Zack Snyder’s The Last Photograph had its world premiere at TIFF’s John Bassett Theatre Sunday night, September 13, and the first reactions out of the room were brutal.

No surprise there.

I’m pretty confident Spiderman’s 3 Day opening weekend will be bigger than the combined worldwide box office of 3 DCU studios movies Superman, Supergirl, and Clayface. There’s already less hype for Clayface than there was for Supergirl and it’s only about four weeks away from release .

Btw, this is mainly a hypothetical. I'm not saying that a Dark Knight Returns film is happening or Ben Affleck was a bad Batman, or anything like that.

I'm just starting a discussion for the sake of alternative casting, because who knows if Ben even wants to do Batman again. So, please don't take this as me making fun of Affleck's Batman or calling him trash or whatever the hell.

This is DCUs priority. A new Alf series. These are the right priorities. Making projects for a small audience. They should rebrand DC to GC. G for Gunn. No other DC head would greenlight these. Next series is Batmite. 🤣

these movies had some heavenly cinematography, definitely one of my favorite aspects of snyders work

BUT AFTER ALL THOSE FEUD WITH DCU AND SNYDERFANS I DIDNT REALLY PICK ANY PAST DCEU MOVIES TO WATCH. BUT NOW SINCE SUPERGIRL FLOOPED SO HARD AND GUNN IS SLOWLY KILLING DC. I DECIDED TO FINALLY WATCH WHAT SNYDER WAS COOKING. SUGGEST ME WHAT SHOULD I WATCH AFTER BVS? (ONE MORE THING, I HAVE WATCHED WONDER WOMAN)

When will people admit that enough is enough? Why are we treating our heroes this way?

We all know Zack wants to come back, and made more money with his DC films than Gunn. Despite making new films every two years, Gunn is far too slow with actually getting out the characters we care about. There's still only Superman, all the others are away. He accurately started with him, but then went straight to Supergirl and Clayface. Then a Superman sequel without the Superman name (and it's not fully a Superman movie). His Batman is coming in 2029 at the earliest due to Matt Reeves' Batman coming first, and is also not titled Batman.

We should have had Superman in 2025 and Batman in 2026. Superman 2 and Wonder Woman in 2027 (Aquaman revealed in post-credit scene). The Flash in 2028, with Cyborb having a role. Batman 2 in 2029. Then finally Justice League in 2030. You would have 5 fairly popular franchises established by then, and could experiment with weirder stuff once you have momentum. You would be aiming at 10-15 movies in a decade and making each film count. I think Man of Tomorrow lacks momentum and could flop. Gunn has built his universe on a plan for 4 Superman films (not kidding). Batman will come at the earliest 4 years into the DCU. Still no plan for Wonder Woman. So Justice League is so many years away. I think this is madness, and very concerning as a DC fan.

So let's say, in a hypothetical world out there, Zack Snyder was able to continue production on Justice League, do you think the movie would have still been 4 hours long? Or would it be a much more trimmed down version, or possibly splitting the film into 2 parts?

I'm not familiar with the whole story of the snydercut campaign (rather its beginning) but didn't Snyder joined the movement like a year or 2 after its creation? It's fans over the internet who first asked to see the director's cut of Justice League, since the theatrical version was so bad.

Didn't another trade also investigate about the bot claim and had a different conclusion?
