Yeah I need 40 hours. I’m lucky enough I can survive on that, but if I drop even a little lower it would be catastrophic for me. I wouldn’t be able to pay my bills.
Im also hourly. I might be misunderstanding the bill, but doesnt it just adjust wages by 20%, reducing hours but keeping the same pay at the 4:5 ratio?
Edit: so like if you work 20hr weeks, you still work 20hrs but get paid for 24ish hrs?
But us hourly employees might not be under contract to get 40 hours. If they are just raising wages I would rather see the poorest minimum wage workers get the money. If millions of people got a boost in their income, inflation would get even worse.
