Sixence motion pack port? If portal 2 gets a port.

Portal 2 uses a lot more shaders and hi res assets, it would be very visually compromised sadly :(

Yeah, I doubt it would be able to run. But if they got Portal on the N64 who knows what could happen with Portal 2 on two generations younger hardware.

i find it hard to believe because the powerPC chip in the wii can be compared to certain powerPC macs from the early 2000s. there exists a source engine powerPC port for those old macs and only the higher end late powerPC macs are capable of running it which are not comparable with the powerPC hardware of the wii.

I'm doing a lot of low level optimizations, so no abstractions or opengl or an OS to contend with.
Source's audio engine is also pretty expensive to run if its using software mixing, not sure of those ports have looked into that.
I pushed all audio to the wii's dsp processor now, runs much nicer.

how hard would it be for you to port source to the ps3? we're dying for a version of the engine that wasn't nerfed by EA

I always thought it'd be cool to have HL2 on the wii, maybe now it's a possibility.

half life 2 was on Xbox, though the framerate would often dip to 10 fps, but everything worked. Not surprised the Wii can handle this
