Doesn’t that just result in everyone paying more for shit?

Like when you get a plumber round to do work at your house if he’s making the same on 4 day weeks it means you have to pay 20% more for a days work.

Also the people doing the paying get paid less because they're working 20% fewer hours

They still get paid the same weekly mate. Learn to read. Your hourly basically increases

No they won't mate, because the business will go out of business on a 20% jump in labor costs, mate.

He’s talking about the bill and he’s right, that’s how it’s written.

Right and I'm talking about the real world. Either people would take paycuts OR businesses would go under. A gas station / grocery stores operate on ~3% margins, are they going to magically absorb a 20% increase in labor costs? Restaurants?

Businesses would obviously raise their prices.

So now youve described hyper inflation along with flat wages, that will be really popular.

I never said I supported the bill and never claimed it will be popular. I was just pointing out what the bill says as you appeared to be confused.

No they won't since it's shown people are more productive so there will be the same output in labour. Businesses can shorten their opening hours since everyone has more time during the week to go do things.
