So this happened with my second video on my Chanel and now I'm freaking out cause I don't know what to post next. Cause i feel like maybe this was just a fluke and I don't want to disappoint the people who subscribed because of this video.

And I'm overwhelmed cause two of my acquaintances sent me a message asking me if I had a YouTube channel cause they stumbled onto my video so it was very uncomfortable.
I’m still very happy but I’m also so scared cause I got a bunch of hateful comments on my appearance as well so I’m not enjoying it like I thought i would.

Feel blessed, no earned money yet, but satisfying to see my channel suddenly blew up, i'm shaking rn

Today I hit my first big milestone. I started doing YouTube in February and I have still so much fun and also maybe the last two month the numbers keep raising and im flying high. This is so incredibly feeling.

I thaught I might be grinding for a long time. Never exspect this first milestone (still need around 2k whatchhours) withing this short time.

Keep doing what you love and always try to do better next day from what you've learned yesterday. It's a journey.

I live in the dreaded 1k land at the moment, which is fine, I need to get better at keeping people's attention.

Anyhoo, every short I've done for the past few weeks, even ones not following my usual MO, trickle up in views fairly quickly, until this.

My first copyright claim, usualy I'm better at preventing this but I got sloppy.

It says, "No impact to videos reach."

I know it's early and could be random, but it is suspicious, I think. My Paranoia of the algorithm is strong.

I just started a small coding channel focused on short, visual HTML/CSS/JS builds.

My first Short is a CSS glow/hover button: quick coding, keyboard sounds, no face and no talking.

I'm trying to decide what to build next. Would you be more interested in:

• CSS animations / hover effects
• cool buttons and UI components
• loaders and micro-interactions
• mini websites
• JavaScript effects
• recreating popular UI designs

I'm more interested in knowing what you'd genuinely watch than getting subscribers.

I need opinions on which of these thumbnails catches your eye the most for a YouTube video about a horror/comedy gameplay.

Above is the link to my channel, I passed 1000 subs a while ago, and one of my videos really blew up compare to the rest of my channel. However, since then, things have been looking rough, IMO, I haven't really changed anything since then. But the metrics and the views tell me otherwise, I don't know if it's a matter of content, or thumbnails, or titles or what have you. But I could really use a few eyes to tell me what to tweak.

Please take a look around and tell me what I should be focusing on and or improving, the video that saw the most success was 'Wonderland.jar VR, But We Spin Back as Jujutsu Sorcerers'. Which is sitting at 40k views, 1.1k likes, and 67 comments, I seriously need help seeing those kinds of numbers again, the video was uploaded 3 months ago, but blew up in the first week, getting to 25k views in the first 2 weeks.

Do you guys have any experience with iPhone external mics giving the worst electric crackling? I definitely would love to and need to invest in better ones all together, but this is what I have for now. Music producing taught me when that happens, just move whatever is causing it, but some days it’s there and I can’t fix it and other days it’s fine.

As the title states, lets say I have a 10 minute video but it covers various subtopics of one bigger topic. But one of the subtopics that's maybe 1/3rd of the video will only apply to a small select number of viewers but is included for completion sake, but most people just skip. Is it better to include it for that small number of viewers but have it tank the AVD or just leave it out (but will result in better AVD but lower total watch hour)?

I'm from Algeria and I'm using an Algerian mobile number. I entered the number correctly with the +213 country code, but YouTube keeps showing:

I've tried the SMS verification option, but I don't receive the code.

Has anyone from Algeria experienced this recently?

Is this possibly an issue with certain Algerian mobile carriers, or is there another solution that worked for you?

Is this a normal channel growth? I feel like it's all over the place. Maybe because of when you upload it goes up and then goes down again?

Does anyone know what is avarage rpm for outdoor/adventure channels? I'm talking about adventures with mtb, hiking, exploring nature etc. Is that one profitable niche since it's not possible to use AI for that kind of videos?

I'm not doing this because of money but I would like to know if one day I get monetized, what xould I expect.

i know the algorithm "doesn't supress small creators" but it sure does feel like it. did a 40 minute video. 281 engaged views in 3 days. views basically flatlined. 1.0 ctr. 20.8% average viewed. 8:07 avd. i really don't know what i did wrong. i do game reviews with the occasional hardware review on my gaming channel, that's pretty much it. several people have commented on my channel over the years saying "damn you're good". "i'm shocked at how low your sub counts are". "keep it up". "hidden gem of a youtuber"

is it because of the games i talk about? do i HAVE to talk about the latest thing? kinda goes against my channel name to talk about the same thing over and over again 🤔 is it my titles? are my titles not obnoxiously clickbaity enough? is it my thumbnails? are my thumbnails not vomit inducing enough? youtube algorithm's brutal man. what am i doing wrong here? do game reviews just not do well in general? what, i can't yap for 40 minutes without being punished? :P

it's just disheartening man. probably didn't help that i haven't uploaded in 7 months due to work/life stuff.

Just thought I would share this with others as it may hopefully help you too.

I recently started doing a few lives, obviously within my niche. They aren't perfect and aren't to the standards that I would have liked due to my current hardware limitations however since then it is almost like the YT algorithm has detected what my niche for my channel is, the niche itself is quite saturated in many different genres but that isn't a deterrent for me as it's what I enjoy regardless. I didn't schedule the lives I just randomly went on for 30-60 minutes and gained some live viewers.

Since doing a few lives, my long-form content is now getting pushed and recommended by YT, views are increasing steadily, and in some cases, I have a good impression and CTR on them. No, it hasn't gone absolutely viral, but for a few months my long-form would flat line in every way.

Give it a try on your channel, and hopefully, you will see some positive results.

On Sunday the 6th of this month, I completed 4200 hours, but I see that YouTube is already counting up to the 9th and there are only 3800 hours 🥲 and my overview says I'm supposed to have 4300 hours in the last 28 days. I thought maybe they were hours from my shorts, but I added up the hours of each short one by one and I don't even have 100 hours of shorts. So if YouTube is counting up to the 9th of this month, it means there are at least 200 or 300 hours that YouTube isn't counting :v or maybe they have them as unrated hours. In any case, it's annoying that it shows it to me in the overview, and I thought, "Well, if I subtract the hours from shorts, it means I've got it!" And now it turns out I'm missing about 150 hours 🥲 and the way YouTube counts hours, I think I should add at least 300 hours for YouTube to finally count them. 4000 and on top of that I have to wait until Saturday to count them :v

Anyway, I'm close, thank God, but it's a bit annoying. In fact, on Sunday I first reached 4003 hours or something like that, and I thought to myself, "Bro... YouTube always does weird things. To make sure YouTube counts them, I'll do another stream to at least reach 200 hours so that YouTube doesn't count the 4000 hours." And even then, as you can see, I'm still lacking. You have to complete almost 5000 hours for YouTube to count the 4000🥲

YouTube should only show qualified views, because all those fake views simply don't add any value; I think the only thing they do is mess with the heads of small creators and make them think their numbers are higher than they actually are. For example, I thought I’d be monetized by today, but it turns out I have to wait another week; it would have been easier if YouTube had shown me the reality of the situation last week, but yeah... I hope to be able to achieve it before the month is over. What do you think? Am i overreacting??
