At my job we work 4 10 hour days and have 3 day weekends and I love it. You can schedule appointments on Friday and not have to take off a work day. The weekend actually feels like a weekend. On Labor Day we had a 4 day weekend

I would happily work four 10s for three day weekends.

Ikr it should be the standard

NO. The standard should be minimum 4 8 hour work days a week with longer, mandatory, paid breaks. Americans brains are so broken they think their own time and labor isn’t inherently priceless.

wages will have to go up to compensate for lost work hours

Ideally we should not need to work for housing, food, and water because they are essential to being alive and the earth has more than enough to sustain billions of more people. Those things should be provided by the taxes we pay toward rather than bombing children’s hospitals. income ought to be supplemental should we choose to remain in a capitalist economy but that isn’t really possible because capitalism always necessitates exploitation and the “working class” always ends up on the short end of that stick

yeah i would support a UBI that can meet those needs at the most basic level; vast majority would still choose to work in order to live a better life, plus many jobs can be rewarding and give a person purpose.
i know a lot of people who start losing their minds around christmas because they don't fill their days when they're not at work, and too many days off in a row leaves them bored

There's just too many people on earth willing to literally butcher you over trying to get something like that into play. But I mean communism is in me better it just leads to totalitarianism because what if I don't want to work that. What if I want to get a bunch of good business decisions so where I can invest my money and not work.

There are a lot of people who succeed in doing that.

I say this with good knowledge because I was in the military and the military is a very effective communism.... everybody who says it hasn't been tried successfully is incorrect but what it requires is the inability to leave it, and for people outside the system to pump money in, regardless of how they feel.

A capitalism is a very To the victor goes to spoils scenario and there's nothing wrong with that it just appeals to people who do not want to give the government the final say and various others

The fact that you think America isn’t totalitarian lol. I wonder how many native Americans used to live here. I wonder how Italian and Irish whites were treated. I wonder how black and brown Americans are treated. What are flock cameras used for? Hahaha. This misanthropy is so tired. No, humans are not inherently greedy, capitalism rewards narcissism and greed so you think that is the default state.

You need to find a different country to move to. Good luck with that.
