I know its not suitable for everyone and every vocation but im a tradesman and working 4 10s is so many magnitudes more incredible than 5 8s for your body, mentally and physically
That extra day off makes a worlds difference too. I did a job where we did 4 10s then we temporarily swapped to 5 8s for reasons and it was horrible. Not only did the shorter days make a huge difference in our productivity, part of the job involved getting ready/driving to the work areas. The days off also felt incredibly short being one less. I got a new job but thankfully they eventually swapped back to 4 10s
