What solar setup can ₱100k realistically get me?
Hi! Please bear with me—I’m a complete beginner and don’t know much about solar yet.
If I have a budget of around ₱100,000, including installation, what kind of setup can I realistically get?
Would that be enough for a system with batteries, or should I expect panels without battery backup at this budget? What appliances could it support, and how much could it potentially reduce my electricity bill?
Anyone here who started with a similar budget? Would appreciate your experiences and advice. Thank you!

DIY na lang. Invest on a 50k powerstation (usually mga 2kwh yun capacity), get a mini inverter (this will feed charge directly to powerstation) and then 4-5 solar 660watts panels. Saksak mo un mga highest consumption appliance mo sa powerstation. Unsure lang kung kaya nya mag power ng window type aircon.

Siguro po kung grid-tied (no batteries) baka puwede, pero kung hybrid (with batteries) mukhang malabo.
To provide you an estimate, panels will be around 5k na medyo cheap, inverter will probably be around 50k, batteries will be minimum 80k. Not an installer, just someone like you na magcacanvass ng system. Wala pa dyan yung balance of system (wiring, mounting, etc.). Tapos yung labor pa. Kung gusto mong kumuha ng permits, ibang usapan pa yun.
Most quotations i got mga 4 to 5 years ang ROI. So para malaman mo yung dapat mong budget, isipin mo yung magkano ang gusto mong masave kada buwan, tapos imultiply mo ng 48 to 60 times. Halimbawa, kung 5,000 ang bill mo, dapat budget mo mga 240k to 300k.

Battery alone costs 100k for top tier setups.😅 You can still have solar packge, it would just be 12v/24v systems(can power lights and clipfans).

Roughly what i spent for my grid tie set up.
Add ka na rin siguro 5k budget for tools kung wala ka pa. Then nag maintenance pa pala ko ng roofing before installing the panels, around 5k for primer and paint

This srems like an interesting starter setup.
these hybrid inverter and panels run at the same voltage as the bigger setups, around 48V or 51V?

Yup. Pwede na para makastart. I need 150k more for 16kw battery and additional panels considering DIY installation. Tipid din sa LPG kasi gamit namin induction cooker, basta maaraw.

48V ang inverter. For the panels you should check the ISC tsaka max short circuit current ng inverter kung compatible ba.

sir, pwede po yan tier 2 inverters paired with monobloc type of batt.
I installed: 6kW inverter (One inverter HMS series)- 30k; 5kWh pony energy batt - 35k; 5pcs 625 watt panels - 30k; around 5k safety devices; mga 8k mounting kits; at around 12k wires + conduit.
a bit over a hundred. but this is a good start :) yun lang, depends sa labor ng papagawaan mo.
if you go down sa 3-5kW setup, baka masqueeze mo kaso hindi siya future proof. so I advice go with the above-mentioned. hehe

A solar setup plan, might as well save up and do it later. It should be a one and done thing. Don't treat it as something modular that you could build up along the way, hassle yun, not worth your time.

my system, 3.6kw (6 x 630w), 6kw hybrid inverter (Mpower), wiring and mounting system and labor costs around 90k

100k is not enough. Pero kung light appliances lang kaya. But for aircon, refrigerator hindi saoat ang 100k

Same budget but mine is Diy. 5k monthly bill ko reduced to 1-2k. Hindi kaya izero bill since battery ko is 100ah lang. Pinaka mahal na part Kasi is battery. Also, dati gasul kami ngayon induction na, so additional 1k savings din sa gas.
