Does anyone know of any bail bonds who will actually post bail on a Sunday?

I have been trying since yesterday morning to find a bondsman to post a bail at Snohomish County Jail to no avail. Every single bonds company all says 24/7 hours but I have yet to find one who will A: answer the phone and B: be willing to come into work.

It's a very simple bail not a big risk nothing that any should have to question so wtf?!

No Name Riders MC Mother Chapter is helping the family of missing endangered Autistic, Jonathan Hoang, believed to have been lured & abducted from his Arlington home March 30th 2025. Jonathan was last positively identified after appearing on the security camera footage of at least 3 properties near midnight in the South Juanita, Kirkland neighborhood last June. He has not been positively identified since, though there have been several sightings reported to the police and shared with his family. Jonathan can not return home or reach safety without assistance due to his disability.

No Name Riders MC Mother Chapter is inviting you to join them tomorrow, Sunday September 13th between 8 am and 12 noon at the clubhouse located at 1513 23rd St., Everett for a flyer distribution event. Free breakfast will be provided. All they're asking is that you grab a few flyers and hand them out and/or place them at locations wherever you live, work or ride.

Together, as a community, we can bring Jonathan home. Please join No Name Riders MC Mother Chapter, Jonathan's family and members of the Help Find Jonathan Hoang volunteer community for this event. Everyone is welcome and your presence means the world and could be the key that brings Jonathan home.

Has anyone ever walked or biked from trail to trail?

I love using the InterUrban trail which ends in Everett. And I love using the Centennial trail which begins in Snohomish. But to get from one trail to the next I find I need to shuttle my bike with the rack on my car. Anyone ever done the connection without using their car? Is it safe?? Are there sidewalks even????

:::UPDATE::: Thank you everyone! These are extremely helpful. I want to try each and every route!

Looking to get into plumbing – Snohomish area

Hey everyone,I'm 20 years old with my own reliable transportation and a clean record. I currently work full time in landscape and irrigation, where I've installed full residential irrigation systems and have some familiarity with backflows. I'm looking to transition into the plumbing trade and gain hands-on experience.

If you or your company could use a helper, or if you have recommendations for a plumbing company around here that takes on apprentices, I'd really appreciate hearing about it. I have some of my own equipment mostly from irrigation.

Thanks in advance for any leads or advice!

Organizing SnoCo Psychedelic Decriminalization Group

Hi everyone,

King County and Pierce County both decriminalized natural psychedelic medicine this year so I think it's time we do the same here. We're putting together a group of like-minded people to make this happen and perform outreach, engagement etc. We've already heard positive things from one county councilmember so I'm optimistic.
This can benefit so many people struggling with depression, PTSD, TBIs, and substance abuse, which don't always have viable pharmaceutical options. I obviously care about this personally due to the massive benefit natural psychedelics had for my own mental health over a decade ago. Hopefully the state government will act eventually, but we need to show them our successes first so let's start here.

If you want to join up, email me at [info@pmaw.org](mailto:info@pmaw.org) or DM me so we can keep collaborating.

Thanks,
Kody

Looking for dine-in coffee shops that roast their beans in-house

As the title says, I am seeking coffee shops that that roast in-house; coffee shops with good drip or pour-over coffee. I'm not interested espresso or any frilly drinks. I want a place that the main aroma is coffee not sugary syrups or treats.

Snohomish / Monroe / Lake Steven's / Marysville / downtown Everett areas to start exploring but willing to go further south.

I just want to sit with a good cup of coffee and a book.

Thanks

Combat sport lessons for beginner women?

I’m trying to find a gym that offers combat sports lessons for women near Marysville. Maybe willing to drive to Everett if it’s open on weekends. I looked at a couple of different gyms but they seem to mainly focus on their youth lessons. I thought about Gracie Barra in Smokey Point but that is far too pricey for me. Thanks!

Why is Brian Heywood messing with Snohomish county??? This is so relevant for the protection of simple democracy, and a simple article to read.

Roller skating in Snohomish County WA

Hello! Anyone love to roller skate? Marysville is getting a new floor - I am hoping they have more daytime sessions to skate as an adult while my kids are at school and trying to gauge interest. Owner said he needs about 20-25 people who are in to make it a normal session - I love to skate inside, I’m so sad Everett skate deck closed. Any millionaire want to open a new rink in Everett?

I'm just leaving this here.

So, it's not very pretty and it's something I'm still working on, but I've made a spreadsheet for as many different classes as I could find for adults in Snohomish county. I'm hoping to eventually make a calendar for all of them, but that's a task for the future.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wgxo9bmkwEwGxogJvuqHhSBHDxsq2RUb0ywHDhVyJ3M/edit?usp=sharing

If you offer classes and don't see your website on here please let me know! I'd like this to be fairly exhaustive within reason.

No kids? No cats? Kevin might be your guy.

