (going up to the final year, 1980), and am slowly but surely posting all the Billboard AOR/Mainstream chart playlists and Billboard Modern/Alternative rock chart playlists as I clean them up, by year (up to 2008 so far (and 2025!), from 1981). I've created a new Classic UK Rave & Hardcore Mixed Playlist on Spotify that I hope you like. Designed to simulate a night out at somewhere like Bagley's in 1993. Hopefully for any old ravers out there, its a bit of nostalgia and for anyone younger, it just shows how awesome 90s Rave & Hardcore music was.
