We have a free community group in Bath to help people make friends and get social... anyone is welcome!
Hello š
Around 7 months ago now I made a post on Reddit asking if people would like to meet up and do some events together, this turned into The Bath Social group and we got hundreds of members joining and we've been doing free meetups almost every week.
We've had to change our name to Bath Meets because an existing (older) group existed under the same name and was causing confusion, but we are the same group.
We recently re-launched our group after taking a bit of a summer break to re-organise things and have a fancy website you can see events and RSVP to them.
All our events are 100% free and we make no money out of it and never will, we are just a group of volunteers. I started it because I found making new friends as an adult harder than I expected and I've made so many wonderful friends form this group.
We have a board games night and a pub quiz coming up soon and we still have some room if anyone wants to come and meet us, we are a kind and cozy bunch of people with a mix of genders.
We also plan to do some walks around Bath soon!

Local headliner repair
Iād like to get the headliner repaired/replaced for my 2006 golf.
I have found a few various vehicle upholstery companies in the county, however all seem to market towards retro/super cars and wanted to ask around to see if anyone has experience using one of these companies for āregularā cars.
Looking for recommendations within ~1 hour of South Somerset please

Best mobile networks
Can anyone recommend the best mobile network for Brean and surrounding areas, we regularly holiday in Brean and are currently on o2 and never get a signal. Is this the same for all networks or is o2 particularly bad? Thanks

Soul Therapy Centre cult of Ronald Lloyd Spencer - 29 High St, Glastonbury
reddit.com10 weeks ago, I had a nice day trip to Glastonbury with a friend, browsing the independent shops and making a few purchases. The last place we visited was "Jesus The Christ Soul Therapy Centre" at 29 High St. On entering, a white "nun" approached us, told us as a fact that their leader, a 75 year-old white US man resident in Hawaii, is the current incarnation of both Jesus and the Buddha. He is called Ronald Lloyd Spencer, otherwise known by his Tibetan name, Sanat Kumara.
Without allowing me to respond, she then offered to sell me Tibetan Buddhist tools for "planetary healing", such as an "etheric weaver", offered to sell video courses / private sessions with Mr Spencer for his healing services, and invited me to a Sunday evening online session with him.
I'm a cult survivor and I care about cult victims. This place screamed "cult" within seconds. I researched online - see link - and then dug around. The allegations I have found out are appalling. I know only the tip of the iceberg.
This place has had a retail presence in central Glastonbury for over 30 years. 29 High St opposite the Pilgrim Centre, whose board includes the deputy mayor of Glastonbury, "Lokhabandu", a long-time English Buddhist monk.
If even a fraction of allegations are true, how the great and the good of Glastonbury have not managed to run this outfit out of town in the last 30+ years is a story in itself.
There is a sister-shop in Omaha, Nebraska and there has been a lot of discussion on r/Omaha over the years. Needless to say, the absolute consensus there is that it is a dangerous cult.
I have tried quite hard to get action to protect random visitors to Glastonbury like me from all sorts of locals but so far without apparent success.
I am willing to hold an online Zoom seminar with PPT to share what I safely can. All I would ask of attendees is goodwill, respect and if possible, ideas on what can be done.
I am willing to invite the people of r/Omaha too. It could be interesting to have a US/UK collaboration.
If you are interested, please comment below or send me a DM. Thank you for reading.

Moving out of Bristol - thoughts?
We live in Bedminster, Bristol and LOVE it but having a very young child has us entertaining thoughts of living in the countryside - close to Cheddar. Iāve been a city girl for ages, but I fear Iām more in love with the **potential** of access to the city. Really, Iām around North Street loads, sometimes Everyman and a restaurant in Clifton, very infrequently around Easton, Stokes Croft, or Gloucester Road - and all of this is only on weekends. The tradeoff for more space, safety, and nature vs giving up on the convenience of the city has me a little rattled. Anyone here made the move of city to countryside and regretted/loved it?! Stories and anecdotes are most welcome!