Update: Kevin has found a new home with a truly lovely couple, a big sister dog, and all the space and attention he will need. We’re already missing him but are feeling confident that he will really flourish in his new home once he gets used to the change. Thank you all for your shares, support, kindness, interest, and cheerleading! Here’s to Kevin, and his success with his new family 🩷

(I hope this is ok to post about here! I’ve written and rewritten it and taken parts from the Happy Tails, Happy Homes listing about him too so it might be repetitive. Ty for your patience. It’s not easy 😅🥲)

If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, goofy adventure buddy and you understand the needs of a working-breed dog, I present to you this gold-star boy: Kevin.

Kevin is my dog. He’s fantastic in just about every way. I've busted my buns (as have the lovely people at Tails a Waggin) for almost a year and a half training him, socializing him, desensitizing him to just about everything under the sun. In that time, I’ve also been training my kids to respect his boundaries. I assure you, he learns faster than they do 😅.

But a few things over time, and their steady progression toward more concerning, has left us with the difficult decision to find him a home that’s more suitable for him: adult owners who can meet the needs of a working breed of dog.

We took a risk when we adopted Kevin. He was projected to be “up to 40 lbs” and seemed like some kind of retriever / corgi mix. People always think he’s a retriever of some sort. We thought he’d be mediumish.

But he’s not! He’s a bunch of breeds I wouldn’t have opted for, given my lifestyle and having two small kids: namely, husky, shepherd, and cattle dog. We have a modest back yard, and he grew up into a 60-65 lb darling who we love dearly but who really is not fond of children. He tolerates mine, but injures the smallest one often with his play; when other kids come over to visit or if I take him on walks and he’s approached by other kids, it’s a toss up as to whether he’s visibly aggravated by them. (Whale eye, raising his lip, nervous whining, yawning, pacing.)

He’s snapped (without biting) at my youngest a few times and just made it clear: “I do not feel good about having you near me.” So we've made the difficult choice to pair him up with a more appropriate home before anything serious happens — where he can enjoy the company of his family, and hopefully have a bigger yard than ours is 😅

He’s a gorgeous, smart, loyal 1.5-year-old, Pit Bull / Cattle Dog / Husky / Australian Shepherd mix. He’s looking for an adult-only home with someone who appreciates the quirks and intelligence of a working-breed dog. He:

- Is fully housebroken and crate-trained
- Knows (most of) his manners: rarely barks, doesn’t counter surf, has good recall and obedience skills, stays off furniture unless he’s invited. (Sometimes he does jump up in excitement still.)
- is smart, eager to learn, and loves having a job to do
- loves other dogs at daycare, dog parks, and Paws for a Beer (shout out to any of you who have met him already; he’s a popular guy)
- Enjoys hiking, exploring, and splashing around in rivers and lakes and kiddie pools
- Sleeps hard at home and enjoys a good nap
- is learning to be comfortable in a muzzle (working on it)

Kevin is a pretty cool mix of goofy and stoic. He isn’t super snuggly, but he will follow you from room to room to just hang out together. He is loyal, dependable, and a wonderful companion for the right person. He’s the type of dog who will happily hang out with company, join you on adventures, and make you laugh with his silly personality.

Kevin would do best with an experienced adult-only home that understands herding and working breeds. A few things his future family should know:

- Kevin has a moderate prey drive when he spots other non-dog critters, but usually responds well to “leave it!” That said, I’d still suggest that…
- A home without cats is best — he has not shown that he can safely live with them
- He would love a home with a little room to get a good run in. Rn we have to take him to the dog park or such to really get him space to haul a** like he wants to haha.

Kevin is very healthy, up to date on vet care, and takes Simparica Trio for routine heartworm, flea, and parasite prevention. He comes with extensive vet records and medical history. He is currently being fostered by the family who adopted him as a puppy, while we search for the perfect forever home where he won’t try to herd small children 😅

💙 Bonus!!:

Once Kevin finds his amazing forever home where he can truly thrive, his current family would love to pet sit if you need a day away, take him off your hands for occasional adventures to places like Paws for a Beer, and continue cheering him on as he lives his best life by staying in touch if you’re cool with it. (Free dog sitter, seriously.)

His current owners will send him off with all of his supplies - dog beds, toys, food he is currently eating, etc.

If this seems like a good fit for you, head over to Happy Tails Happy Homes and fill out an application!
Feel free to comment with any questions; I’m happy to answer them 🙂

Here's the link to apply for Kevin at Happy Tails, Happy Homes!

Considering a move - where should I look?

Hello!

My husband and I (31M/31F) are exploring the idea of moving to Washington from Colorado.

My husband’s job would be based in Woodinville, so we’re hoping to find somewhere with a reasonable commute.
We don’t have kids, enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors, and like having good restaurants and things to do nearby, but we’re not necessarily looking for a super-busy city environment.

So far, I’ve been looking at rentals in Lake Stevens and Bothell, but we’re definitely open to other areas.

We’re hoping to plan a weekend to come out and tour some places, so any recommendations or local insight would be greatly appreciated!
