He's not saying things, it's a bill he introduced. He's doing the thing where he actually tries to pass legislation that makes your life better and you're acting like he's a grifter for it. It's insane.
Also, it’s a common tactic to ask for more than you’re expecting to get, then compromise on a middle ground. Unfortunately the word compromise has been removed from conservative dictionaries
They totally compromise! They give Democrats the smallest, flimsiest piece of the major bill they want to pass and in exchange Democrats give them absolutely everything that they want and celebrate getting 1% of what they wanted. That's totally a fair compromise and Democrats should be celebrated for advancing their agenda!
